Cracking an egg into the pan as he saw it fry. Taehyung stared at the pan with no thoughts in his head in particular. Ok that was a lie he is thinking too much. 

He has been feeling super weird since last night. It's just an unusual feeling. He couldn't even sleep because he had a nightmare again and was restless because of it. He stretched his neck a bit as he rubbed it. 

Jeongguk didn't come home last night with him and that left him unfamiliar because he really wanted to talk to Jeongguk about what's happening with them and clear the fact out that he isn't interested in anything that includes relationships. But he couldn't. 

And when he came home, even Jimin wasn't home, surprisingly. He even tried to call him but Jimin didn't pick up. So he was alone with his thoughts. His depressing thoughts,no wonder he had a nightmare again. 

He flipped his egg and put it on his plate. He put the plate on the table and was going to start doing his breakfast but he was rudely interrupted by his ringtone. He took his phone out of the pocket and saw Jimin was finally calling him back.

"Hello? Jiminie. Why didn't you call me back last night? I was so worried you still aren't home" Taehyung asked him with a hint of worry.

 Since their job is a bit dangerous, Jimin And Taehyung try to tell each other about their whereabouts quite consecutively. Just to be on the safer side, Taehyung was rightfully very worried since Jimin didn't even text him anything.

"I know I'm so sorry tae I was busy the whole night that I couldn't find time to even grab my phone. I am OK though, don't worry" Jimin answered from the other side.

"That's good,where are you though?" 

"um...Will it be surprising if I said I am in Sungjae's headquarters?"  Jimin said as he heard nothing from Taehyung for a whole second. He is disappointed.

"Jimin,why the fuck are you already there? alone too!!" Yeah he is slightly mad.

 "You heard wonjin the sooner the better,why do you already miss Me?" 

"Jimin,you know that's not the point"

"I know I'm sorry but it's better If one of us goes and the other stays. You know this whole gang will fall if we leave so come on" Jimin tried to convince him that this is the better decision.

"Fine. how long will you stay there?"

"I don't know,the sooner we eliminate this fucker the faster I get out honestly why?"

".....It's just it's kinda dangerous being alone with Jeongguk" 

"Oh I forgot about Jeongguk. Did you have fun last night? playing his boyfriend? I bet your ass you did" 

"I mean I did have fun, Jeongguk sings...really good but it's just being alone with him with not you around is…" 

"why? you think you won't be able to control your desire to fuck-" He was cut off immediately by Taehyung.

"Please shut up Jimin you know it's not like that" 

"No jokes aside. I think you should date him he is a nice boy" 

"Jimin, we had this talk before and I told you I am not interested in dating" 

"Taehyung, you need to stop this. I have seen you two together and I also know you are at peace with him. I know you didn't get nightmares every time you guys slept together. Your own body likes his presence and finds comfort in him. Now I don't believe in that type of shit but this is...undeniable" Hearing all these things from the person he trusts the most. He knows there's some truth to it but he refuses to acknowledge it.

"Jimin" His voice got deeper as he was warning him to stop.

"Taehyung,you know...you need to move on. You know Seungho would want you to move on and find someone who makes you happy and not just cry about him every night." Jimin's words were like a wake up call Taehyung wasn't ready to hear. 

"I am not cut out for relationships Jimin. That's why I failed Seungho, he was disappointed in me and he died because of me. I don't want history to repeat itself because Jeongguk would never find happiness with me and I will end up ki-" 

"Taehyung!!! you know thats not fucking true" Jimin yelled. Absolutely hating how Taehyung is speaking about himself.

"We both know it is. I killed him. and now I have to suffer the consequences of my actions" 

"Taehyung-fuck it's not like that, you are just blaming yourself because that's the only way you can cope. I would have loved to put some sense into you but I gotta go if they saw me on phone with you they would just ask questions"

"Bye jimin stay safe please"

"I will,love you tae"

"you too, bye" Taehyung hung up the phone immediately. Feeling overwhelmed from the feelings he was feeling from the conversation with Jimin.

He didn't even have an appetite anymore. He grabbed his hair and pulled them a bit in anger. He hates it so much,he doesn't want to blame himself for everything that happened but Jimin was right...this is how he copes.

He let out a frustrated groan. He had his head down when he suddenly heard Younger's voice.

"Taehyung? you okay?"

"hm? Jeongguk? yeah I'm okay. Are you hungry? just eat this,I made it just now." Taehyung replied to him as he pushed the plate next to him where Jeongguk sat down. He didn't look at him. 

Jeongguk noticed how Taehyung seemed down but he didn't decide to comment on it and just started to eat. 

"When did you come h-home last night?" He stuttered as he was trying to get himself together. He doesn't want Jeongguk to know why he is feeling overwhelmed. He looked up at Jeongguk and froze.

"Oh I got home by 2am? sorry I got caught up with-" Jeongguk was cut off by Taehyung almost immediately.

"What happened to your face?" Taehyung asked him with a serious tone. Jeongguk cursed himself for forgetting to hide the ugly bruise. His hand on Jeongguk's cheeks caressing it gently as he examined the bruise. 

"It's nothing tae-" 

"Who did this to you?" Taehyung sounded completely serious. Jeongguk gulped by how angry Taehyung looked. 

"It's alright Tae. I got into a little fight with my friend" Jeongguk lied because he doesn't die to greet Siwoo.

"It was that bitch from last night wasn't it? what was his fucking name? Siwoo?" Taehyung asked and Jeongguk knew he couldn't hide it anymore. He knew from Jeongguk's expression he was right. 

"I am gonna kill him. Wasn't my threat enough for him to leave you alone? Who does he think he is? An excuse of a man Is what he is." 

"He didn't believe it. He thought it was absurd how I am dating you since you are like...V and I'm just me. He kinda had a point" 

"The only thing he has is the nerve to lay a hand on you. How dare he? how are you okay with this?!" Though it is off topic but Jeongguk loves how much Taehyung is worried for him it shows he cares.

"I am not. I punched him back and told him a lot of shit he needed to hear so just leave it. I don't think he will come after me again"  Jeongguk answered, trying to eat. 

"Still,it's not just you I feel disrespected. How dare he think I'm not V? maybe I should show him one my favourite tactics to torture-"

"Please don't tae. I don't have money to get you out of jail"

"Innocent until proven guilty Gukkie. You don't have to worry about it. Just eat" The younger one decided to leave it. He just hopes Siwoo doesn't like...die.

"Fine...where is Jimin though?" Jeongguk asked him as Taehyung got up from the couch and walked towards Kitchen again.

He stretched upwards making his shirt go up a bit revealing his lower back and tiny waist. Jeongguk almost gasped from what he saw. 

"He is on a mission-"

"You have a tramp stamp" Jeongguk cut him off immediately when he saw the tattoo on his lower back. 

Taehyung turned around with a confused face. He let out a chuckle from seeing the younger man's face.

"Yeah I do. How do you not know that? we literally had sex Jeongguk" 

"I told you before We were blackout drunk and lights were off so I barely saw anything. Only thing I remember is you screaming my name-" 

"Shut Up oh my god. Does that mean you haven't seen my other tattoos too?" Taehyung questioned him,Jeongguk froze for a second.

"There's more? I only know the gang one on your collarbone and now this. That's so fucking hot of you honestly,where are the others?" He complimented him and Taehyung smirked as he sat back down next to him. He got closer to his face.

"Guess you will have to find out,pretty boy" He flicked his chin with a seductive look. It is too early to be turned on.

"Is this an invitation for me to blow your back out?" Jeongguk asked him back with a smirk now. Taehyung shrugged.

"I don't know is it? You are the one you talk by the way like you literally have your whole sleeve tattooed. Which let me tell is like top 2 thing of you thats hot" 

"What's number one?"

"This face of yours" Taehyung was flirting with him and Jeongguk heart was doing backflips by all these comments. 

"Wow, bold are we? My mother almost had a heart attack when I showed her my arm but I guess all that scolding is worth it" Jeongguk answered with a smile.

"Oh yeah? I was surprised too. Someone as rich and proper as you have tattoos. With all these piercings on your ears,These long hair and your closet just everything screams trouble about you. You know you look like you belong in the gang more than me" Taehyung brushed his hands through Jeongguk's silky hair. 

"True,I thought you were like some CEO when I first saw you. You have like thousands of suits in your closet. I won't be surprised if you are running a business on the side just in case this gang thing flops" Jeongguk told him, making Taehyung laugh after Jeongguk referred to his whole life as just a "gang thing".

"Oh baby I wish this was all just part time or some shit but I'm afraid I'm trapped in the underworld forever" Taehyung smiled at Jeongguk who was now looking concerned.

"Yeah about that I mean...isn't it possible to leave?"

"Why? Are you worried about me,angel?" Taehyung was giving him mixed signals and that is not good for the raven's health.

"..Kinda. I mean Jimin told me some more stuff about your guys work and that whole charity event fiasco. It is all just very dangerous" He had every right to be worried but there's nothing Taehyung could do. He can't get out this is his life.

"Don't worry about me. I have been doing all this since I was a kid and afterall...I am V, Jeongguk. People tremble in fear when they hear my name, I am fucking invincible"

"Wow, do you have a superiority complex? you are still a human Taehyung and everyone gets hurt"

"Oh believe me I know. Its just I have been hurt so much,nothing really pains me anymore"

"nothing?"

"nothing"

"oh"

"Yeah,just don't meddle too much in our business Jeongguk. I know you have already been through so much with us but trust me stay out of it. Getting involved with me and Jimin will only bring you trouble. Though we can protect ourselves but you cannot so please,you are my friend and I don't want to see you hurt" Taehyung told him all this and Jeongguk just nodded.

He couldn't help but feel hurt. He knows Taehyung is sincere,he doesn't want anyone to hurt him because he can't always protect him but to Jeongguk this sounds like Taehyung is pushing him away,out of his life and he doesn't like that. He doesn't want that. 

He doesn't want to live a life where there isn't a Kim Taehyung and he doesn't have plans to live that life either.
