SETTING
STILL MINE unfolds in Myit [Me – yet] the financial capital of the fictional country – Taung Minam [Ta -Ung My -Naam]
Located between Myanmar and Thailand, it is home to 23 million people. For centuries, it has reaped the benefits of being the connection between the Silk Road and the Indian ocean. It was a trade hub that attracted traders and artisans from all over Asia, who eventually settled down and made Taung Minam a fast paced, multicultural country.
But not anymore, radical times and modern technology has widened the gap between the haves and the have-nots. Worse, the country's new government, with its traditional and outdated ideology is adamant on sowing discord between the so-called natives and the outsiders.
