A/N: Hello everyone.  I am sorry I haven't updated in awhile,  but rest assured I am not abandoning this story. I've had a lot going on with my daughter and I had an accident recently.  I'll try my best to get back into writing soon.

While Sebastian followed Thad to the altar to prepare for his upcoming nuptials, Rachel was standing in front of a mirror getting her dress and veil on. 

Rachel had never been more nervous, and her best friend Kurt Hummel was not making her nervousness go away by constantly griping at how her hair look or making sure her makeup didn't smear. Seriously,  you would think HE was getting married.  But, after everything they had been through, he was her best friend. He understood her better than anyone.  Well, aside from the man who she was soon going to be sharing the rest of her life with. ..Sebastian Smythe. 

Wow talk about complete opposites, but somehow they  just worked. Sure he was known as the "asshole of Dalton Academy". But, to her, he was so much more. Behind his snarky attitude, he was the most loving, and most caring man she had ever met. In many ways he reminded her of Noah Puckerman, her first boyfriend. Behind all of his badness, was a gentle teddy bear.

Their romance was a whirlwind, epic kind of romance. He swept her off her feet, spoiled her. And the lovemaking...yeah *sigh*

Not to say they didnt have their ups & downs. Rachel was just as stubborn as Sebastian.

*Flashback *

Sebastian : Rachel, how many times do I need to say it?! I don't do feelings. You should already KNOW how I feel about you?!

Rachel: You're so stubborn! I  asked a simple question.  If you can't tell me then maybe we're not meant to be-

Sebastian : Are you seriously breaking up with me over this? Maybe Puckhead is right, YOU ARE bat-shit crazy!

Rachel: Well you chose to date this "bat-shit crazy" woman, you know what I'm done. I hate you!

Sebastian : I hate you too!

Rachel gasped and just as she was about to storm out, Rachel Berry-style, Sebastian grabbed her pulling her into his arms, kissing her deeply. Rachel gave into his kiss. He drove her crazy, but she loved him.

Rachel : I love you,  Seb.

Sebastian : I love you, too, pretty girl. Guess we are both bat-shit crazy then. *he laughed*

Rachel smiled.  "No one else I'd share that title with, " she giggled. They kissed.

*Flashback ends*

Rachel smiled as she reminisces. She was shaken at her thoughts when she heard her name called.

Kurt: RACHEL? !!

Rachel: I'm right here,Kurt. You don't need to shout.

Kurt: We don't have time to daydream. Unless you're thinking of pulling a Runaway Bride and ditch Craigslist, then I'm all for it. But if you must go through with this beautiful disaster, then let's get you ready.

Tina: You ARE ready right , Rachel?

Rachel sighed. Yes she has been ready.

Rachel: Let's get married.

Rachel and her bridesmaids did a final hair and makeup check. She took a deep breath and grabbed her bouquet.

Rachel walked out of the room, and met her dad's at the entrance doors. Behind those doors stood the love of her life.

LeRoy Berry, her dad, had tears in his eyes when he saw his beautiful,  Rachel. Although LeRoy and Hiram were going through a divorce,  they were both committed to their shining star.

Leroy: Rachel,  honey, you look beautiful. 

Hiram: Stunning. It seems like just yesterday we brought you home from the hospital.  Now we're giving you away. Are you sure you're ready?

Kurt: Tell them no.

Rachel : Kurt?! Yes I am ready. I know Sebastian is the one I'm supposed to be with . I think, she added silently.

Leroy: Let's get married.

As the music began, Rachel felt the nerves.  She couldn't wait to see her fiancé.  As doors opened, Rachel looked down to see her beloved, but noticed one problem- Sebastian wasn't there. 

Rachel: Dad? Daddy? WHERE IS SEBASTIAN? ?

Leroy: What?! He was here. Maybe he went to the bathroom?

Rachel: This can't be happening. .where is he??!!

*cough*

Rachel turned to see Thad standing behind her.

Rachel: Thad,  where is Sebastian? ?

Thad: Rachel, you know he loves you. .

Rachel: Where is Sebastian? ?

Thad: Well you see its a funny story..

Rachel: Thad?! Where the hell is he?!!

Thad: Sebastian is gone. 

Rachel suddenly felt like she was being stabbed in the heart.

Rachel : He can't be gone. 

Thad: He left you this note.

Thad handed Rachel a small note, in Sebastian's handwriting.  Rachel felt her tears falling as she read:

My dearest Rachel,

By the time you get this you will be waiting to get married but find me gone. Don't ever think that I don't love you, because that would be a lie. I love you more than you could ever imagine.  This is the hardest thing I'll ever do but I have to be honest. I'm not sure if I'm ready to settle down. I do want to marry you..one day. But just not right now.  I don't want to hold you back from your dreams,  so I'm setting you free. Let the universe do its thing and if we find our way back to each other than we are meant to be. I hope one day you can forgive me. I love you, Rachel. Goodbye.

Rachel felt her whole body shake as she began to sob. She stormed into bridal room, grabbed a vase and shattered it and collapsed into tears.

Rachel : NO!!!!!!!!!!!

For the first time in a long time, Rachel was broken. Sebastian was gone. ....

Sebastian was hiding but saw Rachel break down. He hated hurting her, but thought it was best to set her free.

Sebastian : I am sorry, Rachel. I love you so much. I'm sorry.

Sebastian's heart shattered as he walked away from the only woman he EVER loved...
