Jennifer's POV:

I was lying in bed bored out of my mind and my thought drifted to Arielle. That's what they've been doing ever since I left. I couldn't but think about how she's doing? Is she dating someone?

I've tried to get her out of my head but I couldn't. I've tried seeing other people but it never works out because they're not her. And I know I'll never find anyone like her because she was unique. And even though I was the one who distanced myself from her I can't help but hope that one day we'll meet again.

Arielle's POV:

"I think this it it." I said dropping down the box that had my pictures and stuff in it.

"Yeah I think so." Jaylin said, trying to catch her breath.

Jaylin and I were currently moving our boxes into our newly bought apartment. It was simple, but it was nice. It had 2 bedrooms, one was Jaylin's and one was mine, 3 bathrooms, one in each of our rooms and one in the hallway, a kitchen that was connected to the living room.

"Do you wanna start unpacking now?" I asked.

"Hell no, I'm hungry, you wanna go to Smash-burger?" She asked.

"Yea sure, let me just grab my keys and we can go." I said to her.

So we headed to Smash-burger and chose a booth to sit in.

"Do you want to order, or do you want me to go?" Jaylin asked.

"Uhm, I'll go. Do you want your usual?"

She just nodded her head and took out her phone, to preoccupied with whatever she was doing to give me a verbal response.

I stood on the line and it literally felt like a year standing on it until finally it was my turn.

I told the lady my order and moved out the way so people can go around me.

So I took out my phone and started scrolling, looking through Snapchat stories until I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around came face to face with a gorgeous girl. She had long silky black hair that stopped around her stomach and turquoise colored eyes, and a birthmark on the left of her mouth.

"Sorry." She said, and I noticed that she had an accent.

"It's fine, did you need something?" I asked.

"I was just wondering if you were on line?" She asked.

I stared at her with confusion written all over my face because I was clearly not on the line.

Seeing my expression she laughed a little and said "Let me rephrase, I'm Ava, and I was wondering if you were here by yourself?"

"That's a pretty name. I'm Arielle, and..." I trailed off. I really wanted to get to know this girl more, there was something about her that I couldn't quite put my finger on.

I turned around and looked at Jaylin, and saw that she was staring at me and Ava. She flashed me a look and all of a sudden went back to tapping at on her phone screen.

Buzz Buzz

"I'm sorry this won't take long." I said and took my phone out of my pocket. I got a text message from Jaylin.

Bestie: Who's that girl???

Me: Some girl that I met just now.

Bestie: Looks to me like she's into you.👀

Me: She asked if I was here alone...

Bestie: It's fine, go get it on with that hot girl Ari 😉.

I just rolled my eyes at that last text and put my phone back into my pocket.

"So... would you like to join me?" She asked.

I flashed her a smile and said sure.

Ava was actually a really cool person and I learned a lot about her.

She's from England but she moved here when she was 10. She has 2 older siblings and she's going to be attending the same College as Jaylin and I.

"I had fun." she taking what I would assume to be the last bite of her burger.

"I did too." I said, and reached over and took a bite from her burger.

"Hey, we aren't supposed to be sharing food until we're married." She joked.

"Whatever." I said.

We cleaned off our table and left Smash-burger.

"Will I be seeing you again?" She asked.

"I mean obviously, we're going to be going to the same college." I said.

She chuckled a little bit and said "Well yes that's true, but I would like to see you before then, seeing as that's a whole month from now."

"Well if you want to see me that bad." I joked. "Give me your phone." I demanded.

She handed it over and I put my number in her phone and saved my name as "That girl from Smash-burger."

"There." I said and handed it back to her.

We didn't do anything but stand there staring at each other. Until she leaned in and kissed my lips. It was a quick peck.

"See ya later Arielle." She said and headed to what I assumed was her car. I waved at her until she drove out of the parking lot.

I headed back inside and looked for Jaylin and saw her in the same spot that I left her.

"You're gonna have to tell me all the details." Jaylin said, and picked up her purse.

"Yea, yea whatever." I said rolling my eyes, but I knew that I wouldn't have a problem telling Jaylin because I knew I would enjoy talking about Ava.
