Shravan: Sumo, is waqt sb bhul jao, sirf apne andar ka dard bahar nikaldo.

*Flashback*

Since school time, Verma had a crush on Sumo. He discovered that Shravan and Suman are family friends, so he thought that they might have some feelings for each other. So, he decided to propose Sumo. Sumo, being childish at that time, denied him and also insulted him. He was enraged due to his insult. Time passed and they all got admitted in a well known college. Shravan had gone abroad for further studies. Verma thought that the way is clear now and he proposed her again in a college party. This time, Sumo became really furious and slapped him in front of the whole college.

Verma became really furious and and said

"Iska badle to tumse jaldi hi lunga Suman Tiwari"

Pushkar was also present in that party and he saw how Verma did threaten Sumo. He was going to beat him but Sumo stopped him. 

*Next day*

Pushkar met Verma in college.

Pushkar: Har baar nhi bolunga. Pehli aur aakhri baar warning de rha hu. Smjh le. Agar aage se Sumo ki taraf aankh utha ke bhi dekha to unn aankho se aur kuch dekh nhi paega. Smjha!

Verma: Oye Sumo ke chamche! Baato ke rocket mt uda! Agar kuch krke dikhana hi h, to chup chap baith ke dikha, jb m teri khaas dost ko apna bana lunga!

Pushkar: Wo to waqt hi btaega.

From that day, Pushkar started to be more with Suman. He used to be with her whenever possible. (Guys, don't get confused. Here, Pushman (Pushkar and Suman) and same age.)

Verma came to Suman and apologised for his deeds. Sumo had become friendly after departure of Shravan to abroad because she didn't want to lose more friends due to her attitude. So, she forgave him.

But as there is a hindi saying- "Savdhaani hati, ........................" (fill in the blanks readers)

That's it. Pushkar wanted to celebrate Suman's birthday really nicely. He took permission from Nanu which nanu happily gave. But due to Manju mami's tantrums, he decided to keep it in Suman's childhood home. Suman called all of her friends in that party, including Verma.

On party day, everyone had arrived there. The decorations were making the environment all happening. Her best friends Anjali, Sonam (imaginary) had also come. 

Suman was looking really elegant in her birthday dress. 

All were celebrating when Sonam accidentally dropped some cold drink on Sumo's dress.

Sonam: I am so sorry Sumo. Tum jaldi jake ise saaf krlo nahi to daag padh jaega.

Sumo: Ha, m jati hu.

She went upstairs in a room and started cleaning it. She noticed someone behind her and when she looked back, there she found Verma standing with an evil smirk.

Verma: Kya hua Suman? Kuch madad karu?

Sumo: Nhi! Please Tum Anjali ko buladoge?

Verma: Kyu kya hua? Acha acha dress gandi hui uske liye, koi baat nhi. M to hu na. M help kr deta hu. (taking steps towards her)

Sumo: Nhi, tum Anjali ko bulado. (Taking steps back.)

(She kept taking steps back while Verma kept moving towards her. She had to stop after sometime due to wall behind her back.)

Sumo: Tum, tum ye kya kr rhe ho?

Verma: Kuch bhi to nhi. (touching her cheek)

Sumo: Peeche, peeche..dur hato.

Verma: Offo! Ab bhi duri. Tum bhi na Suman. Itna handsome insaan tumhare saamne h aur tum ho ki hatne ki baat kr rhi ho. M to kehta hu kisi ko kuch bhi pta nhi chlega. To tum ye naatak chhod do.

*Downstairs*

Pushkar came to Anjali and asked her about Sumo's whereabouts.

Anjali: Wo Sonam ne glti se cold drink giradi thi uski dress pr. To wo use saaf krne hi gyi thi upar. Pr use gye hue to kafi waqt ho gya.

Pushkar looked around and went suspicious when he found Verma also missing. (Future lawyer ka mind abhi se chlna shuru ho gya)

Both Pushkar and Anjali went upstairs.

*Upstairs*

Verma pushed her. She fell on the floor. Verma started approaching her but paused listening to the knock on the door.

Pushkar: Sumo! Tu andar h kya?

Sumo: Ha..

She couldn't speak further because Verma had covered her mouth with his hand. He was holding both of her hands with his other hand. His grip was strong enough to not make Suman move. Pushkar and Anjali knocked again but got no response. Sumo saw a vase beside her. She kicked that vase, it came down on the floor and the crashing voice of the vase alarmed Pushkar and Anjali. They started pushing the door while Verma held her hair and started coming near her. She was trying to get out of his hold. After some attempts, the door opened. Both pushed the door and entered inside and saw Verma holding Suman's hair and she trying to get out of his hold. Both helped to free Suman and then Pushkar started beating Verma.

Anjali called the police in the meantime. Till the time police came, Verma was almost unconscious. Pushkar kept beating him. Police freed Verma and took him with them. The whole group of people who were gathered for Sumo's party were now outside the room, seeing the sight in front of them. Some whispering to each other while other just seeing the drama.

In all of this, nobody saw Suman's face which was staring to nothing. She was just thinking again and again about the happenings. Pushkar hugged Sumo and kept talking to her but she replied to nothing. She pushed everyone outside the room and went inside washroom and sat under shower. She was rubbing her hands and cheeks where Verma had touched her. She cried very much.

That night was a nightmare to her. She was very much devastated after this act. Though she didn't do anything wrong, she couldn't take the happenings of that night outside her mind. Since then, she became really quiet.

Sumo looked at Shravan whose eyes were full of rage. She hugged him with all the energy she had. He gave in and hugged her back.

Shravan: Sumo! M bhot zyada sharminda hu. M tumhare saath uss waqt nhi tha jb tumhe meri sbse zyada zarurat thi. Balki m to tumse rooth kr betha hua tha wo bhi bhot dur jakar. Aur upar se mene tumhe kitna bura-bhala bhi kaha. Kuch sunne ki koshish nhi ki tumhare side se. M sorry Sumo. Please mujhe maaf...

Sumo: (putting finger on his mouth) Shravan tumhe sorry bolne ki koi zarurat nhi h. Kyunki mene apne bachpane me hi tumhe khudse dur kia. Pr ab jb tum aur baki sb log mere paas h to mujhe kisi cheez ka dar nhi h.

Shravan: Pr Sumo, ye baat tumne ghr pr kisi ko btai kyu nhi? Aur papa ko kese pta chli ye baat?

Sumo: Ek din Pushkar se baat krte hue Ramnath uncle ne sun liya. Unhone mujhe kasam di to mujhe unhe batana pada. Unko bhi bhot bda jhatka lga ye sb sunke. Wo uss time kafi renowned lawyer bn gye the, to unhone apne contacts lgake Verma ko jail bhijwa dia aur use 2 saal ki saza hui. Mene ghr pe btana sahi nhi smjha kyunki nanu ki tabiyat theek nhi rehti thi.

Aur tumhe pta h, jisne mere ghr pe kabza kia tha wo koi aur nhi, Verma ka hi aadmi khosla tha. Mene bhot koshish ki uss ghr ko bachane ki pr nhi kr pai.

Shravan: Tbhi tum parties me nhi jana chahti thi London me!

Suman: Ha Shravan, mujhe ab parties bilkul pasand nhi thi. Wo office ki success party me bhi m bhot mushkil se gyi thi, kyunki m bhot dari hui thi. Jb bhi kisi party me jati, to hmesha mujhe wahi sb yaad aa jata tha.

Shravan: Aur wo depress...(he paused)

Suman: M tumhare jane ke baad bhot zyada introvert ho gyi thi. Kisi se zyada baat nhi krti thi. Bully krna aur gussa krna mene bilkul chhod diya tha, iss dar se kahi bache hue dost bhi mujhse dur na ho jae. Pr phir dekha ki wo log to sirf mere bullying nature ki waja se mere saath the. Zyadatar dosto ne tbhi saath chhod dia aur m tumhe bhot miss krne lgi. Sochne lgi ki agar m tumhe wo sb na bolti to aaj tum mere saath hote. Overthinking ki waja se doctor se mujhe consult krwaya aur unhone btaya ki agar thoda pehle pta chlta to shayad m depression me jati hi nhi. Phir mera counseling hua aur m thodi theek hui.

Shravan: Sumo, uss bag me kya lai thi tum?

Sumo: Wo uska phone aaya tha mere paas aur usne kaha ki uske paas meri aur uski kuch buri pictures h, pehle to m maani nhi pr phir jb usne mujhe 1-2 pictures bheji to mene usse bola ki ye sari jhooti h. To usne mujhse kaha ki itni achi editing hui h ki koi meri baat nhi maanega. Mene aap teeno me se kisi se nhi kaha kyunki usne mujhe dhamki di thi ki wo tumhara haal bura kr dega. Usne mujhse bhot sare pese maange the warna wo un photos ko sbko dikha deta. Mene socha m uski baat nhi maanungi pr phir jb m ghr gyi to mamiji ne kisi baat pe mujhe bhot sunaya. Tb mujhe lga ki shayad koi bhi meri baat nhi maanega. Isliye mene jitne pese the wo aur uske alawa ma ke gehne apne saath le lia.

Shravan: Pr Sumo, hm shaam me mile the na, to tumne mujhe bta dena tha na. Itna kamzor smjha h kya mujhe?

Sumo: Nhi shravan. Pr uss samay jo mujhe sahi lga, mene wahi kia. Tumhare saath time bitaya kyunki m nhi jaanti thi ki uss Verma ke changul se kese chhutungi. Bs isliye.

Shravan: Sumo, tum bhot bahadur ho, Reena se bhi zyada.

Sumo: (trying to make the environment lighten) Shayad koi bhul gya ki kisi ne mera naam Sumo isiliye rkha tha.

Both chuckled.

Sumo: Acha detective sahab, mujhse to sb ugalwa lia, ab tum btao, tumhe Verma ke baare me pehle se pta tha na?

Shravan: N..nhi..to. (Not meeting her eyes)

Sumo: Acha! Mujhse jhoot bologe?

Shravan: Wo...wo actually...
