Leaves rustled and crunched, frozen by the cold winter air, as each footfall fell upon them. Slow, calculating steps were followed with the soft patter of a further 3 pairs of feet.
 
Pausing, the older and wiser velociraptor sniffed at the air and tapped her claws against the ground. She was close.

Soft Chirps broke her focus and she let out a soft snort before picking up the pace. The soft patters that followed her significantly larger footsteps stumbled along quickly behind her, sometimes faltering as young legs lost their balance.

Dawn, stood tall on her back legs as a Louder Call reached her ears. A very Familiar call. With Improved vigour the raptor burst through the final line of the tree. She stood on the edge of the cliff, that hung high above a small town.

She Called and Called but got no answer, until claws scrambled against the side of the mountain, climbing up the rough and steep path. A few seconds of silence past.

A Grey, scaly nose peeped over the surface of the cliff, soon followed by a pair of amber, shining eyes and then a very familiar body.

Blue Stood Before her, Taller and Stronger than ever before, his body was littered with scars and his blue stripe was brighter in colour.

Three tiny Raptors huddled in around the females feet went unknown to Blue. He Stretched out his neck, clawing softly to his mate, eyes displaying the emotions of 6 months apart. When Dawn returned his soft call he stepped forward, towering over her like he had always done and looking down at her.

Her eyes softened at the sight or the one she had been on a relentless search for. Her head found it way against his neck and she muzzled against him. Searching for the comfort that she always found in his presence.

The soft moment was broken by tiny growls and small heads numbing against Blue's Legs. Looking at Dawn in Bewilderment he leaned down towards the three young hatchlings, sniffing at them and finally guzzling at them, overcome by happiness. She watched on in amusement as all finally seemed right in the world.
But was it really?
