☁︎︎ Third POV

News of Y/n being kidnapped my Muzan spread like wild fire. Just like before, it reached everyone that knew Y/n, the monster controlling the angst of the situation seemed to have grown stronger for everyone, bringing them to tears when they received the letter.

Of course, everyone had a different reaction, along with a different copping mechanisms to deal with the sudden situation. Y/n leaving for a mission, him getting heavily injured, and now him disappearing without a trace, left a mental scar for everyone.

The monster controlling the angst seems to be pleased with it. The monster does not exist psychically, but it always seemed to be there. It controlled how people cried, it controlled people's negative emotion, it was a burden to everyone.

Out of everyone, Tanjiro and Hinata seemed to be the main victims to this monster. Tanjiro had been with Y/n since the very beginning, staying by his side seemed like second nature to him, but with Y/n gone, he felt lost in a way. Although Tanjiro is a 'leader' of some sort, without Y/n he felt like he was nothing. He felt like a speck of dirt amongst the sand, nothing and unnoticeable. He was only noticeable when Y/n was around, he was just wondering a world he knew nothing about. This scared him, shaking him to the core, and he had no Y/n to comfort him.

Hinata is Y/n's crow, and had only been Y/n's crow. Y/n was the first slayer to actually accept Hinata's outgoing personality, and he's been by the crows side since then. Y/n was always there to play with Hinata, to make Hinata's day better, but Y/n's gone now. Hinata has no person to make him feel better anymore.

Zenitsu was another person who fell victim to the monster. He wasn't there to save Y/n from Gyutaro, he wasn't there to save Y/n from the spider demon, he wasn't there to save Y/n from Muzan. Zenitsu blames himself for being too scared, too incompetent, too useless for Y/n. And it doesn't help that he can't turn to his Gramps for help anymore. To Zenitsu it seemed like everyone he loves are slowly disappearing.

Inosuke was oddly silent, too silent, about everything. No one truly knew what Inosuke was ever feeling because of his boar head covering his face, but Y/n always knew what he was feeling because of his aura. Y/n cheered Inosuke up, he made Inosuke feel fuzzy inside, he wants to feel that again. Inosuke couldn't help but crave for Y/n appreciation, they were always comforting to him.

Kanao heard the news through her crow, and she didn't know whether to scream, cry, or anything else, so she was in a silent shock throughout the whole ordeal. She always had troubled with her emotions and decisions, but with Y/n it felt like she was free from the chains she had created for herself. Y/n was always there to make her be herself, but now she felt like she was in a cage again. She felt alone, like a bird or a fish swimming around and around it's tank over and over again.

Genya trained his hardest after hearing what had happened to Y/n. He had this odd knowledge that if he was stronger he would be able to protect Y/n better, be with Y/n sooner, and suddenly Y/n would appear before him. Of course, this never worked and only caused Genya to cry during his training sessions all bruised up and bloody because he overworked himself. But Genya never stopped training, since this is the only thing he can control in his life.

Other than Tanjiro, Uzui seemed to have it second to worse, he fell right into the hands of the monster controlling everyone's feelings. Some days, Uzui never wanted to get up from his bed, others he didn't want to eat, and this worries his wives. His wives care for him and seeing Uzui like a mess hurts them to the core, but they don't blame him. They are just as devastated as Uzui when they heard the news. They wanted to care for Uzui, but they knew that he needed his space, so they'll continue to wait for him.

Depression, angst, sadness, and death isn't something that Giyuu was unfamiliar with. For fuck sakes his best friend and sister died right before him, but, for some reason, Y/n's disappearance seemed to stab him straight through his soul. If he wasn't distant now, he was definitely distant to everyone. He didn't care if no body talked to him, comforted him, because none of them will comfort and talk to him like Y/n would. Y/n would speak so softly to him it was like soft rain fall, it was calming, but now whenever someone brings up Y/n's name, it sound like a thunder storm, hurting Giyuu wherever he went. He tried to avoid conversations with Y/n's name in it as much as possible because it hurts so much.

Gyomei prayed every night, every morning, every afternoon, for Y/n to come back safely. He doesn't care if it may take a decade, a century, a lifetime, he just wants to see Y/n safe in his arms at least once just to know that he was okay and well. Gyomei took on more missions, worked over the limit he put himself at. He killed every demon that crossed his path with tears in his eyes, but not before questioning them where Y/n was, but it was useless since he always failed. Gyomei cried more often now, almost every minute he was crying, even in his sleep - which he barely even gets nowadays. He just wants to see Y/n safe with everyone again.

Obanai was more stressed, more anxious with anger, sometimes he would shake with anger on random occasions. He couldn't help it, even Kaburamaru couldn't help him. He didn't want to sleep either, his night terrors started to spike from his past. Usually, Y/n would help Obanai with his night terrors, one time he even stayed over for Obanai, all because Obanai was too scared to sleep on his day off. But Y/n's gone, token by the most evil person in the world, just... how could he take such a nice person like Y/n, who brings joy to everyone without even realizing it. Obanai couldn't do anything about it though, and it infuriated him that he knew that.

Mitsuri didn't like being the item to the monster of angst. It brought her breakdowns, meltdowns, panic attacks, anxiety, and anxiety attacks, it was torture. Mitsuri knows that she couldn't have done anything but it still hurt like hell that she didn't even try. She wasn't there to save Y/n either times but she kept blaming herself nonetheless. Sometimes, she would go to the restaurant that she and Y/n would go to together - sometimes with Obanai - and just eat there on random occasions. It gives her a sense of safety, but it gave her sadness that Y/n wouldn't be there with her, eating and chatting with her anymore.

Muichiro could practically feel his memories of Y/n being flooded out of his brain, but he always refused to let his memories of Y/n go. Y/n was so kind and good to him, he didn't want to forget. Everyday he would look at the paper crane and other origami's that Y/n made for him, he would practice folding papers after papers so that he could do origami with Y/n when he gets back. Muichiro would barrow books from the library in the nearby village just to read on how to fold origami. This was the only way he could remember Y/n, and he will keep doing it until Y/n returns... If he ever returns.

We all know how aggressive Sanemi is, but now he's gone quiet, not caring of what people thought of him or what people would talk to him about. His mind was contently clouded with a million thoughts and what if's, making him almost unresponsive to anyone's conversation. The only time when he isn't dazed out is when he is fighting a demon, then he would turn from dazed into a humanized-demon. He killed all demons without a second thought, whoever he came back from a mission he would always have a daze look again but drenched in blood. Y/n was usually there to balance Sanemi out, making sure he stayed level headed, but with him gone, Sanemi is nothing but unbalanced.

Shinobu was another massive victim to the monster of angst. She buried herself in work, trying her best to make new medication and potions on better healing, since she believes that if Y/n would've been healed better, he would've still be with her today. Her family is gone and now Y/n is gone, all Shinobu ever wanted was for Y/n to stay by her side, but even that was too much to ask for whatever lord or god was above, since Muzan took Y/n away from her. Oh, how she wanted to kill Muzan with her every being, just thinking about him brings a frown to her face. No fake smile could cover up her despair and depression, and no real smile may ever come back to her until Y/n is with her.

Kiriya and Senjuro, although didn't know each other than, knew each other through Y/n. Y/n was the one who introduced the young boy to the other, because of Y/n Kiriya and Senjuro were friends, and they both looked up to Y/n as an older brother. When they both heard the news, Senjuro was quick to run over to the Ubuyashiki estate to see Kiriya. They both cried, with each other in their arms since it felt like they had lost a family member. They both stayed by each other's side, wherever Senjuro went Kiriya followed and wherever Kiriya went Senjuro stayed with him, they stick by each other's side comforting each other so that the other would never be alone. To them, this would've been what Y/n wanted.

But just like everything else in life, time has to move on. Although the monster controlling the angst was still in the back of everyone's mind, they still had a job to do and training to get started. So, they tried their best to push back the negative feelings to continue on with their day.

However, the monster never went away. It lingered in every corner, in every crack, in every darkened spot in a building. There was just no escaping the fact that Y/n was taken, it was just reality that no one dared to accept.

☁︎︎ Meanwhile ☁︎

Y/n ran through the infinity castle that he was trapped in. His strength was slowly coming back to him after a week of staying at the demon's headquarters, but it was enough strength for him to run fast enough. At least, that's what he thought.

Y/n jumped on rooms after rooms, going through doors and windows in order to find the exit out of this place. However, everything was a maze and looked almost exactly the same, so there was no telling if Y/n had been in the same room or not.

Suddenly the door under Y/n snapped opened. Y/n's eyes widened as he fell through the door, tumbling a bit as he landed in a room. The room was simple, just like all the others, but it had two candles lit with blue fire, a bowl of fruits, a futon, and a neatly wrapped hakama next to the futon.

Y/n groaned as he fell on his behind as he panted very softly. How many attempts did he make already to get out of this godforsaken place? 15? 20? No, more like 23 times. And yet, you still can't get out because of a demon named Nakime.

Y/n sighed as he hugged his knees to his chest, wrapping his arms around his legs. He buried his face into his arms before looking up a bit. His pure dull eyes, with no more shine, stared a bit blankly at the wall before.

Y/n felt like giving up.

(E/c) eyes wondered the room he was put into since day one. It was a rather high priced room, and the fire on the candles looked pretty, but dying to fire didn't seem amusing to Y/n. Dull eyes wondered over to the futon, Y/n felt it, tried it out, it actually felt very comfortable to him, it was soft.

Y/n only sighed as he buried his face once again. He was being treated like actually royalty by Muzan. He was cared for, treated right, given the best of everything and was even given what he asked for. But if this is what being royalty felt like, Y/n wanted no part in it, since he felt horrible deep down.

However, no demon had approached Y/n yet. Y/n hasn't seen any demons, now has he sensed any around him too, they must all be out feeding on some humans. Hell, Y/n hasn't seen Muzan since the day he kidnapped him.

We're the demon... giving Y/n space to adjust to his new living style? They were being considerate to Y/n emotions for once. This almost made Y/n laugh, almost, he couldn't if he wanted to, not anymore.

Y/n looked up at the ceiling above him, unwrapping his arms from his legs. He put one hand behind him and one hand on his bent knee as the other leg was outstretched, resting. He stared blankly at the ceiling, thinking of useless thoughts.

Y/n turned to the hakama that was waiting for him to put it on. He only sighed, getting up from his position on the floor and walking over to the small table on the wall. He sat on his knees as he picked up the clothing, examining it.

'I guess...' Y/n thought as he unwrapped the hakama, 'I'll just have to wait until someone comes and find me...'

By the end of the day, Y/n had reluctantly put on the hakama Muzan had put out for him. He sat on the futon, covering his face with his arms and knees as he slept, but kept a high alert if anyone were to come into his room.

'I can only wait...

'Someone...

'Please bring me home...'
