☁︎︎ Third POV

Tanjiro, Y/n, and Zenitsu both stood before the large mansion in the woods. It looked semi-run down as all of the windows and doors were closed at the moment.

Y/n narrowed his eyes at the house, he could see and sense multiple different auras inside. Some auras dying instantly, others dying slowly, and some even trying to run away.

"There's that smell of blood in the area," Tanjiro commented, "But this smell is...."

"Eh? There's a smell?" Zenitsu questions.

Y/n already knows of Tanjiro's scent of smell so that's why he didn't question it.

"This is a smell I've never encountered before. Y/n, is there anything you can sense?"

"Sense? What do you mean?"

"I can see people's aura's, depending on the aura color is depending on their danger levels," Y/n explained as he stepped out of line a bit to get a better look at the house in front of him, "I can also tell someone's emotions based on their wave length too."

"Whoa, so you have special sight correct?" Zenitsu asks.

Y/n shook his head, "It's more of a sixth sense, since I can feel, see, and sense the auras."

"Y/n," Tanjiro asked again.

"Right, I see four red auras, a few green and blue auras that are now white, and a yellow aura running around," Y/n stated and turned to Tanjiro, "So, about four demons, a few humans, some already dead, and someone who's most likely a slayer inside."

Tanjiro nodded with a smile as a thanks. Zenitsu stared at Y/n in slight awe. Y/n is a beautiful person, and someone who can protect him, this is a win-win in Zenitsu's book.

"I can't smell or sense anything at all," Zenitsu said as he turned back to the house, "But can you hear a sound coming from over there? Seems like we're going to have to work together in the future as well."

Y/n stared at Zenitsu for a moment, 'A heightened sense of hearing,' he turned to Tanjiro, 'Heightened sense of smell,' he stared at his hand, 'Sixth sense.... I seem to be a bit out of place here.'

"Sound?" Tanjiro's voice questioned as he turned around, him snapping Y/n out of his head and turning too.

Y/n's eyes slightly widened at the sight of two kids hugging each other. They both look terrified out of their skin as the brother held the sister close to him.

"Kids..." Zenitsu muttered.

"What's going on with them?" Tanjiro asked, concern.

"They're scared," Y/n stated as he walked up to the two kids with much caution.

"E-eh? Y/n, what are you doing??" Zenitsu stuttered.

Y/n ignored the blonde and walked up to the kids. He stood a bit away from them as he looked at them with such comfort and warmth, it eased the two a bit.

"What are you two doing here? Alone too? It's unsafe for the both of you," Y/n said softly as he went to one knee and level his height with the two.

The two kids didn't talk, still scared that something will happen, yet they liked the warm aura Y/n was giving off. Y/n noticed this.

"Here," Y/n said as he held up his hand and Chuntaro, Zenitsu's bird, was there, "Tada, a little birdie."

The two kids slowly eased their form as they both stopped shaking. Chuntaro chirped in happiness, knowing that it will ease the kids a bit.

"They're cute, huh?" Y/n asked softly to the blue and purple aura kids.

The girl started to cry as Y/n perked up at this. Chuntaro was starting to panic a bit seeing that both of the children were starting to cry.

The two kids suddenly engulfed Y/n into a hug as they both silently cried on him. Y/n was surprised by the sudden action but patted their heads in a comforting way.

"Hey, it's okay you two," Y/n comforted, "Do you mind telling me what happened? I promise that I will try to help as much as I can with my friends."

Tanjiro and Zenitsu watched the interaction with slightly wide eyes. They already knew of Y/n's comforting aura but seeing two kids get comfortable around him so fast just shocks them.

"The-The house," The boy stuttered out as he pulled away, tears still streaming down his face, "That's the home-home of the monster!"

"Good job," Y/n praised the boy for being courageous for speaking out as he comforted the little girl in his arms, "You can continue if you would like, unless you want to stop."

The boy shook his head, "Our older brother was captured by the-the monster! We were traveling during the night... The monster came, but it ignored the two of us and only took our brother away...!"

"Did the monster enter that house over there?" Y/n askes as Tanjiro and Zenitsu got closer to hear the story too.

The boy sniffed and nodded.

"You are so brave for following the monster all the way here. That's amazing, both of you. I'm sure that your brother is proud, I bet he's still in there waiting for you two to find him," Y/n said as he wiped the tears off of the boy's face.

"We were following our brother's blood trail. He's hurt," The boy stuttered.

Tanjiro perked up at the sound of someone being harmed. Y/n held the girl away from him a bit so that he could clean her face from the tears.

"You two having nothing to worry about anymore," Y/n said, "We and my friends will defeat the monster and rescue your brother, okay?"

"R-really? Do you- Do you really mean it?" The girl asks.

"Of course I do."

"Tanjiro, Y/n," Zenitsu called out as he looked at the house, "What is that sound? Feels really uncomfortable, It keeps on ringing. Is that... a drum?"

Y/n turned to the blonde with a raised brow, the two kids clinging onto his haori, "Sound?"

"I can't hear any..." Tanjiro added.

Y/n's eyes widened as a body was flew out of a window from the house. It was bloody and it fell to the floor with a thud.

"Tanjiro!" Y/n called out as he covered the kids eyes from the gruesome scene.

Tanjiro ran to the body and was talking to see what was happening. Y/n stayed with the kids as he held onto them and they clutched his haori.

"It's alright, just don't look," Y/n said as he hugged the two kids close to him, just like Yoriichi did with him and Tanjiro.

"He... He isn't our brother," The boy said, "Our brother was wearing a yellowish-brown clothing."

Y/n slowly let go of the two kids and turned to see Tanjiro sighing in relief. He stood up from where he was kneeling.

"Zenitsu, Y/n, let's go!!" Tanjiro called out.

"Hai," Y/n responded and was about to walk off but someone pulled his haori slightly.

"Mister, are you going to be okay and bring my Onii-chan back?" The little girl asked.

Y/n nodded determinedly, "I promise. For now, just stay with your brother, okay?"

The girl hesitantly let go of Y/n's haori and walked back to her brother. Y/n's eyes softened and he started to enter the house as Tanjiro placed his box down and went in too.

Y/n walked in front of the Tanjiro and a freaked out Zenitsu. He blocked out their conversation, not really seeing a use to listen to them.

Since he was in front, Y/n opened a door that was at the end of the hallway the trio were walking down. He walked into the room but stopped after hearing Tanjiro's voice.

"You guys can't come in here!!" Tanjiro shouted.

Y/n's eyes widened when he saw the two kids running in, in a panic. He run up to the doorframe with worry in his eyes.

"It-It's because big brother's box is rattling around," The boy claimed as he addressed Tanjiro."

"Even so, you guys can't just leave it there!! That box is something even more important than my life..." Tanjiro stated.

"It's too dangerous for you two to be in here," Y/n stated.

The sound of a drums were suddenly played. The sound surprised everyone and made Zenitsu scream and push Tanjiro and the girl over a bit to a different room.

The sound also surprised Y/n as he stepped back, looking up and around to see where the drumming sound was coming from. He stepped a bit further in the room.

"Tanjiro!! Zenitsu!!" Y/n called out and reached his hand out to them.

The two turned to Y/n but the sound of the drum being played two times changed the rooms. This made Zenitsu and Tanjiro disappear from Y/n's sight.

"Shit..." Y/n hissed as his brows furrowed a bit, "Where am I now?"

Y/n looked around the room he was in. There were multiple different aura colors and wavelengths, and with the consent moving of the rooms, it was hard for him to pinpoint where his friends were.

Y/n unsheathed his katana and held it in front of him, "I hope the others are going to be okay, but then again they aren't really alone," he mumbled as he remember the two kids.

Y/n was holding his breathe for most of the time he had to open every door to try and exit the house. He always clutched his katana and haori for protection and good luck too.

The place was tense and there was demons lurking around too, so Y/n had to be careful on which doors he was opening.

Y/n took a deep breath and put his hand on another door handle. He stepped back a bit and opened the door.

"BAHAHAHAHAHAA HERE I COME FUCKING DEMON BASTARDS!!!" A rough voice yelled out.

The person with the rough voice came running at Y/n. He could now see that this person had no shirt and a board head mask, the person was also the yellow aura Y/n saw earlier.

Y/n quickly turned to his side and let the boar person run past him. He deadpanned when the person kept running down the hall, leaving a dust cloud behind.

'I wonder how people can be so loud sometimes,' Y/n thought with a sigh as he walked into the room.

Suddenly the sound of the same drums played once again. Y/n stood still, letting the room change at it's own will as Y/n had a small tick mark on his head.

'Can't the room stay a room for one moment, please??'

Y/n looked around at the different styled room, looking for a door to open. He soon walked up to a door he thought would be fine. He put his hand on the handle and opened the door.

A hand was rushed to him and almost grabbed his face if Y/n hadn't ducked down in the nick of time. The hand retracted to the owner and Y/n got up and raised his katana at the demon.

"What's this? A little bunny had found me? Such an adorable thing!" A demon cooed as Y/n narrowed his eyes.

The demon had rather large hands and arms, ones that were a bit bigger than it's body itself. It had two horns on it's head, one straight the other curved behind it's head. It's whole jaw seemed to by it's mouth like a slit, while his eyes always showed a pleased or happy expression.

Y/n spun his katana with his wrist, getting a feel for the light blade. He than held it to his face and he readied his stance to fight.

"Well, this 'little bunny' is going to have your head on the floor," Y/n said.

The demon giggled with a purple blush on it's face, "So feisty, bunny, but it's gonna take more than your little figure to kill me."

Y/n narrowed his brows, "Breath of Clouds, Second Form: Swift Cirrus."

A zig-zagged line of clouds went for the demon at such sped it surprised the demon. Blood spilled out of the demon's forearms. They looked down and saw that their arms have been cut off, a line of clouds being left behind.

Y/n appeared a few feet away in front of the demon, a line of clouds slowly disappearing behind him. He had unamused eyes and a raised brow.

The demon looked up shock, he than smirks as his arms grew back. He licked his lips and stared Y/n down with hungry eyes.

"You're a fast one, aren't ya? Fine than, let's play fast," The demon chuckled.

The limb demon extended his arms out to go after Y/n. Y/n jumped over them and let the hands crack the ground below him.

Y/n landed on the demon's forearms and run up them to get closer. As he neared the demon he raised his katana ready to strike.

The demon only smiled and opened his mouth all the way, ready to bite down at Y/n with his large mouth. Y/n noticed this however.

"Seventh Form: Mystic Clouds."

Y/n slashed the demon's mouth, since he was nearing it. The demon coughed as clouds appeared where Y/n slashed him. Y/n run into the clouds and disappeared suddenly.

Clouds surrounded the demon's body as he stumbled to stand up. Y/n upper body poked out of the clouds and slashed the demon's stomach making him cry out in pain.

Y/n disappeared back into the clouds and appeared on the other side of the demon and slashed him again. The demon tried to grab him but missed since Y/n went back into the clouds.

"You little shit!! Come back here and fight me!!" The demon shouted as he started to heal.

The clouds removed themselves off of the demon and made a silhouette of Y/n before he fully solidize and got into a fighting stance once more.

The demon growled and let out a yell when he tried to attack Y/n once again with his outstretched hands. Y/n only jumped over them again and landed on the floor in-between the arms and ran up to the demon.

Y/n raised his katana as clouds started to appear, "Second Form: Swift Cirr—" He was cut off when a hand pulled him back.

Y/n's eyes widened as a hand grabbed itself around his ankle and threw him to the wall. There was so much force in the throw that he fell through the wall, Y/n swore he that he got a broken rib from that.

Y/n hissed in pain as he tried to get up. Unfortunately, a hand, once again, wrapped itself around Y/n's ankle and lifted him up as he dangled upside down, he was still holding onto his katana.

Y/n started to breathe heavily and started to slightly hyperventilate. He looked around trying to find a way out of this situation. He never liked not knowing what to do in a fight.

The demon smirked at the panicked male and he slowly walked up to him. Each step made Y/n more nervous of what the demon will do to him.

"Y/n," Sabito said suddenly as he appeared right in front of Y/n's face.

"Sa-Sabito," Y/n huffed, "What do I do? What do I do now? I don't-I don't know—"

Sabito stopped Y/n's ramble by cupping his face. He looked at him through his mask and Y/n could tell that he was serious at the moment.

"Let me help you, Y/n. I can't let you die in a place like this," Sabito stated.

Y/n gave a small and quick nod, "Yes, I trust you."

Sabito placed his forehead on Y/n's for a second, "This will feel a bit odd, but bare with me okay?"

Sabito faded away and a small mist version of himself placed itself onto Y/n's right cheek. Y/n hissed a bit in pain, he could feel a scar appearing on his cheek.

Y/n closed his eyes shut in slight pain, this made the demon stop and look at Y/n weirdly. The demon got into a fighting stance, while still holding onto Y/n's ankle.

Y/n snapped his eyes opened. The demon flinched back when he saw that Y/n's eyes changed into two different colors.

Y/n now had a scar on his right cheek alone with a right lavender, faded into purple, eye. His other eye stayed the same color (e/c) like before.

Y/n yanked his foot out of the demon's hand and spun in the air than landing on his feet with one hand on the ground to steady his landing. He looked up at the demon with dull, yet angry eyes as he fixed his katana to a certain position.

The demon stepped back and recoiled his hand, "Tch, just because of your new fancy eyes, doesn't mean I'll die from a bunny like you," he spat.

Y/n narrowed his eyes, "We think that you're forgetting that there's a fox here too," he said, a distant sounding voice talking along with him.

"What the... What the fuck do you mean 'we'?"

Y/n didn't answer as he started to run up to the demon. The demon's eyes widened at the enhanced speed of the small male.

"You bitch," The demon cursed as he launched his hands at Y/n once again.

But instead of jumping over them like Y/n did earlier, he ducked under them. Y/n bent his body more flexible than earlier as he woven himself around the arms to get closer to the demon.

The demon's eyes widened, 'This kid! What ever he did increased his speed and agility! Since when could he do that?!'

Y/n was suddenly in front, face to face of the demon before him. He had jumped up and was now looming over the demon with a raised katana.

"Fifth Form: Raging Storm Clouds."

A sudden sound of a bang and lighting came from Y/n's katana. Dark grey, almost black, clouds and white electricity appeared at the blade of the katana.

The demon's eyes widened, he didn't have time to react when the blade of the younger human went right down in the middle of him. The blade cut the demon in half, and clean.

'What?! I didn't even see him?!! The blade felt less powerful but the momentum of it was so fast it cut me!! It cut me!!' The demon screamed in it's head as the body fell to the floor, 'This kid!! THIS STUPID KID!! HE CUT ME!! IN HALF!!'

Y/n landed on the ground. He started to stumble a bit before returning to his neutral stance. He turned to the demon that was slowly withering away. The demon could see that his eye and cheek were back to normal.

'Just who is he?!?!'

The demon get any last words as Y/n stomped on the demon's head, making them turn into ash. Y/n continued to stomp on the demon's whole body making it all disappear.

Y/n sighed as he slightly hissed and held onto the side of his rib. He knew now for sure that they were broken, but he lost count of how many were.

"That was... new," Y/n muttered.

"Yeah," Sabito faded into visibility, "I think it would be helpful in some times, maybe in the near future too."

Y/n nodded, "It does seem helpful, I wonder how Yoriichi-San would be like if he did that to me."

Sabito shrugged and moved his mask to the side of his head, "But are you okay? I know you took the pain since it was your body."

"I'm fine, just a few things broken, but nothing that time won't heal."

"Still... I worry for you, me and Yoriichi do."

Y/n shook his head. He placed a kiss on Sabito's cheek.

"Thank you for your help Sabito, it means a lot to me," Y/n said.

Sabito blinked before looking away with a blushing face, "Yeah, sure..."

Y/n slightly tilted his head to the side but shook it off, "You might want to go back, I promise to call you or Yoriichi-San when I need help."

Sabito looked at Y/n in slight worry, "Are you sure? I mean, I could be a look out for you?"

Y/n patted Sabito's head, "I'll be fine, I'll call one of you, I promise."

Sabito huffed a bit with a small blush on his cheeks. He gave a small smiled and kissed Y/n's nose.

"Just stay safe," Sabito said as he faded away.

Y/n blinked from the sudden kiss, he than shook his head, thinking nothing of it. He was about to walk out of the room he was in until the banging of drums appeared again.

The room changed two times, ending it in a hallway. Y/n looked around at the new room he was in, than there was a third bang, causing the hallway to turn upright.

Y/n's eyes widened as he started to fall. He sheathed his katana for safe keeping as he spun in the air. He saw that he was heading straight for a window.

Y/n shielded himself as he bursted through the window. He landed onto the ground with a thud as ringing took over his ears.

Y/n was about to pass out but he saw a yellow and blue aura also fly out of the house. He closed his eyes after that, leading him into a peaceful sleep that he needed at the moment.
