Chris' POV

I dropped my bag exhaustedly onto the hotel room floor. I had hardly gotten any sleep the last day apart from a few hours on the plane and we all had a pretty bad jet lag. Jonny seemed to be just as tired as me and let himself drop onto one of the large beds. As I had only booked for me and my children we only had two double rooms so Jonny and me had to sleep in the same room but they were large anyway. But even though I was used to it it would be a lie to say it didn't excite me at least a little.

While traveling we of course didn't have any time to discuss or deepen our newborn relationship and right now neither of us was able to do anything but sleep. But there still seemed to be this undeniable energy between the two of us and it sent shivers through my body everytime I touched Jonny's skin or looked into his eyes. During our long flights Jonny's hand had shyly and inconspicuously found its way onto mine and it had felt so good to have a constant reminder that all this hadn't just been a dream.

After quickly getting ready for bed the four of us were all asleep within minutes.

The next morning I was awakened by the feeling of something heavy on my stomach. At first I was confused about what was happening and where I was but I quickly realized it was Moses trying to wake me from my well-deserved sleep.
The advantage of being in a touring band is that you're used to waking up in hotel rooms, disoriented and not sure if the last night had been a dream or reality.

But this time the events of the previous day felt a lot more unreal than they usually did. I lifted my head and seeing Jonny - still asleep - a few meters away from me brought it all back into my memory.
Moses walked over to Jonny to make him get up as well. The kids luckily didn't have any awkward questions on why Jonny was suddenly coming with us. For them it was totally normal to be around him and he was almost like an uncle to them.

The rest of the day turned out to not be any less stressful. After making our way through countless sights and crowds of tourists we finally decided to seek a little more peaceful place.
We found our way to a nearby nature park and decided to take a rest there. Part of me must have forgotten that having two children around took your full attention when I had hoped to have a chance for a little private moment with Jonny. I was burning to be able to talk everything out with him and feel his body close to mine. Jonny's almost pleading look told me he didn't feel any different.
After all this time of waiting we had finally confessed each other our true feelings and we were dying to find out what it actually meant for our relationship. It had been obvious that this wouldn't be a romantic holiday but I had hoped for a little more action between the two of us.

Apple's squeaking at some cute animal got me back to reality and decided to focus my attention on my children instead. They had missed me just as much as I had and actually I was really happy to finally be spending time with them. I was sure Jonny and me would eventually get our chance to have some time for just the two of us. Until then the kids took all our attention anyway.

After Apple and Moses had finally fallen asleep at night I quietly closed their door and walked back into my room where Jonny was already waiting for me. It felt awkward after the whole day of being kind of distracted and never alone. There seemed to be so many unsaid words. We both wanted to talk about our relationship and were craving something more but no one really dared to make the first move. To add to that it didn't really feel appropriate right next to our children only parted by one door. In case they would wake up or were not yet asleep they could probably hear every word we were saying so we only dared to speak in a low voice. After an hour of talking about all kind of stuff that was going on in the world but not our relationship I suddenly had an idea.

I got off the bed and slipped into my shoes. "Come on Jonny."

"What are you doing?"

"You'll see, just trust me and come with me."

We walked out into the hotel hall. It was a rather empty, old and not too luxurious hotel, but I knew from experience it was a great place to have some privacy and be away from all the buzz. I led Jonny into the back of the corridor where some meeting and party rooms were located. I looked into two of them until I found what I was searching for.

"You sure we're even allowed to be here?"

"Don't worry.", I said with a smirk, pretty sure that we weren't.

Jonny and me stepped into the rather small event room. It had a tiny stage with some plastic curtains and an old piano, chairs were put up around it.

"Come with me.", I smiled and offered Jonny the place next to me on the stool of the piano.

Jonny giggled adorably and we started messing around, singing old songs and playing some random chords. After some time I closed my eyes and started playing a melody I had in my head. It felt rather upbeat compared to what I had been writing before. I was so focused I didn't realise Jonny had stopped in his tracks and looked at me.

"This is really beautiful. Does it have lyrics?"

"Not yet."

I closed my eyes and started singing in an almost whispering tone.

"Wow. This is incredible. I always forget how talented you really are."

"Nah, that's not true. You're a lot better."

We were both looking into each other's eyes and that exciting and awkward tingling energy was back.
It suddenly seemed to be such a romantic mood around, almost like in some stupid movie.

"You know you have really beautiful green eyes?"

Jonny didn't need to speak any reply out loud, it all just happened naturally and there was no doubt for a second. We slowly moved our faces closer and gently let our lips touch.
Jonny's lips were a tiny bit rough, but just in a way that made it feel incredibly amazing when they slowly moved over mine.

I could feel his warm breath in my mouth and after a few seconds our shy kiss turned into a more intense one, the tips of our tongues gently playing with each other. He tasted and felt so good, it sent shivers all the way through my body and the hair on my body felt like it was standing on end. I slowly and gently moved my hand over Jonny's upper back while our kiss was becoming more and more passionate.

It was my first time kissing another guy but I don't think I've ever got kissed by anyone like this. None of the girls I had kissed so far had ever made me feel this way. It was hard to describe but something about this kiss felt so much more intense and right, like it was always meant to be.

After what felt like an eternity our kiss ended because we were both really out of breath. I moved my face a few centimetres away from Jonny's and looked deep into his eyes. He did the same but it didn't feel awkward in any way like it would with most other people.

"Your eyes are at least as gorgeous Chris.", Jonny whispered and we both laughed quietly. There were no words needed, that kiss had said everything that had ever been needed to say.
