Yeonjun awoke to the sound of his phone buzzing non-stop, flooded with what seemed to be an insane amount of messages.

He slowly sat up from the couch where he'd fallen asleep, hazily trying to remember why exactly he was there.

Right.
Last night, he'd woken up for seemingly no reason at all, with the strangest urge to go to the living room. Of course, when he got there, he'd found Kai and...

"Soobin?" Yeonjun called out loud, not seeing the boy anywhere in the area. He knew he'd fallen asleep on the couch with him, so he couldn't be too far.

"He's in the bathroom," came the voice of a girl, making Yeonjun glance towards the kitchen.

Yeji stood there, stirring sugar and milk into a mug of hot coffee that she was holding.

The boy nodded at this, and instead turned his attention down to his smartphone, wondering what the hell all of the commotion could be about.

Yeonjun squinted as he read through all of the words on his screen. Why was everyone in the world trying to reach him right now?

He nervously clicked on Beomgyu's contact, pressing the call button with more than a little apprehension.

The phone rang for a moment, and Yeonjun put it on speaker, a little too tired to be thinking correctly on whether he should have done that or not.

A click resounded. Beomgyu had picked up the call.

"Yeah?" Yeonjun asked sleepily, "What do you want?"

"You absolute donkey," Beomgyu's annoyed voice came back through the speakers. "Why didn't you tell us your teeth came in?"

Yeonjun's brain lagged at this for a second.
"What?"

"Your fangs, babe! I'm actually really happy for you, I thought it'd never happen!" Beomgyu congratulated him.

"Who..." Yeonjun furrowed his eyebrows. "Who told you that—"

"Kai did. Have you set up an appointment with a dentist yet? You might want to see if everything came in right, considering you're supposed to get those when you're like... twelve," Beomgyu advised him cheerfully, unable to see the way Yeonjun cringed at the advice.

"No, no..." Yeonjun responded. "Thanks Gyu, but I think I'm fine..."

"You sure? I know a great dentist that a lot of demons go to for that,"
the boy continued.

"No," Yeonjun insisted. "I'm good. I don't need—"

"Anyway," Beomgyu cut him off once again.
"Since you seem to be hitting demon puberty right now, I cannot wait to make fun of you over it."

"Beomgyu!" Yeonjun whined at his friend. "Shut the fuck up, I hate you."

Beomgyu could be heard laughing his ass off through the speaker.
"Consider it as a blessing! I know how you feel about... everything, but it honestly it might be healthier for you this way."

"For the love of god, shut up. I will eat all of your bones," Yeonjun threatened the boy, only sending him further into laughter.

"You'll WHAT?" Beomgyu cackled. "God, I feel bad for Soobin... out of all the demons that could like him, he gets one who eats bones—"

"I'm hanging up," Yeonjun announced in retaliation, hearing Beomgyu loudly protest from the other side.

"No! No, wait, don't hang up! I'll convince Bin that your dick is smal—"

"You haven't even seen it!" Yeonjun cut him off before pressing the 'hang up' button, engulfing the room in silence.

He sat for a moment, sighing and running a hand through his messy hair. Distracted by the call, he was too busy shoving his phone back in his pocket with annoyance to even notice the stare from someone nearby.

"You're a fucking what?"
Yeji's voice rang out across the room, clear as day.

Yeonjun whipped around at the sound, staring at her with a startled look that showed he had completely forgotten the girl was there.

"Huh?" the boy spoke.

"You're a demon? For real?"
Yeji narrowed her eyes at him in suspicion, setting her mug of coffee down on the countertop.

"No," Yeonjun clarified a little too quickly. "I'm not. I think you misunderstood somethi—"

"Show me your teeth," Yeji ordered, striding over towards the older boy.

Yeonjun only stared at her.
"Why?"

"You said you're not one. Prove it then," she spoke as she stood herself directly in front of the couch where Yeonjun sat, looking down at him.

"What are you, demonophobic? Does it even matter?"
Yeonjun abruptly tried to throw her off of her train of thought.

She gave him a quizzical look.

"I don't give a rat's ass whether or not you're a demon. But I know that Soobin is really enthusiastic about 'em. Is that why he's so clingy to you?"

"Soobin doesn't even know,"
Yeonjun lowered his voice, his tone argumentative.

Yeji gazed down at him for a moment.
"You're hiding it from him?"

"Not exactly," Yeonjun huffed.
"I simply have not found the time to tell him."

"Which means you're hiding it from him."

"God, no, I—" Yeonjun took a breath, exasperated, "I just didn't want it to affect our relationship, okay?"

"Why would it..."

"Wait," Yeonjun interrupted, holding a hand up to signal the girl to stop speaking.
"Be quiet, I think he's coming."

The pair sat in awkward silence for a moment, each second ticking by increasing the tension.

"I don't think he—"

At that moment footsteps approached the entryway, followed by the door to the room being swung open. Soobin padded into the room happily, messing with his smartphone.

"How do you always do that...?" Yeji murmured, mouth slightly agape in awe.

"I don't fucking know," Yeonjun whispered back honestly, waiting for Soobin to eventually look up from the screen and notice his two friends together in the living room.

"Oh!" Soobin said when he did, a little smile on his face.
"Both of you are awake?"

God damn, Yeonjun wanted to kiss both of his cute little dimples so bad.

"Yeah," Yeji smiled back at him, her demeanor changed entirely.
"He just woke up, we were chatting," she lied effortlessly.

Soobin seemed rather pleased at this, and waltzed over to the couch, taking a seat next to Yeonjun.

"Do you guys think the roads are still closed?" Soobin made idle conversation. "I haven't seen anything on the news..."

"Binnie," Yeonjun said the other boy's name seriously, grabbing his attention.

"Yeah...?"

"Who made you so fucking adorable?"

"Hah?" Soobin held a confused yet sheepish smile on his face at the comment.
"I only asked about the roads...?"

"Okay!" Yeji clapped her hands together immediately. "I'm gonna be watching a movie in Yeonjun's room, text if you need me!" she announced with an expression that suggested she was desperate to remove herself from the situation.

Yeonjun gave her a halfhearted thumbs up as she hurried out of the area, heading down the hallway for her destination.

Soobin watched her leave, before turning his attention back to Yeonjun.
"You're awfully nice today," he spoke with a hint of a smile.

"When am I not nice to you?" Yeonjun rolled his eyes, grinning as he saw Soobin slightly laugh at the comment.

"What were you and Yeji talking about?" Soobin asked, resting a hand on Yeonjun's knee absentmindedly.

Yeonjun hesitated for a second, before shaking his head.
"Not much, I just woke up a few minutes ago and she said good morning and stuff," he answered.

Soobin nodded at this, his gaze cast down to the floor as he seemingly thought about something.

"So... the hell is up with your friend, Kai?" he asked quietly.

"A lot, honestly," Yeonjun answered, half jokingly.
"But yeah, sorry. I'll have to talk to him... get him to stop... doing that shit," he mumbled as if embarrassed by it.

"No, you don't have to... it's not your fault," Soobin tried to reassure him. "Besides, I think he got the message last night..."

Both boys stared at each other awkwardly as the memory resurfaced.

"Anyway, I might be meeting up with Beomgyu soon. Not that I want to, but I just feel like he'll come over here," Yeonjun changed the topic.

"What is it with all of your friends just showing up at your house?" Soobin commented, the smile on his face hiding his slight saltiness at the idea.

If they'd already kicked Yeji out, and Soobin and Yeonjun were alone...
Soobin felt like he might actually throw hands if Beomgyu randomly intruded.

Yeonjun stared at the younger boy for a moment.
"Did I say something? Why are you mad...?" he mumbled.

Soobin only blinked.
"Huh? I'm not mad, what would I be mad at?"

"That was a lie, you definitely are," Yeonjun insisted, bearing a concerned expression.

"I... no, what?" Soobin stuttered out, feeling a bit exposed as Yeonjun somehow read him like an open book.
How the hell did he know? Soobin was pretty sure that he'd hid his immature thoughts well.

"Never mind," Yeonjun dismissed the idea immediately. "I'm still tired, don't worry about it."

The boy lightly kicked one of Soobin's feet with his own.
"You want me to make us some pancakes or something?" he asked.

Soobin nodded, still distracted by the other boy's near-psychic knowledge of his emotions.

"Mm, alright. I can get the stuff ready," Yeonjun spoke as he reached up, lightly ruffling Soobin's hair.

He leaned towards the other boy—startling Soobin half to death— and placed a little kiss on his lower cheek, right at the corner of Soobin's mouth.

"Though I'd love it if you would come help," Yeonjun murmured before pulling away.
He then stood up from the couch, leaving Soobin sitting in a stunned silence as he padded over to the kitchen.

Suddenly, Soobin wished Beomgyu would show up out of nowhere.

He wasn't sure how long he could handle Yeonjun on his own.
