"Attention, students. We will now be entering an indefinite lockdown. No one is to leave the building until further notice."
The prinicpal's loud voice announced that message through the intercom at 3:30pm on the dot, prompting groans and complaints from numerous students.
Soobin laid his head down on his desk, watching as another student in the room immediately whipped out his laptop and began playing some sort of FPS game.
Without missing a beat, the principal added:
"Students are permitted to leave their classrooms, but must stay in the school building."
Soobin instantly stood up, to say the least. There was no way in hell he was going to waste his time sitting alone in the classroom.
He, along with numerous other students, crowded out into the hallway. Countless people were openly discussing what could've prompted the situation... and although Soobin was curious, it wasn't the most concerning situation to him.
His phone buzzed in his hand, and Soobin switched it on, smiling to himself as he read the text notification.

Thankfully that wasn't too far of a walk, so Soobin shoved his smartphone in his pocket and started heading in that direction.
"Oh! Soobin!" a female voice called him, with the tall boy turning around and seeing a shorter girl jog up to him.
"Hey, hey!" she greeted him. "You're still down for film club right?"
Soobin stared at her for a moment, before recognizing her as one of Yeji's friends.
"Yeah!" he agreed, although reluctant. "Lia... right?"
"Yep!" she gave him a thumbs up. "We'll be camping out in our room and watching some shit so feel free to stop by!" she suggested, giving him a light pat on the shoulder before hurrying back from wherever she'd come from.
Soobin cringed at himself for agreeing so easily. He'd really only joined because Yeonjun would be there... but something told him that he could probably steal Jun from the club if he wanted to.
Regardless, eventually he approached the designated area, seeing the vending machines near the door of the science lab.
"Ah, Jun!" Soobin waved his arms from a distance, seeing a light haired boy sitting on the floor using his phone.
The boy looked up, holding back a smile as he saw the younger approach.
"Bin," Yeonjun lazily stood up and stretched, pointing at the vending machine.
"What do you want? I'll buy you something."
"You don't have to," Soobin insisted, but shut up as Yeonjun lightly shushed him. He walked over, wrapping an arm around Soobin's waist, and guided him over to the machine, making him choose something.
"I guess... that?" Soobin decided, pointing out a bottle of chilled tea.
"And?" Yeonjun asked, looking at the other boy as if waiting for him to list more.
"Um, that too then," Soobin tapped on the glass in front of a bar of chocolate candy, glancing at Yeonjun with a look of wanting approval.
"'Mhm," Yeonjun nodded, slipping some coins into the vending machine and punching a couple of numbers.
"Anything else?" he asked as the machine rolled the items forward, dropping them down to be retrieved.
"No, no, it's okay, you've bought me enough," Soobin insisted, watching as Yeonjun bent down to grab the items from the dispenser.
"I'll eat half of this just because you said that," Yeonjun teased, handing the drink and snack over to Soobin.
"I—" Soobin practically jumped as Yeonjun gave him a playful squeeze on the ass, followed by gesturing for the younger to follow him down the hallway.
"Yeonjun!" he blurted out, ignoring the elder's cackling as he hurried down the hall to catch up with him.
After a moment Soobin did reach him, and grabbed his hand as to match their paces.
"Stop walking so fast," Soobin chided.
"You speed up," Yeonjun insisted, tightly lacing his fingers in between Soobin's.
He bumped the other with his shoulder just to be annoying.
"Hey," Soobin bumped him back with a little more strength as revenge.
The pair held each other's gaze, holding an unspoken challenge within it.
As if a cheetah pouncing on its prey, Yeonjun immediately grabbed Soobin by the wrists, the boy struggling to break free from his grasp.
Yet Soobin grinned as he wrenched his hands free, grabbing onto Yeonjun's shoulders and spinning him around.
Yeonjun nearly fell as Soobin jumped onto his back, before he even knew what was happening.
"Fuck—" Yeonjun swore, adjusting to the sudden weight on his back. He tried to pry Soobin's legs off from around his waist to no avail.
"I'll get you for this," Yeonjun warned, Soobin quietly mocking him for being unable to take him down.
Yeonjun only shook his head, knowing he could totally overpower the other if he had to. He was simply letting him win.
"Mmm, by the way," Soobin mumbled, resting his cheek against Yeonjun's hair, "I've been told I should go to the film club for a movie right now. Do you think it's a good idea?"
Yeonjun contemplated this while hoisting Soobin's legs up to support him.
"I dunno... will Yeji be there?" he inquired.
"Most likely, why?" Soobin asked, closing his eyes and merely letting the other carry him to wherever.
Yeonjun hesitated, knowing he didn't really want to go if that was the case.
And yet... an idea popped into his head.
"Okay," he decided. "Sounds fun, let's go," he said, stopping in his tracks and turning around.
"Hm, alright," Soobin said, not debating the other's decision.
After a short walk, Yeonjun strolled up to the room where he'd remembered film club being. He glanced to the side, seeing the piggybacking boy's head rested on his shoulder, eyes still closed.
"Bin," the elder muttered, bumping his nose against Soobin's. "We're here."
Soobin only made a sort of lazy humming noise at this, and thus Yeonjun sighed, walking the rest of the way to the door and swinging it open.
The sight of numerous girls inside greeted him, most spreading out blankets and pillows in the dim room or opening up snack bags.
Yeonjun internally cringed at the sight of new people. How did they manage to get even more members than last time?
"Ahh, Yeonjun!" Yuna waved at him from the back of the room where she was messing around with the settings on a projector.
"Hey," he greeted in response, thankfully quite familiar with the blonde.
At the sound of his voice, a girl with her hair in two black buns whipped around to look at him.
He made eye contact with Yeji, and yet she said nothing... until, at least, she spotted the boy clinging onto Yeonjun's back.
Yeji sat down her things and padded over, waiting as Yeonjun shut the door behind him and fully entered the room.
"He dead or something?" she said, poking the top of Soobin's head.
"No, don't worry, I haven't managed to kill him just yet," Yeonjun said jokingly as he walked past the girl and into the room, heading towards a bean bag chair in the back.
After quite a bit of struggle, Yeonjun managed to pry Soobin off of his back and let him down on the bean bag chair, although the younger immediately started whining.
Soobin opened his eyes reluctantly, grabbing at Yeonjun's wrists to stop him from walking away, and Yeonjun only rolled his eyes as if he didn't enjoy the attention.
"So needy," he murmured, letting Soobin drag him back down to the ground with him.
"We're gonna be watching Pulp Fiction, guys!" Ryujin announced from the front of the room as everyone else got settled.
Yeonjun made himself comfortable in the bean bag chair, cuddled up next to the black haired boy.
"Have you seen this before?" Yeonjun quietly asked the other, who was laying his head back against Yeonjun's shoulder.
"Yeah," Soobin answered, unknowingly making the elder tense up at the feeling of his breath against Yeonjun's neck.
"Oh... hah, um, did you like it?" Yeonjun asked to distract himself, hating the way he suddenly felt fidgety.
"Mhm," Soobin said, unwrapping the chocolate bar he'd bought and taking a little bite out of it. "I liked it."
"Wait, this is so good?" Soobin commented as he chewed on the candy, not having had this brand before.
He held it up in front of Yeonjun's face. "Try it," he encouraged innocently.
Yeonjun stared at the end bitten off by Soobin for a second, hating how his brain was making such a big deal out of this.
"Sure," he agreed, taking the bar. He took a bite out of the same end, too busy internally celebrating to bother thinking about how good the candy was.
The movie started playing, and Yeji shushed everyone in the room, encouraging them to be quiet for those watching.
Soobin silently popped open his tea bottle and took a sip of it, setting it on the floor next to him.
The film played on as people made comments here and there.
Yeonjun was more busy crossing one of his legs over Soobin's and trying to hold the poor boy's hands while the younger tried to eat.
"Jun," Soobin whispered, "Do you want the rest or something?"
No, he didn't really. But as Soobin held up the bar to him, it presented an opportunity too tempting to pass up.
Yeonjun leaned forward, not grabbing it with his hands but rather with his teeth, eating it out of Soobin's hand before the younger could do anything.
Soobin just stared at him, with an expression that suggested he should be surprised but definitely wasn't.
The sound of the intercom buzzing for what felt like the hundredth time went off, causing Yuna to hurriedly reach for their projector and pause the movie.
"Students, we are sorry to announce that this lockdown may continue for another two hours," the principal announced, a chorus of shocked cries erupting from the room.
"When it is deemed as safe to leave, you will be permitted to do so."
As soon as the sound clicked off, multiple arguments seemed to rise up.
"The fuck?" one of the girls said. "Why won't they tell us a reason?"
Soobin didn't seem to move at this, surprisingly calm at that strange announcement.
"What do you think it is?" he asked Yeonjun, who shook his head in reply.
"Don't know. I can probably google it and find out," he said, starting to pull out his phone.
"Nahh, no need," Soobin said, swatting his hand away from his pocket. "They never report anything serious like that on the news this fast."
"Aren't you worried?" the elder asked, bringing a hand up and scrunching the other's hair.
Soobin turned and looked at him for a moment.
"Worst case scenario, I die happy at least," he said with brutal honesty, nearly killing Yeonjun on the spot.
"Hah... yeah, same," Yeonjun agreed, although the implications of that had him biting back a smile.
He set his hand down next to the younger boy's quietly... and ever so slightly, he linked his pinky finger with Soobin's, a tiny gesture of affection.
Soobin looked at this, then glanced up at the elder with a small smile.
The light of the movie screen reflected in Soobin's eyes like stars, and to Yeonjun it only made him that much prettier. Totally forgetting the risk, he grinned back at him, unable to suppress the joy he felt just being like this with him.
Soobin's gaze seemed to falter for a second as it landed on Yeonjun's smile, but he seemed to then instantly shift his expression back to normal.
"What?" Yeonjun asked, having caught the subtle expression change on the other's face.
"No, nothing!" Soobin reassured him, glancing briefly between Yeonjun's mouth as he spoke and then his eyes.
Before Yeonjun could say anything else, Soobin left a small kiss against his shoulder, then leaned against it.
"I might take a nap," he said, closing all routes of conversation.
"Okay..." Yeonjun agreed, although slightly put off by the tiny switch in behavior. "Sleep well?"
Soobin only hummed in response, as Yeonjun brushed his hair out of his face.
