"You sure you don't want me to get you one?"
came the voice of Yeonjun, who took a sip of his drink as he glanced at the other.

The pair found themselves casually strolling along the sidewalk, passing shops as they chatted about this and that. Yeonjun had caught Soobin staring at his cup of boba tea more than a few times, and simply had to ask.

"No, I'm okay," Soobin insisted, though he was really lying. He definitely had been eyeing Yeonjun's drink in jealousy, wishing he'd bought one himself.

Yeonjun suppressed a grin as he held out his drink in front of Soobin. "Take it," he insisted.

"Oh, no, I'd feel bad..." Soobin tried to argue, but found his gaze lingering on the treasure presented before him. Yeonjun only gave him a look of anticipation.

Soobin sighed, taking the drink from the elder and taking a sip. Yeonjun smiled at this, satisfied, as they continued strolling.

Yeonjun got out his phone, googling something as Soobin took the time to window shop, glancing at all the products displayed in the shops they passed.

"You wanna come thrifting with me?" Yeonjun spoke, grabbing Soobin's attention away from the stores.

"Thrifting...?" Soobin questioned as Yeonjun gave him a look of disbelief.

"Soobin, you have to know what thrifting is," Yeonjun insisted before Soobin could find a chance to explain himself.

"No! No, of course I know what it is, I've just never done it before," he hurriedly explained.

"Today's your lucky day then," Yeonjun announced, shoving his phone in his pocket and featuring for the confused Soobin to follow him.

Within ten minutes they came to a small shop, tucked away in a street corner. Yeonjun swung the door open, gesturing for Soobin to enter first.

He was immediately greeted with the pleasant scent of a burning candle and the sound of older music playing softly in the background.
A bowl of mints sat on a table near the entrance, from which Yeonjun quickly grabbed one and popped it into his mouth.

"Oh, Bin—" Yeonjun gently hit the boy's shoulder to grab his attention.

"Huh?" Soobin spoke as he watched Yeonjun walk over to a small box of items to dig through it. Soobin followed behind him, peeking over his shoulder into the box.

A pile of cheap makeup items and costume jewelry laid in the box, and Yeonjun stopped upon pulling out a small shimmery container.

"Body glitter...?" he read off, gaining an absolutely evil smile. "Fuck yeah, why not?" he laughed, checking the price on the item.

Soobin shook his head in amusement. "When would you ever use that?" he questioned.

"I never said it would end up on me," Yeonjun only shrugged, not so subtly looking Soobin up and down.

Soobin chose to ignore the blatant threat he'd just received. Instead, his mind focused on an article of clothing that caught his eye from across the store.

"Um, I'm gonna go look at the stuff over there," Soobin said somewhat shyly to Yeonjun, gesturing to the area in question.

Yeonjun nodded, giving him a thumbs up as if granting him permission to go. Soobin scurried off as the elder boy began to look at the items on a nearby shelf.

Soobin felt as if he would drown in the endless shelves of clothing.

He'd picked out a few simple, yet cute items for himself, and was currently in the dressing room, trying on a bunch of mismatched outfits just for the hell of it.

A small knock came at the door.
"Soobin?" Yeonjun's voice came through, making the boy freeze.

"Yeah?"

"Are you changing?" Yeonjun asked. Soobin looked down at himself to double check that he was presentable, despite knowing he was fully clothed in a pair of thrifted skinny jeans and a Hawaiian shirt.

"No...? Why?"

"Can you help me with something?" Yeonjun now asked, sounding a bit embarrassed. Soobin, slightly concerned, unlocked the door and opened it.

Yeonjun immediately slipped through the door, quickly shutting it behind him.

"I'm literally stuck in this shirt," Yeonjun whispered, the distress on his face almost giving Soobin a laugh attack.

Yeonjun had made the mistake of trying on a rather tight turtleneck with a zipper at the back, one which had decided to immediately become stuck at the top. It definitely wasn't the boy's proudest moment.

"Turn around, it can't be that bad," Soobin said, with Yeonjun complying and facing away from him.

It was that bad.
Upon tugging the zipper Soobin knew he was dealing with a force stronger than himself.

"Can't you just take it off from the bottom?" Soobin suggested as he continued trying to free the zipper.

"I tried," Yeonjun shook his head. "It's not coming off that way unless I rip it."

"Wait a sec," Soobin spoke, fishing around in the pockets of his jeans. He pulled out a bobby pin, and began trying to dislodge the zipper with it.

"If this works I'll buy you boba for the rest of your life, Bin please," Yeonjun whined, just as a small click sounded and the zipper came free.

Soobin pulled the zipper down, just partially exposing the elder's bare back before a wave of shyness hit him.

"Oh thank god," Yeonjun said, unzipping the back himself the rest of the way.

"Do you mind if I...?" Yeonjun made eye contact with Soobin, who immediately shook his head 'no.'

Yeonjun pulled off his shirt the rest of the way, tossing it to the side before walking over to look at the clothes hung up in the dressing room stall.

Soobin wanted to slap himself when he realized he was staring, although the other thankfully didn't notice.

"My sweatshirt is in the other stall, can I borrow this?" Yeonjun asked as he found Soobin's own hoodie, which he'd worn prior to trying on the clothes.

"Yeah...? But like, that's mine..." Soobin said, although something within him told him to just shut up and let it happen.

Yeonjun slipped the hoodie over his head, sticking his hands in the front pocket.
"You can have mine, I'll bring it when you're done trying on stuff," he said all too casually.

Soobin found himself nodding in agreement, and thus Yeonjun gave him a mock salute before quietly unlocking the stall door and slipping out.

Soobin stood still for a moment, staring at the wall as a strange pleasant feeling took hold inside of him, a joy at something he wasn't even aware of.

Soobin only sighed, taking off the thrifted clothes and changing back into his own jeans.

"Give me the hoodie," Soobin said, hoping Yeonjun would hear him through the door. Soobin put the clothes back on their hangers as he waited.

Within a short moment a dark sweatshirt was hung over the door, and Soobin lightly smiled as he reached up to grab it, adjusting it as it was inside out.

Soobin absentmindedly slipped the sweatshirt onto his body, his mind occupied with thoughts of which items he would buy.

Yet, as the garment now embraced him, he found himself suddenly overwhelmed with the sweet scent of flowers, as if he had just stepped into a rose garden.

Pushing past the strange, dazed feeling it put upon him, Soobin glanced down, wondering where the hell it was coming from.

Hesitantly, Soobin chose the obvious culprit. He carefully brought the fabric of the sweatshirt up to his face and inhaled...

Instantly the lovely scent greeted him again, with a sense of relaxation washing over him alongside it.

Soobin quickly pulled the fabric back down, startled.
He felt his heartbeat speeding back up, and a million thoughts popped into his mind questioning what exactly had happened to him.

He knew, logically, that there was really only two possible answers. One, being that some excellent laundry detergent was involved. Two, being that Yeonjun himself smelled scarily good.

Soobin really wished he didn't possess a brain at this moment. He knew these thoughts would probably haunt him all night.

He unlocked the dressing room door and timidly walked out, the hangers of his clothing items in hand. He made his way over to the cashier, wanting to hurry up and get the purchase over with.

As the cashier bagged the items, Soobin nearly flinched out of shock when Yeonjun appeared behind him out of nowhere, asking if he needed to borrow any money.

Soobin immediately declined, suddenly trying extra hard to focus on anything besides the elder boy's presence. He simply grabbed his purchase and turned around, striding over to the store's exit with Yeonjun close behind.

"I know a hella good frozen yogurt place a couple minutes from here, wanna try it?" Yeonjun suggested as they both stepped out of the shop onto the warm sidewalk

Soobin automatically agreed before he could think about the offer. The other boy's excited look kept him from going back on it, and Soobin knew that he would have to survive the rest of the day with him.

As Yeonjun, smiling, gestured for Soobin to follow him, Soobin's clouded thoughts returned once more, making the younger all too curious.

He ignored the feeling.

Thrifting was more important, and all other feelings could wait until the next store.
