~*The Sacrifice*~
"Welcome to my humble abode," Persephone said smiling calmly as if she didn't just shatter ground and made them fall in the hell.
"Why are we here?" Pandora asked and everyone looked at her changed softer tone of voice.
"You, you destroyed everything," Persephone said and grabbed Delia's neck.
Before Devian or Pandora could move, an iron cage dropped on them with Furies holding it together.
"I thought we all will be happy, I thought you will sacrifice yourself and then Pandora brings the dawn of evil on earth. While she would have been the feared leader, my King would have been the brains." Persephone shared her plans with them.
So, this was Hades desire to put a spell of darkness of the world so he can rule everything.
And Pandora was just a vessel to carry eons of darkness within her.
"But you," She clutched her neck harder, the ring on her finger cutting through the skin," You had to be pretentiously kind and good."
Delia wad growing shot of breath and her eyes started getting redder.
"Now what. Now everyone has to die and I will unleash all the darkness nevertheless. And it will be all insane Pandora' fault." She said with a gleaming evil smile.
In her moment of imagination, she didn't notice as Devian broke through the cage and knocked out a Fury without much struggle.
"If you don't want to be thrown in the depths of Tartarus for few thousand years Persephonem let her go," Devian said in a threatening tone.
Persephone let go of her neck completely in shock.
"How?"
"I just came back after battling a powerful demon, do you really expect someone like this could bother me." Devian took a slow step closer and had the satisfaction of seeing her pale in fear.
"You are just a Light Guardian, you can't harm me, I am a goddess." She sounded unsure even to herself as she staggered back and Delia gasped trying to breathe.
"Want to try?" Devian challenged feeling angry at the goddess who planned all this.
She put Delia through ages of pain and then did the same to him. It didn't matter to her how she fulfilled her husband's command.
"let's see then." She said and from the ground, vines started erupting and wrapped around Devian's leg.
"Poisonous vines may I add." She said losing all the poise and charm she carried as a Queen.
Delia shot light arrows at them breaking them apart.
She started calling out the tormenters of hell, the various poisonous reptiles, and the venomous plants at her command. But nothing was causing any harm to Devian who has literally had a glowing sword in his hand, a weapon cast by light in him. He slashed and killed everything that came his way trying to get to Delia who was fighting Persephone standing her ground with courage.
Pandora was handling three furies all on her own with expertise.
But everything came to stop as Devian closed on Persephone and struck her with the sword conjured purely of light. Persephone let out a scream causing tremble around them as she fell on the ground. Blood oozed out of her and Devian gave her a look of challenge.
A tear escaped her eyes in pain.
For a few seconds, it felt like everything was frozen. And then the hell actually broke loose as the army of the dead started rising from the ground. A smile formed on Persephone's lips though it looked more like a grimace.
"I think my King is not pleased." She said rejoicing the fact that Hades came to her aid.
The army of dead was unending, rising in numbers of millions and trillions.
Delia fought with the soldiers using her light in any way possible. But tears were welling in her eyes at the thought of dying her, without completely letting go of the fact that Devian fell in love because he started this as revenge, her only friend was a Light Guardian and not other was paid to be friends with her who was not dead.
Her one aunt never even bothered to contact her. She had no family and she wanted Devian to become her family but surrounded by dead raised from hell, she was literally standing in the middle of hell. There was no way she could survive this. But if she couldn't, she wanted to save Devian and for that, she needed to do something drastic.
Her only hope was, this time healing god can come and complete his job without any mistakes and loopholes.
"Delia, what are you doing?" Devian yelled as he literally cleared the path slashing the dead away.
He realized that she was just standing there getting hit to the point god of healing would hear her and take Devian away.
"Pandora, don't let him come near me." She almost pleaded with her and Pandora knew what she was going to do.
She was going to get hurt to the point of extreme pain just to call Asclepius.
She looked in awe as she attacked only one around Devian and not the one hurting her. Her clothes were soaked in blood and her legs were trembling underneath her body.
"Let's see Light Guardian who wins now."
No matter how powerful Devian was, Hades army kept rising indefinitely.
And there was no escaping this hell.
Pandora knew what needed to be done. She had to win for once, she had to feel happiness once in her life and this was the only way to do it.
She gripped Delia's hand who in so much pain that her sense was numb and yet she turned slowly.
"Thank you," Pandora said and smiled for the first time, a smile of relief.
And she conjured herself a weapon just like Delia and Devian were doing and pierced her heart without even a moment's hesitation.
The Light, the darkness, the centuries of scars and pain, hatred and all the evil unleashed from within her blowing of the gathered army of dead. The hit effected the already hurt Delia and she lost consciousness, Devian catching her before her head could hit the ground.
Pandora vanished liked the dust as her shocking energy of mixture of dark and light destroyed most of the dead but more keep coming.
"Delia" Devian cried out no caring about the army surrounding them or that Persephone was calling on to Hades.
Terror hit his whole body as he checked for her pulse that was not there.
"Delia. Don't do this. Don't leave again in this life of loneliness and misery." He yelled and tears flowed down her eyes.
Someone was stabbing his chest, he felt so much pain to see the lifeless Delia in front of her.
"Come on, we need to go Guardian." A familiar voice said in a hurry.
"Asclepius," Devian said and noticed Persephone preparing to attack them postponing on calling her husband.
"Darkness is spreading and it will reach the mortal world from here, quick." He said.
Devian glared at him with hate. Asclepius didn't even bother that Delia was not breathing.
"I don't care." He yelled and tried with all his might to transfer her light into her.
"I will heal her, she is not dead," Asclepius promised.
"First heal her." Devian snapped.
"If Hades come, I won't be able to help. Let's go first or else everything will fall in chaos with the amount of darkness Pandora just emitted." The greek god almost begged.
Devian sighed and picked up Delia in her arm, "Let's go then."
