~*The Light Queen*~
"Come to your senses Guardian, the world is facing a crisis." The Asclepius yelled at Devian who was still trying to bring Delia to life.
"You said you will heal her." He yelled and grabbed the collar of the Greek God.
"After you help me handle the chaos or else Rapahel will nag me. This is the price you have to pay." He said offering the poor light Guardian an easy choice.
"She is not breathing, I don't think I can focus on anything else right. She is the noble one, not I, I don't care if this world perishes. She is my world." Devian snapped at him.
Asclepius sighed in frustration.
He almost pushed Devian away and stepped forward. Placing hands on her forehead he mumbled a few words, a hallow formed over Delia's head and then strong wind gushed around them.
Seconds later she opened her eyes.
"There, done." Greek god did not look too pleased about this.
Devian pulled her for a hug sighing in relief and not even realizing that he was crying.
"Where is Pandora?" She asked looking at Devian carefully not aware that she almost died and gave him a minor heart attack.
The silence made her edgy.
"Did she really..." She couldn't bring to finish her sentence.
That girl was made had a tool for revenge, had no control over her life and was tortured for an eternity. Now that she had freedom, she died.
Tears rolled down her eyes as she grieved a loss of someone she considered her arch enemy. If I was courageous enough before, she mused to herself regretting her life as a Queen.
"Umm...you will have enough time for tears, first help the darkness find a box."
"Let's go," Delia said and Devian smiled at her goodness.

With the spreading troubles and evil, the people in the town were going berserk. Reluctantly, Devian and Delia hard to part ways to handle the situation.
Thunder was rumbling in the sky.
"It's a warning," Asclepius said looking wary.
"From?" Delia asked.
"Zeus. He is keeping this in control and if don't handle the darkness in here he will burn the whole place down to stop the darkness to spread."
"No, this is a game. I am familiar with the thunder. I have seen this before when I was barely escaping death and gave all my powers to Devian." Delia said remembering the past.
"What do you suggest?" Asclepius asked, grateful that Delia was back since Devian was too impulsive to handle.
"Let's handle what we can on our own."
"We can't cover a whole city in one day, I can but you both can't." He said.
"Devian is a lot stronger than you know." She said slightly worried about his safety now that they parted ways.
"I know, he single-handedly tackled one of the strongest demons."
" I can't help you anymore, I am not allowed to interfere this much," Asclepius said.
"But Persephone was interfering more than this."
He shrugged as if he was not in the same category.
"Instead I healed your friends for you, other light guardian and the minor angel. Good luck."
Out of nowhere, Wendy came running towards her.
"Crocell is with Devian, let's go."
They went around the city saving people, stopping violence meanwhile Delia tried her best to absorb all the bad around, taking in all the darkness. But she knew she couldn't take it all. Pandora was carrying half her burden just like she was carrying half of hers.
She would die in the process but that would mean Hades and Persephone will succeed.
As she ran for almost three hours without stopping, her muscles were burning, her lungs aching. Sweat covered her body and nerves in her head was exploding with pain. She stumbled and fell on the ground. The dark in her body was overwhelming the Light. Because half of it she gave to Pandora, to her soul to heal and survive.
And that was all gone, used in escaping hell and the unending army of the dead.
"Delia." She could hear the distant voice of Wendy.
"Devian, find me Devian. Let me see him once." She said as she saw the familiar burn marks on her hands and legs.
"Please save the innocent." She pleaded with Wendy who looked pale and exhausted herself, her eyes flickering into dark black.
She was handling enough darkness in her soul.
Slowly Delia's eyes were closing and she remembered Devian, his smiles, his kisses, his care and everything about him. Tears fell down her eyes as she begged for the suffering to end and let all the bad end with her and Devian live in peace.
Gradually she fell on the ground, her body filled with darkness now.
And yet she had no desire to kill or no desire to destroy. It was just gut-wrenching pain in her mind that she wanted to die at that moment.
"Delia." His voice brought her to momentary consciousness.
"I love you." She said with as much energy as she could muster.
And saw surprise flicker in his eyes.
He wondered how even when she was filled with darkness did she carry all the goodness.
"Thank you for being my Light Guardian." She whispered, "Kiss me, one last time."
Devian didn't hesitate and lifted her up capturing her lips with his, as a tear fell down his eyes as well.
"Save her please!" He yelled into nothingness as the kiss broke and Delia's body was lifeless.
Wendy stood there in shock and Crocell started sobbing.
As Devian broke down into more tears, light erupted from him and started spreading, Delia lying lifeless in his arm. Her whole body was covered with black nerves, burn mark and injuries.
Slowly the thunder stopped and the darkness started fading. It was like Devian was cleansing the town without even knowing. His light was so strong that spread around as he grieved. He didn't even realize that he was doing this just because Delia wanted the town to be saved.
He was in too much pain, enough to wish death upon himself because for two times in a day he has lost his heart, someone precious to him. And now she was gone. He stared shattered piece of glass next to him and his mind ran the idea of how quickly he could use it to kill himself.
"Devian, look." Wendy small voice brought him back to senses.
And he did, Delia in his arms was healing. Her skin smoothened back and the dark veins faded back in.
Devian almost stopped breathing on seeing her transform in front of him. Even though pale, she was mostly back to herself. Everything about glowed and she looked beautiful and out of this world.
Suddenly everyone felt a tremor around in the air and the earth.
And Delia gasped out loud as her eyes snapped open.
Devian looked at her with disbelief. She was breathing, she was alive.
She sat up in a rush and hugged Devian.
"I am sorry, I am sorry." She mumbled crying on his shoulders.
She was going to leave him again and that would only give him pain.
He just patted her back.
"Job well done." Raphael's voice brought everyone to attention.
Crocell was as usual hiding behind Wendy but Delia and Devian bought bowed lightly to him grateful for his help.
"How am I alive?" Delia asked the question everyone wanted to answer.
"You are the Light Queen, dying by darkness would have been quite a tragedy." He said with a rare smile one can get from someone as powerful as him.
"But truly how am I alive?" She asked pleading him to know it's not a dream.
Her life has been too bad to trust in such miracles.
"Your goodness, you are light queen for a reason Delia. You have so much kindness and goodness in you that you are the source of light. You might have thought that I can't carry that much darkness. You even helped your supposed arch enemy.
Your goodness can turn the darkest of evils into the light." He explained like this should have been obvious.
"So no matter how much darkness I would have taken in I would have survived." She asked.
And Raphael nodded with an amused look.
"Also your sweetheart helped, surprising even me by the power he carries." He looked at Devian who gave him a cool passive look.
"Everyone has darkness in them, Delia, except you. All humans are both good and bad. The day bad outways good, the day even your Light is not enough, is the day you lose. Till then you are to live forever."
"Why did the previous Queen died?" Delia asked curiously how it worked.
"As I said, your goodness makes you perfect. She was not the perfect Light Goddess and needed to be reborn. You the perfect version."
"But she was brave and strong, a warrior."
"So are you Delia, what makes you think you are any less stronger. You saved the world right now, his and ours." He pointed towards Devian who rolled his eyes.
Delia was Devian's world, as he stated.
"And Pandora?" She asked in a small concerned tone.
"You set her free. Or in the commom phrase, you let the Pandora's box open but incaged the darkness in the right time."
"Wish you both a happy life, as much as you can manage." And with that ominous blessing, Raphael was gone.
"Can we go back home now?" Delia asked looking at Devian.
"Please." He said lifting her in his arms secretly overjoyed on the fact that he called his home her home as well.
