01 - I
I lean my head against the wooden door to my home, which happens to be an old rickety outhouse. It's located in the backyard, just a couple of meters behind the main house— where I used to reside in.
I sharply open up the door and enter— inside this outhouse of mine is filled with junk which my step mother, Ms. Hyungsik, buys and never uses.
I've tried cleaning it up before but about half-way through my cleaning I became terrified at the fact that I may find something trauma inflicting hence, only a portion of this outhouse is actually livable.
I groan as I sloggish-ly make my way toward my bed, slowly feeling the cramps in my tummy from earlier worsen. Despite the pain I'm feeling within a small smile still manages to creep onto my soft features when I notice a fimiliar form laying on my bed.
"Jiminie ah~." My soft voice makes him look up from the book that he's reading and he smiles at me. Shortly after, I collapse over him and groan in agony, "Please don't move."
"Is something wro-" Jimin asks.
"Soo Yeong ah~!!!" A sudden cute voice interjects, making me scream in surprise.
"Jungkook ah~," I whine, instantly recognising the voice. "Do you want my uterus to-" I mumble but stop when I realise that Jungkook's still a baby.
"Ute- what?" He asks innocently and I hear him rummaging through this junk pile.
Seeing Jungkook and Jimin in here is not an unusual site for me because they're my best friends and have been for a long time but on the other hand I'd say that Jungkook comes here just to dig through all this junk hoping to strike gold oneday.
Let's just hope that day comes soon.
"Nothing and stop rummaging in those stuff. I don't know what's in there." I warn Jungkook and feel Jimin's hand over my back. I guess he realised that I'm on my period.
Dysmenorrhoea can be a pain— quite literally.
"Aish Kookie, stob or you'll disrupt the ecosystems and food chains that's been created in there." Jimin laughs and I feel his stomach rise and fall beneath me. It's kinda soothing.
"Hyung, you can find great things in here. Last time I found a gaming controller." Jungkook says rather triumphantly
"If you contract any diseases I'm not paying for your hospital or therapy bills. I've warned you Kookie." I smile although I'm serious.
"Sure, sure." He hollers, completely ignoring my words. "Also there's less than a week of winter break left so I've got to make the most of this." I chuckle at his words and he continues his treasure hunt.
"You want me to get you anything, you know..." Jimin's soft voice forms rainbows in my ears.
I turn to face him, "No. Dying here with you two beside me is the only pain reliever I need." I jokingly say as I shift to cuddle Jimin. "And sleeping like a winter bear right now sounds pretty darn good."
Jimin chuckles softly as he allows me to rest my head on his chest but the words he delivers soon after are filled with concern, "Dying is a strong word Soo Yeong ah."
"Dying hardly describes it, Jiminie." I close my eyes hoping to fall asleep on this ball of comfort but to my absolute dismay a loud crowed voice coming from just outside my home can be heard.
"Soo Yeong!!"
That voice.
That screeching voice.
It can only be one person—
My step mother.
Almost immediately, Jungkook's rummaging comes to a halt and Jimin and I exchange surprised looks. I quickly get off Jimin, feeling the blood flow out all at once but I ignore it and pull at his arm trying to get him off the bed.
"Quick, hide Mochi and you too Jungoo." Jungkook looks shooketh so I quickly push him towards Jimin whose quickly making his way towards a very messy corner not far from my bed.
"Didn't you just come from the main house. That dragon lady never lets you rest." Jimin mumbles annoyedly and I watch him and Jungkook squeeze themselves between my clothing and make shift homework desk looking like a very cute kookmin sandwich.
The door suddenly flies open to reveal the dragon lady stepping foot into my layer. I quickly turn back to face the two boys and place a finger over my lips and they nod silently.
If the dragon lady catches them in here there's no telling what she'll do nor do I want her to unleash her scarring flames on the only friends I have like she did once before.
I fiddle with my fingers as stand infront of my bed watching the women approach me with much sass and hip movements. Luckily for me, her perfume fills the room with a strong and very intoxicating aroma otherwise I'll definitely be busted since Jimin and Jungkook always exudes pleasant scents.
My eyes darts towards to her facial features— her eyes are embellished with bright orange eyeshadow that matches the shade of Jimin's perfectly styled hair and her cheeks are heavily blushed. Her blonde hair is tied up in a tight and high bun which is probably holding her sagging face skin.
"Soo Yeong," She says pointing her very manicured index finger directly at my nose. "I need you to go to the dry cleaners for me to pick up my dress."
I nod at her words and she roughly shoves a piece of paper into my hand, "Give them this. I don't care what happens to you but make sure my dress gets here in tact."
I nod once more then look down at the piece of paper seeing that it has the details of when she sent her dress for dry cleaning and the type of dress along with the colour code.
"I've got a date tonight," She gloats and I stare at her blankly but in my mind it's whirling with thoughts that someone actually agreed to go on a date with her!
I almost puke at the thought of her dating again. It gives me the shivers.
She dated my father for awhile then married him— I think that's a bit obvious since I've told you that she's my step mother but I will never fathom why he married her in the first place because she was wicked from the beginning.
I guess love really is blind.
Anywho, after my father passed on due to a health issue, everything he ever owned, the main house, the car, his hard earned money and even I was forfeited to her and her daughter, Ah Ro, because my father apparently didn't make a will but somehow my heart tells me everything was ursurped from me.
"What are you waiting for! Go!" She claps her hands together which startles me out of my daydreaming.
Whatever the dragon lady wants the dragon lady gets since I have nowhere else to live other than here. I quickly turn towards my desk, grabbing my cross bag as I hear her steps receed towards the exit. My eyes darts down to Jimin and Jungkook and their expressions a filled with concern.
"Just wait a while then come out." I whisper trying as hard as I can to ignore the looks on their faces.
"Soo Yeong ah~..." Jimin whisper yells, sounding even more concerned and distraught. "Let me go ins-"
"I'll be fine Jimin." I reassure him then quickly exit the outhouse as well.

I exit the dry cleaners with Ms. Hyungsik's navy floral dress. It's a cute knee lenght dress but I'm not quite certain if it'll suit her because just by looking at it I would say it belongs to Ah Ro but it's not my job to criticize anyone.
I lean against a brick wall just outside the store, feeling a little weak due to the heavy blood flow. In order to regain my stamina again I inhale slowly while gazing up at the bright blue cloudless sky, noticing a few birds soar across the magnificent creation.
I envy them right now.
Because more importantly, I could be at home right now suffering with my period cramps while listening to Jungkook rummage through the junk and using Jimin as a bed but instead I have to be out here running errands for that dragon lady.
Jimin whose sweeter than a sugar cube itself was kind enough to offer to run this errand in my stead which I obviously had to refuse because I can't be a leach or a burden to him.
I have the ability to still walk on my own so I should do it myself because delegation isn't something I believe in although I know Jimin wouldn't mind doing it.
With one foot in front of the other, I slowly make my way across the boulevard seeing the different store's I've been to countless of times thanks to Ms. Hyungsik— delegation at it's finest.
Normally, I would walk at a faster pace to get home but if I overexert myself I know I'll blackout and that could have disastrous results.
As I continue on my way I feel my cheeks slowly start to burn, my face starts to get numb and my breathing rate rapidly increases. These are the first and obvious signs that I'll blackout at any moment so I quickly spot the closest bench which is in front of a skateboarding area and I take a seat.
I lean my head backwards and breathe in and out whilst fanning myself. If I stay like this for a while, the numbness and heat will die down making this faint feeling fade away.
As I sit I watch a few people walk by with shopping bags, food packets, beverages etc etc and as the minutes pass I feel the heat to my cheeks slowly start to drop but instead of getting up I allow my gaze to wander over to the skateboarding area.
I notice alot of people there, especially people around my age but a certain boy whose skating smoothly across the tar all alone somehow catches my attention— maybe it's because he's all alone and looks sort of mysterious-like.
Nonetheless, I proceed to scan his features; he has minty coloured hair, a mouth mask covering half of his face, a pair of dark denim jeans, a pastel pink leather jacket and black boots. He looks like one of those bad boy types straight out of a cliché highschool themed movie— but I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. I mean that's exactly what caught my attention.
"Maybe he doesn't know any of those people that's why he's skating alone." I shrug, feeling no numbness in my face.
I continue to watch him out of curiosity and as he approaches a small ramp he begins to slow down reaching a constant speed. My eye's narrows at the weird behaviour because he isn't going to climb the ramp with that speed but before I could even think any furthur he suddenly slips— the skateboard vanishing from beneath his feet and he plummets to the ground.
He hits the ramp with a sharp sound and I wince. I immediately get up, grabbing Ms. Hyungsik's dress and I run towards him. Though, I sorta regret getting up because the flow is just painful but I throw that thought to the back of my mind and reach the boy.
Sadly enough, nobody around the skating area bothered to even check up on the him. The most they did was just stare and snicker before getting back to their skating. That just makes you want to give up on humanity entirely.
"Goodness, are you okay?" I drop to my knees, being wary of Ms. Hyungsik's dress, as my hands comes into contact with his arm but instead of answering me he chuckles softly.
This surprises me and I look at him confused.
Maybe the pain is too much for him to handle and laughing is his coping mechanism- I don't know I'm just making wild assumptions.
His laugh slowly dies down and he turns to face me but that mouth mask of his obstructs a full view of his face but despite not knowing what he looks like I feel my cheeks flush when his eyes scans me from top to bottom— did he just check me out?
His hands falls to either sides of his body and he props up his right leg. Out of shyness I dart my gaze away from his brown eyes and remove my hands from him as well, looking at his forehead which is now exposed thanks to his mint hair being brushed back by gravity.
"Your forehead," I say rather nervously. "I-It's bleeding." I watch him raise his hand to touch the wounded area but I quickly grab his forearm instead, "Don't touch it," I warn.
He looks at me with surprised eyes and I take notice of his single and double lid eyes, "It could get infected." I let go of his forearm and open up my cross bag.
He sits up, staring at me in confusion. "What are you doing?" He asks, his voice is deep and it has an innocent tone to it.
I know I've heard this voice somewhere before.
I look up at him and show him a disinfectant spray and some tissues- I always have these in my bag because you never know when you'll get hurt. I move closer to him to remove his bangs which is now fallen over his forehead but he flinches. So, to make him somewhat comfortable I smile hoping to give him some reassurance that it'll be fine.
And it seems to work because he replaces my hand with his own after some time so that he's now holding his bangs. I swab away at the blood on his forehead, being careful not to hurt him. "Close your eyes for a second." I say and he obeys.
I spray the disinfectant twice over his wound and quickly dab a tissue over it multiple times. He winces at the touch and I feel somewhat guilty for putting him in more pain but shortly after he opens up his eyes and stares at me.
I feel awkward but continue to dab nonetheless. Once I'm done I move away from him and rummage through my bag once more, looking for some bandaids to cover up his wound.
"Uh... thank you." He says shyly.
I smile warmly at him, finally pulling out two bandaids and it has my favourite celebrity's face on it; Luhan.
I place one of the bandaids over his wound while muttering a becareful nextime and I give the other intact bandaid to him because he needs it more than I do right now.
afterwards, I quickly get up, suddenly remembering that I need to get home with the dragon lady's dress or she'll phone me and give me an earful, which I really don't need to happen right now.
But I get up too fast and I feel all my blood rush straight to my legs in turn making me feel light headed. I stumble and the boy notices so he gets up and holds onto my shoulders, "Are you alright?" He asks and I nod but I feel myself go numb again.
"I need to get home." I mumble and start seeing black spots in my line of vision.
"you don't look as if you can walk on your own right now," He says and makes me sit down on his skateboard.
I sit there breathing heavily, trying to inspire as much oxygen as possible.
"Soo Yeong ah~!" I hear a voice from a distance and I look up through my dotted vision to see Jungkook approaching the boy and I. "Jimin sent me to look fo- are you okay? What happened?" His voice holds surprise and he kneels down in front of me.
I shake my head denoting a no.
"Get up, I'll take you home." Jungkook says and slowly makes me stand up. "Are you okay to walk on your own?"
"I don't think that's a good idea," The mint haired boy says. "You should carry her."
Jungkook nods in acknowledgement, "Thanks," He says to the boy and slowly lifts me up bridal style. "Jimin was right when he said you weren't well." I smile at the thought of Jimin, he's observative.
The mint haired boy hands me Ms. Hyungsik's dress and Jungkook begins to walk away but before we're out of sight I smile and wave at the boy and much to my surprise he waves back giving me a cute eye smile— but under his mouth mask I can tell that he's smiling as well.
I turn my gaze away from the boy feeling a little embarrassed and I direct it toward Jungkook, "thank you Kookie." I say.
"Hmm and next time when you're aren't well, let Jiminie or I help you out okay?" He informs softly.
"Okay," I smile and lean my head on his shoulder.
A/n: That's it, that's the chapter. Sorry it's a bit long.
Incase you're wondering what Luhan looks like, here's a few photo's of him.
