Your POV
Its been almost a week since I've been stranded on the desert with barely any food or water left.
I was tasked with visiting a friend who lived in Westwind. But on my way back, some rebels attacked me and raided my stuff.
So now, Im left with very few supplies. It was a miracle that I even survived for a few days. Though, I don't know if my luck will last any longer.
I drank the last drop of water from my canteen before realizing that it was probably the end of the line for me.
I sat down on the hot desert sand and looked at the dunes in the horizon. I sighed as I knew that without water, I could die in a matter of hours.
I noticed an odd looking cactus in the distance. I think it moved. Wait, cacti don't make human sounds.
Is it a mirage? Or am I seeing people in the distance? "Hey! Over here!" I called out as I stood up and ran to them with the last of my energy.
One of the people, a Spearton, heard me and turned around. "What the? What are you doing in the middle of a desert?" He questioned.
"I was on my way back from Westwind but some rebels attacked me and stole my stuff." I replied as I finally reached the group.
Oh gosh, they're all elite soldiers: an elite Spearton, 2 elite Archidons, and an elite Swordwrath.
"Do you mind if I come with you?" I asked. "I'll just tag along until you leave the desert."
The elite soldiers looked at each other first and whispered. After that, they all looked at me.
"Fine, you can come with us. But we will take you to our general and he will decide your fate." The Spearton said as he motioned for me to follow the group.
I went with them and in 2 days, we were in Ice Hills. There was a bit of a snowstorm but I was able to keep up with the elites.
"There's the camp." One of the elite Archidons pointed to a few tents that looked blurry due to the snow. "We'll take you straight to Xenophon."
The Spearton led me to one of the tents. I followed him and felt warm once we were inside. "Xenophon! We found some girl in the desert!" The Spearton said out loud.
"Leave her here and go back to your squad." I heard a voice. "Yes sir." The Spearton responded as he was about to leave.
Seeing that I looked a bit worried, the Spearton went to tell me something. "The general is actually a great guy, just don't get on his bad side." He whispered.
I nodded as the Spearton left the tent. I looked around for this general guy. Xenophon was his name right?
"Looking for me?" I heard his voice again. I looked to one side and saw a Swordwrath with a helmet sitting on a chair.
"Are you Xenophon?" I asked, trying not to sound scared. "Yes, I am. And you are?" "Y/N." "Y/N, thats a nice name. What brings you here?"
"I was stranded on the desert with most of my food and water gone because of some rebels. I saw your men there and I asked them if I could stay with them until we left the desert."
"Hmm, and what did they say?" "They said that you would decide my fate." "Well yes, after all, I wouldn't be so hospitable if I found out you were a spy."
"Im not a spy." "Good, because if you are..." Xenophon pulled out a knife and threw it at me. It only barely missed. "...I will know and not hesitate to kill you."
I gulped but I shrug it off and go back to being calm. "So where can I stay first? I need to stay here for a few days to rest up and then I'll be on my way-"
"Im sorry, but I can't let you leave." Xenophon said in a serious voice as he walked towards me and grabbed me by my shoulders. "This camp is secret and I plan on keeping it that way."
"Wait, so what do you plan on doing with me?" I asked as I try to push his hands away. "Weelll, you could join my army...
"...Or you could be my servant. Either way, you'll still be stuck here." Xenophon answered. It was an easy decision. "I'll join your army." I said.
"You sure? Its hard work-" "I'd rather spend my time fighting and training instead of cleaning up after a general."
Xenophon shrugged as he let go of me. "As long as you're here its fine by me." He replied. "You will be given a few days to rest. Training starts right after."
"Alright." I was about to turn around to go to the other tents. "But in case you want reconsider, just tell me." Xenophon winked at me.
I ignore him and walk out the tent to find the Spearton who led me here. He introduced me to some of the other soldiers and toured me around the camp.
Xenophon POV
I sharpen my sword as I think of the new girl, Y/N. She's interesting. With her around, Im sure things will be more entertaining.
"Maybe someday she'll fall for me as well." I said to myself as I look at my blade before chuckling.
