Why are ppl so interested in this?

Its been a while since we've been on the run. We left the forest ever since the encounter with the Shadowrath. But now, Marrowkai doesn't have much idea where to go.

"Order is probably searching the Crawler Forest. They've also maybe taken over the cities already." He explained.

"Why don't we go to the Eclipsors? They live in high and jagged mountains. Plus, the way up is pretty rough and hard to travel in." I suggested.

"Well then, what about us?" Marrowkai asked. "The Eclipsors will help us, especially if they see that we're traveling with the daughter of Medusa." I replied.

"Not a bad plan. It'll do." The skeleton said as we continued to walk in silence. Then, I felt Petra tug on my hand. "Im tired." She complained.

"We're all tired. But we need to keep moving or else we might bump into other Order soldiers." I told her. But Petra continued whining.

Marrowkai sighed. "Fine, we can stop here for a few minutes. Its a long journey anyway." He said as we settled under a tree.

Since the Crawler Forest is huge, it was taking a long time to travel out of it. But thankfully, once we do get out, we will be in Eclipsor territory and very close to the jagged mountains.

Marrowkai and I were alert while Petra was chasing after a butterfly. I kept my eye on her to make sure she didn't get out of my line of sight.

After we had the rest we needed, we continued our journey towards the Eclipsor's land. By the time night fell, we were out of the woods and a mountain was in sight.

As usual, I was tasked to guard Petra while she slept. I stayed beside her as she layed down. But she looked up to the sky.

"Y/N, what happens when we get to the mountains?" Petra asked. "Well, we'll stay there to stay safe from Order." I answered.

"No, I mean, what's our plan to take back the Chaos Empire?" The young Gorgon questioned. I stayed silent.

"I don't know yet. But Im pretty sure Marrowkai will come up with something. He always does." I reassured Petra.

"What about mom?" Petra asked as tears started to fall from her eyes. "I really miss her. Every night, she would be there with me before I sleep."

I look at Petra and pull her closer to me. "Your mother is up there. She'll always be with us in spirit and in our hearts." I said to the princess.

Petra started crying. I hug her as she dug her face into my chest. "Shhh, its ok, Petra." I try to calm her. "Your mother is fine. And we'll be fine, too."

Petra sniffed. "Are you sure? We lost my mom and the empire. How are we supposed to be fine?" Petra asked.

"Because I'll protect you. Even if we lose everything, there's nothing to worry about. I will always be by your side until the end of Inamorta." I reassure her.

Petra smiled a bit. "Thanks, Y/N. You're the bestest friend I can ever ask for." She said as she hugged me. I hugged her back.

"Now, its getting late. You should be asleep right now." I tell the Gorgon. Petra nodded. "Alright. But can you do one thing for me before I do?" She asked.

"Anything." I replied. "Can you sing me a lullaby my mom used to sing for me?" Petra requested. "Its called Night of the Full Moon."

I heard of that lullaby. My mother never sang it to me but I've heard it from Order parents before I slaughtered their family.

So I nodded and sang to Petra until she yawned and closed her eyes.
