How the heck did this book get 2k reads-?

Your POV

"Alright, remember, when you get there, just clash your fists together to explode." A Marrowkai explained to me and 4 other Bombers.

One of them looked at the Marrowkai in confusion then looked at his own hands. He did what Marrowkai said and in a second, he blew up.

The rest of us coughed at the smoke. "Idiot, he wasn't supposed to do it now." The Marrowkai muttered. "Anyways, get going. General Knight is waiting."

The Bombers and I scurried to find the Juggerknight general. The camp was a bit far from the castle so we hurried on our way.

I looked at the rest of my squad mates. They looked tired. None of us were actually used to walking for long periods of time.

We were only created a few days ago. After a few training sessions, Medusa decided it was fine for us to be brought to the battlefield.

However, we were taught that most Bombers only last for one fight and rarely live to see its end. I sighed as I urged my companions to move faster.

The 3 of them did as I told but stopped. "Why'd you stop?" I asked as I stop to look at them. "Uhh, cuz there's something appearing in front of you." One of them replied.

"Wait, what-" I looked in front of me. There was some kind of dark blue portal or rift-like appearing in front of me.

I backed away as something or someone suddenly came out of it. My companions were confused and worried. But I tried to keep calm.

I approached the figure as it started to appear more clearly. It had dark blue skin and had striking blue eyes.

The portal behind it soon disappeared. I cleared my throat and gathered the confidence to talk.

"Hey um, who are you?" I asked the entity. The entity looked at me before growling. "Bombers from Chaos..." I heard him say.

"Ehh, yeah so-" I stuttered. "We'll be on our way now." I gestured for my squad to follow me, but they stayed in place.

"You... you work for the monster who got my friends killed." The entity said. "Huh?" I asked.

"You all deserve to die." The entity then created a kind of energy ball in his hands. He blasted it at me and my squad.

We were able to barely dodge it. But then the entity teleported behind one of my squad mates.

The Bomber looked scared so he hesitantly did what Marrowkai taught us: he put his fists together and exploded.

The others looked at me, waiting for orders. "Uhh, we need to run. If we can get to the camp-" "You're not getting to the camp." The entity said as he flew towards us.

The 2 remaining Bombers and I ran separate directions to avoid getting hit. The entity, however, was going after me.

I ran as fast as my 2-clawed feet could carry me. But I felt myself getting tired. I wasn't focusing on the path in front of me so I accidentally tripped over a stone.

The entity caught up to me and was about to blast me with an energy beam. "Any last words, Bomber?" He snarled.

"Look man, we can talk this out, right?" I stammered as the entity growled. "After all, I was only born 2 days ago."

"2 days ago?" The entity asked as he stopped charging his energy beam. "Why would she send Bombers who were born 2 days ago?"

"Ehh, because of deceased mercenary statistics?" I tried to use complicated words that I heard from the Marrowkai.

The entity looked at me. "Fine, I guess I'll spare you." He told me. "And your friends." I sighed in relief.

"Thank you so mu-" "But next time we meet, I'll be sure to annihialate you." He added as he made another dark blue rift appear behind him.

"Wait, can I get your name or-" I said as I got up. The entity gave me one last look. "Endless." I heard him say before disappearing into the rift.

Endless. I repeated in my head. Hope I won't see him again anytime soon. I then pretended that nothing happened and called out to my squad mates.

I wonder if I would ever see that Endless guy again...
