Your POV
I woke up with a headache as I groaned and sat up. I was in a bed in what seemed to be an infirmary. My weapons were no where in sight.
I rub my forehead as I try to remember what happened. Then I noticed some bandages on my arms. I gasped as I felt another one covering half of my face.
"What happened to me?" I thought to myself. I tried to get off the bed and stand up but I couldn't gather up the energy to do it.
Suddenly, I heard a door open and I immediately face towards the source of the sound.
A Spearton with a red cape and scarred helmet stood there. I recognized him instantly. "Atreyos..." I muttered.
He must have heard me or read my lips because he rolled his eyes. I growled at him as he approached.
"What do you want from me?" I snarled as Atreyos stood in front of me. "And where is my sword?"
"Your weapons have been... discarded... for now." Atreyos replied without any emotion. I glared at him as I made an attempt to stand and lunge at him.
But I let out a groan as my body ached all over. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." The Spearton said. "Your wounds haven't healed completely yet."
"How'd this happen anyway?!" I cried. Atreyos sighed. "Don't you remember? You and your squad tried to take down one of our scouting teams?" He explained.
"But you failed and majority of your squad died. Only you and 2 others survived but with serious injuries.
"Father decided to be merciful and let you be cared for by the Merics until he knew what to do with you."
My eyes widened as the memories of the battle came back to me: My comrades and I fighting to take down the soldiers of Order.
"You... you were the last person I saw before I fainted." I looked at Atreyos. I remembered how he was able to land critical hits on me without even breaking a sweat.
"Yeah, one of your squad mates surrendered and begged us to spare your lives so... here we are now." Atreyos told me.
"So what now?" I asked with a bit of worry in my voice. Atreyos shrugged. "Father told me to ask you if you want to join the Order Empire.
"If you do, you'll be spared and treated as a normal citizen of Order. But if you refuse, you'll be kept in prison and probably die there."
So its either join Order or slowly die. "What did my comrades choose?" I questioned. "They haven't woken up yet." Atreyos responded.
"Oh-" I said. I thought about the decision. It was obvious which choice I would make. "I'll join Order I guess." I told Atreyos while trying to hide the hatred in my voice.
He nodded. "Alright then, I'll take you to father and you tell him yourself." He then helped me get up as I stumbled everytime I tried to walk.
I wrapped my arm around Atreyos' shoulder to keep my balance as I limped towards wherever the king of Order was.
I looked at the Spearton general as he walked beside me, making sure I didn't fall or lose balance.
His black eyes, strength, serious and tough personality... I wonder how he looks like without his helmet...
"The heck are you looking at?" Atreyos asked, snapping me back to reality. "I, uh- nothing." I replied as I look away and felt my face turn red.
He muttered something under his breath but I couldn't hear what he said. I tried to avoid staring at Atreyos as we continued walking.
But that didn't mean I stopped daydreaming about him.
