AU: Dream Eater

Context: In a case where Orange knows that he's a Dream Eater, Sabre visits him often, giving him blissful dreams whether they're lucid dreams or not.

[3rd Person POV]

He watched Orange Steve as he sat in the surreal, flower-filled meadow, playing with a hazy form resembling his favorite pig.

His dreams were usually like this, being this scene, him out adventuring, a happy memory, or something else that brought him comfort and joy. Sometimes, even he was included in Orange's dreams. He was glad that his friend thought of him so fondly.

Watching from afar in a nearby tree, Sabre sat nestled in the leaves as he used a high tree limb as a bench. This wasn't a lucid dream, so Orange wasn't able to see him, but he didn't mind. He enjoyed the experience anyway.

And as he felt the nourishing energy gather in the core of his true form, he also enjoyed that he was able to make him happy while he consumed the vibrant vitality he needed. It was potent this time, filled with happiness and euphoria, a playful nature and thoughts that felt like sunshine. It also felt soothing like a childhood lullaby, and almost fluffy, like how one would expect a cloud to feel. As Orange continued to enjoy the imaginary experience, Sabre enjoyed it just as much as he did.

What a wonderful dream.
