[] Day 11: Trenchant []
AU: Haunted Hero (but not the drama stuff yet, just more of Sabre and Time owning a cafe because writing that is really fun. Actually I might just make a branchoff of an AU just being that once I get Haunted Hero written down.)
Context: The village is hosting a festival, and people from all around are visiting the cafe because they've heard how popular it is from the villagers. Ever wonder how Sabre would deal with bad customers?
Spoiler alert: He's also the bouncer.

[3rd Person POV]
The cafe was filled to the brim with customers, the fun from the festival in the village spilling into the shop. Sabre and Time each worked the best they could to fill out the floods of orders.
As he tended to the front counter, making coffees, teas, and the like, he saw a mix of regulars and new customers, most of the new faces being from out of town. The festival was a big deal to the village, and he was glad to see so many people attending. He was also happy that so many people decided to come into he and Time's cafe, apparently hearing about it from others.
He talked cheerfully with visitors and residents alike as he made their drinks and handed out smaller treats, conversations about the event and other recent topics being common. Some asked questions about him and Time, which he was glad to answer most of them.
However, as he gave another customer their items, Sabre started to hear one of the people in the building get way too loud for his liking.
It was a Yellow Steve, talking at a high volume to his friends, complaining about how long the wait was. As he continued, his friends were visibly embarrassed and tried to get him to quiet down, but to no avail. Sabre sighed, annoyed, but continued with taking orders. A Red Steve walked up to the counter with a smile, and nicely greeted him.
However, as he started saying his order, the loud Yellow Steve was suddenly at the counter. He pushed away the startled Red and almost started leaning over the counter, nearly getting into Sabre's face.
"How long is this going to take?! We've been waiting for our food for thirty minutes!" The Yellow Steve nearly shouted.
Sabre took a deep breath and leaned back, trying to keep the rude Yellow from actually getting so close to his face.
"One, that's bullcrap, you walked in fifteen minutes ago." Sabre starts. "Two, Time is working as fast as he can to cook everything, but as you can see it's very busy and it's going to take a bit. Three, you just pushed someone as he was ordering, so kindly just go back to your table and keep your hands to yourself. I don't know if you were taught this, but that's considered very rude."
The Yellow Steve only looked angrier, while Sabre noticed that in the background, his friends all looked like they wanted to crawl into a hole.
"We shouldn't have to wait this long!"
"You've only waited ten minutes. If you don't like it, you're free to leave and your friends can just take a box out to you."
"I don't get why this place is so popular if you can't even-"
At that moment the Yellow Steve goes to make an arm gesture, but accidentally smacks the still waiting Red Steve in the face, sending him to the floor as he stumbled out of shock. The entire cafe gets noticeably quieter.
Sabre immediately steps out from behind the counter and helps him up, checking if he's okay. The Red Steve is holding his eye, and it's already bruising. As Sabre quickly takes some of the ice from a container on the counter and wraps it in a cloth for the Red Steve, he turns to the Yellow Steve with a stern look.
"Alright, you had your chance to calm down, but now you just gotta leave." Sabre says, handing the ice pack to the Red Steve as he goes to sit down on one of the chairs near the counter.
"What?!"
"You just injured somebody. I don't tolerate that. So get out of my shop."
The two are in a stare down for a minute, but a second later Time exits the kitchen to see what's going on, still carrying a baking tray filled with mini pies. He walks up to Sabre, confused.
"What's going on here?" He asks. "Why did everyon-"
He's interrupted as the Yellow Steve, in a rage, slaps the tray he's holding and sends it flying onto him. Time is covered in hot pie filling and pastry before he could get another word out, now thoroughly shocked and even more confused. He drops the tray and it clatters to the floor.
Sabre barely even thinks before he grabs the Yellow Steve by the back of the shirt, pulls him backwards...
And picks up the trash can.

Light didn't think anything interesting would happen during the village festival as he approached his friends' cafe, but then he saw a Yellow Steve get tossed out the door and into the street with a trash can over his head.
He heard the cafe immediately erupt into laughter, and soon after the humiliated Yellow Steve got up, angrily flung the trash can off, and stormed away. Light poked his head inside to see Sabre walking over to Time, who was for some reason covered in various fruit fillings.
"I took care of the trash. You alright?" Sabre smiles as he stops. It only makes the customers inside, and Time, laugh harder.
"Yes, yes, I'm fine. It's just pie." Time says as he calms down. "You didn't need to do that!"
"It was deserved though. And hilarious."
"Can't argue with that..."
As the cafe quiets down again, Time looks at the door and sees Light standing there. He waves at him as he wipes some filling off his mask.
"Hi Light, sorry about the mess."
Sabre turns around, sees him, and also waves. As Light walks in, he goes back to the counter, grabbing some other cloths and handing them to Time. He takes them and starts wiping off the pastry fillings.
"What on earth happened?" Light asks as he sits down next to the counter. "Did you do that?"
"Ah, that guy was just a troublemaker. He refused to leave, so I had to get him out somehow." Sabre chuckles. "Anyway, what's up?"
"...You two are just magnets for this time of thing, huh?"
"Maybe, but didn't you have to deal with that dude that put a tree on the HQ roof last week?"
"Who told you about that-?"
"Your guards aren't as quiet as they think they are."
