(No ones POV)

The arrival of the gems from Homeworld was inevitable. The Crystal Gems tried everything they could to destroy the enemy ship before it made it could land... Every single one of their attempts resulted in absolute failure. The ship took no damage from any single one of their weapons and now they were left with a single option... To stand their ground and fight while protecting Steven, who went against the instructions of his friends and headed straight into the battlefield to be next to them in this tough situation. 
Right now, Homeworld's hand shaped ship landed on the beach, facing Steven's home and the giant statue behind it. Then, a green bubble came out of the palm area of the ship and it rolled all the way towards the tip of one of the ship's fingers, where it stopped and opened itself to reveal gems from Homeworld. The Crystal Gems quickly recognized Peridot. After all... They have been messing with her machines. However, the crystal gems did not recognized the very tall and muscular gem behind Peridot.

Peridot: Jasper, they keep interfering with my work!

Jasper: Only this? 

Jasper said while studying all the members of the Crystal Gems. She had a great feeling of disappointment. She was expectin a real challenge... Not this.

Jasper: What a waste of time.

???: Let me see.

Jasper rolled her eyes and crossed her arms before stepping out of the way, allowing the gem behind her to have a look. Pearl let out a loud gasp once she saw who was behind Jasper... 

Pearl: He truly is back...

Pearl said while clenching her spear in anger with her hands. The infernal gem took many of her friends during the war... And now he was back to attack Earth once more.
Pearl was filled with anger, Garnet and Amethysth were able to keep somehow themselves relatively calm, but the nerves were slowly growing. Steven in the other hand... Was not doing so well. He was scared and it is understandable. Especially thanks to the things that Garnet and Pearl told him about Homeworld and... Onyx.

(Flashback)

The Crystal Gems were gathered around the portal that the green gem named Peridot and her companion used to visit and leave Earth. Garnet, not taking any chances, completely smashed the portal with her gauntlets to make sure they would not be able to come back.
Seeing gems from Homeworld already made Pearl panic... But seeing Onyx caused her to freak out even further.

Pearl: They are back! He is back! That wretched monster is going to burn everything again!

Pearl fell on her knees and covered her face with both of her hands. The horrible memories of the war were coming back. 

Steven: Pearl... Do you know that dude that looked at us and just turned around?

Pearl didn't answered to Steven's question. There are many things that she wanted to keep away from Steven in order to protect him... The stories of the infernal gem were part of the red list. What was she suppose to tell him? "Oh, hey Steven! That gem that you saw tried to kill your mother during a war and now he is back to finish the job!". Yeah... That was not going to happen.
Instead, Garnet walked towards Steven and knelt on the ground in front of him to be at his level. Then, Garnet took of her glasses and took a deep breath. While Garnet was preparing herself to clue in Steven about this other gem, Amethyst went to help Pearl to calm down.

Garnet: Steven... I don't know who "Peridot" is. But that other gem... His name is Onyx. 

Steven stood there quietly while listen carefully to what Garnet was telling him.

Garnet: Long ago, Onyx was one of the many gems that wanted to ruin this planet and get rid of all organic life on it. He was a monster capable of defeating entire armies on his own and along with his fire powers, the only things that he left behind his path were rubbles and ashes. He was merciless, brutal and nearly unstoppable... Or at least we believed that last part until Rose fought against him.

Steven: Mom... Mom fought him?

Garnet: Yes... Rose didn't gave us any details but whatever she did to him, it caused Onyx to retreat and we never saw him again. For a while we thought that maybe his gem broke after he retreated from that battle.

Pearl: Until now...

Pearl said, now in a more calm state thanks to Amethyst's help.

Pearl: Garnet...

Garnet turned to Pearl with a concerned expression. She knew how hard was this for Pearl.

Pearl: Onyx is a monster that only cares about destroying things and fighting. Without Rose, it's up to us to stop him the next time he shows up.

Amethyst: Uuuugh... I don't know P.

Amethyst was not very confident about it. She was awkwardly rubbing the back of her head while looking at another direction.

Amethyst: If he is such a monster capable of taking down armies... Can we really beat him in a fight?

Steven: Why did he lied?

Everyone suddenly turned to Steven. Now he was the focus of this conversation.

Steven: I mean... He clearly spotted us and just decided to leave without saying a word about it to Peridot. If he is a monster, wouldn't he just... You know... Attacked us?

Pearl and Garnet looked at each other, hoping that the other could give Steven an answer. Amethyst... She just shrugged off. No shame in admiting she had no answers to that question.

Garnet: We... Don't know. 

Garnet said with honesty. She was also a bit intrigued by this... 

Garnet: Something seems feels out of place... Onyx had the highest military rank in Homeworld. Why would he be following orders from Peridot?

Amethyst: Maybe he likes it? 

Pearl: It doesn't matter what twisted game is he playing. Once he comes back, we'll have to fight him... 

Pearl turned around and walked back to the portal without saying another world. She didn't knew if they could defeat Onyx without Rose... But...

She was going to stand her ground against that monster. Not only to fight in the name of all her friends that died at the hands of the infernal gem and to protect the Earth after all the sacrifices that were made to secure the safety of the planet... But to also protect Steven. Pearl didn't wanted to imagine what Onyx would do to Steven if he finds out about Rose's gem on Steven's body...

(Back to the present)

Onyx: A Pearl... An Amethyst... I have no idea who those are.

You clearly remember this small group from the time you visited the portals with Peridot. However, you lied about them in the past and now you are lying about them again to avoid some potential problems.

Japser: Oh, don't worry. I bet our friend over here sure does know something.

Jasper said before roughly pulling Lapis's arm, dragging her foward so she could get a good look at the crystal gems. You were about to intervene but relaxed when Lapis broke free from Jasper's grip. If Ash hadn't stayed inside the ship, she would probably be holding you back right now.

Jasper: This is their base?

Lapis: Yes...

Lapis said while feeling terribly ashamed. She guided danger towards the one human friend on Earth that cared for her and helped her. You noticed her expression and began wondering how did Lapis knew about them. But before you could make a question, Garnet caught your attention by demanding you and the rest of the Homeworld gems to leave this planet. 

Of course, Jasper didn't cared a single bit about any of their words. She was just disappointed that Rose was nowhere to be seen. She just wanted to beat and crush Rose. This made Steven get scared and it caught bot yours and Jasper's attention.

Jasper: What is that behind them?

Onyx: Is that a human?

Peridot: It calls himself "The Steven"

Lapis: He is not one of them!

Lapis said in hopes of persuading Jasper. However, the Quartz soldier glared at Lapis, who quickly took a few steps back to hide behind you. This confused Steven... Why would Lapis look for to hide next to a monster? However, right now there were worst things to worry about.

Jasper: Tch! You don't need me for this... Onyx, clean this mess.

This made Pearl and Garnet, the Crystal Gems that knew you the most, get very tense. They would have to fight against the flaming monster straight away?

Onyx: Excuse me? 

Jasper: What? Do orders just go right through your thick skull? I'm ordering you to get rid of this pathetic left overs of Rose Quart's army.

Lapis: Onyx... You are not going to-

Jasper: If he knows what is best for him, he better do it.

Both you and Jasper glared at each other. The Crystal Gems just looked at the scene in confusion. All of them had questions and they didn't knew what was going to happen. Who was truly in charge here? Were you going to attack them? From what it looks like, you were ready to start a fight with Jasper out of anger rather than with them. 
But sadly, even if you really wanted to send Jasper at the bottom of the sea, you couldn't take the risk of something happening to either Lapis or Ash. Homeworld could just punish them in order to hurt you... 
Letting out a sigh of frustration, you immediately went into your fire mode while pulling out your flaming sword from your gem.
The Crystal Gems got in position ready to fight while you were taking a couple of steps towards them, before completely stopping.

Onyx: I would normally engage with all of you in combat... But I'll do this quickly to spare you all the suffering.

You said while lifting your flaming blade above your head. The flames of your sword were quickly growing wilder and wilder. The Crystal Gems tried to tell Steven to run away. However, he did something that shocked everyone...
You threw a flaming slash with your sword to completely incinerate the gems and complete Jasper's orders. However, just a few moments before the attack could land, Steven got between The Crystal Gems and your attack. Everyone saw the explosion of your attack connecting with them, believing that the Crystal Gems were no more. But the smoke quickly disappeared, revealing a giant pink shield in front of Steven and the Crystal Gems. Both you and Jasper quickly recognized that shield.

Jasper: That shield!

Onyx: Rose... Rose Quartz?

Something... Something was wrong. You remember Rose Quartz and you even remember fighting against her during the war. But... Why is it that the more you try to remember, the more it hurts? 

Onyx: Rose...

You felt a sharp pain in your head. You were trying to remember something but... It was not coming out. You were holding the side of your head in pain. The flames of your body quickly disappeared and you started to take slow steps towards Steven, who now was on the floor catching his breath.

Onyx: Rose Quartz...

The pain was just not leaving. You were trying to remember what happened that day... The day you and Rose faced each other in battle. You didn't lost that fight but you didn't won either... Something happened that day that made both of you stop fighting. But the more you try to remember... The more white your memories about it become.
But before you could take another step towards Steven, you felt a far much heavier pain in your head. This wasn't caused by a repressed memory... That pain was caused by Garnet, punching you straight in the face to keep you away from Steven.
Garnet managed to punch you, making you stumble back a few steps.
Suddenly, a laser drew a line between you and The Crystal Gems, causing an small explosion that pushed both parts back. Jasper now decided to act after witnessing Rose's shield coming from Steven.

Onyx: Ugh...

You were now sitting on the floor while holding your head that was still feeling pain. But it seems Garnet's punch made you snap out of whatever was happening with your mind. 
Lapis ran towards you and helped you to get up.

Lapis: Onyx, are you okay?!

Onyx: Yeah... That punch placed everything back together for now...

Lapis: What happened to you over there?

Onyx: I...

Jasper: Stop fooling around!

Jasper shouted while holding some kind of electric staff on her hand.

Jasper: Capture Rose Quartz!

You looked at Lapis. Her eyes were almost pleading you to not go. She didn't wanted to see you hurt Steven or watch Steven's friends hurt you.
But suddenly, Pearl came out from a cloud of smoke. She ran straight towards you and launched a thrust with the blade of her spear at your chest. You pushed Lapis back to protect her and for Pearl's surprise, you caught the blade of her spear with your empty hand. She tried to push and pull her weapon out of your grip. But she was unable to recover her weapon or push it foward to stab you. 
You were staring at the expression of rage on Pearl's face. You thought that for the way she aimed her attack, she must hate you deeply...

Pearl: G-GRRRR!

In frustration, Pearl reached for her gem and summoned a second spear. She tried to stab you with her second weapon but once again, you caught with your free hand the blade of her spear before it could pierce your chest. 

Onyx: Stop it... You are not the gem that I want to beat up today.

Pearl: Shut up! I will not let you harm Steven in any way, you monster!

Pearl yelled in anger. The tip of both of her spears quickly started to glow between your hands.

Amethyst: PEARL! WAIT!

Amethyst was running towards you and Pearl with both of her whips out. It took her longer than the others to recover from the laser explosion. But before Amethyst could join, both of Pearl's spears caused an small explosion of light. Pearl got launched back towards Amethyst by the explosion. Luckly for her, Amethyst managed to catch Pearl before she could hit the floor... That's were the luck ends. Pearl's desperate move made her end with a few amount of bruises.

Amethyst: Don't you ever do something liike that again!

Pearl: S-Sorry... Did I get him...?

Amethyst looked at the area of the explosion. Smoke was still covering that small zone. However... She could still see a figure inside that cover.

Amethyst: No...

Amethyst said with a serious tone. You walked out of the smoke with only a few cuts in your hands. When Lapis saw you, she let out a sigh of relief. She got very worried for a moment there.

Amethyst: How did Rose even kicked this guy's ass?!

Pearl: I don't know... 

Pearl said while slowly getting up, using a new spear to support her weight. You stopped walking a few steps away from both Amethyst and Pearl.

Onyx: You are one brave Pearl... But you are not strong enough to beat defeat me on your own.

Amethyst: She is not alone on this fight, you Ghost Rider rip-off!

Onyx: ...Come again?

Amethyst was about to attack you with her whip. But then, she suddenly stopped. She had a horror expression on her face. You raised an eyebrow wondering why she stopped. It couldn't be because she got scared at the last second, right?
Following Amethyst's line of sight, you turned around only to see Jasper holding a knocked out Steven in the air in one hand and two gems with different colors in her other hand

Jasper: Unless you want to see this pathetic small version of Rose Quartz and this two disgraces of gems crushed, I suggest you two to surrender!

Both Amethyst and Pearl looked at each other. It didn't took them long enough to understand that they would not be able to save their friends, even if they fight... Both dropped their weapons and looked down in defeat. It was the only way right now to protect Steven and Garnet...

Jasper: Good choice. Now... GET INTO THE SHIP! WE ARE LEAVING THIS ROCK!

You knew what that meant... Back to your lovely and small cell in the ship. It will probably be a great surprise for the Crystal Gems to see that you'll be one of their roomates in prison during the trip back to Homewolrd.
But you thought that at least, now that this mess was over, you would be able to get some answers. Maybe learn about what happened to Lapis, for example... Right? 

(Time Skip)

After locking the Crystal Gems, Jasper escorted you to your cell. But once you got inside, you noticed that something was missing... Or better said, "someone" was missing. You looked at the oposite cell in front of yours only to see that it was completely empty.

Onyx: Where is Lapis...?

Jasper: You care a lot for her, don't you?

Jasper asked while looking down on you from outside your cell. But then, Jasper grew a big wicked grin on her face. 

Jasper: Yellow Diamond was right... The irony continues to grow. It almost makes me want to laugh outloud.

Onyx: Wha-The hell are you talking bout?

You asked in confusion. But a part of you was not looking foward to listen to what Jasper has in mind.

Jasper: The gem that was suppose to be "merciless" and a "monstrific warrior" has a big soft spot... That Lapis Lazuli.

Onyx: I don't know what you are talking about.

You were trying to remain calm in an attempt to fool Jasper. But unfortunately, the quartz soldier was more clever than what you originally gave her credit for.

Jasper: Don't play dumb with me! I have eyes and a good memory! The day you betrayed Homeworld, I heard that last thing you said in that message to our troops... You were referring to her, weren't you?

You glared daggers at Jasper with your eyes. You hated to admit it... But Jasper was right. You cared way too much about Lapis and you couldn't hide it.

Jasper: Yellow Diamond will be pleased to know that her suspicions were right. 

Onyx: W-What...?

Jasper: What? You didn't really thought that Yellow Diamond was going to let you go after all the things you did by completing ONE simple mission, did you? No, traitor. You will continue to work for Homeworld until Yellow Diamond sees no longer use for you or else... Well, let's say that Lapis Lazuli is not irreplaceable for Homeworld.

This quickly filled you with rage. Not only Yellow lied, but now she is using Lapis as a hostage to keep you under her control. 
In an attack of anger, your whole body got covered in flames and you slammed both of your fists against the energy barrier of your cell. The barrier was filling your body with pain as the electricity was flowing through your muscles. However, the barrier suffered no harm and Jasper didn't even reacted to your actions. She stood there watching you with a big smile of satisfaction on her face.

Onyx: WHERE IS YOUR HONOR?! YOU ARE A WARRIOR, JUST LIKE ME! IF YOU WANT TO BECOME MY SUPERIOR, BEAT ME IN A BATTLE COWARD!!!

Jasper: Honor?

Jasper leaned forward. Now the two of you were looking at each other face to face.

Jasper: Why should I treat you with honor when you are a traitor? You disobeyed orders from the diamonds and attempted to shatter your creator, Yellow Diamond! You have no right to talk about honor when you lost yours a millennia ago!

Jasper shouted at your face in fury before walking away. In her eyes, there was no need for honor when the person in front of you has none...
You pulled your hands back and fell on your knees because of the pain caused by the electricity. The flames of your body were gone but there was still some smoke coming out of your body.
You... You felt devastated. Not because of the physical pain, you have felt far worst. But... It's because how things turned out.
You didn't got the chance to learn about what happened to Lapis and you will never be able to do so. She would now forever be a hostage to keep you under Homeworld's control. Just a tool to use for them to keep a leash on you... 
And Ash... You didn't wanted to imagine how is she going to react once she finds out about this. She will only be able to quietly watch how her former master, her friend, is reduced to a walking tool for Homeworld to use until he breaks...
All you wanted the day you betrayed Homeworld was to save soldiers that didn't deserved to die and to protect the two most important gems for you. But now... The three of you will forever be prisoners from different prospects. You never wanted them to suffer but it seems that no matter what, those who cross paths with the infernal gem will suffer one way or another...

You silently stayed on your knees while experimenting a feeling that you never felt before... Sadness. You have felt something similar when you were near Blue Diamond. But the feeling never originally came from you... And it really caused a different impact.
You felt liquids slowly falling from your eyes and making their way down through your cheeks, until they finally dropped on the floor, causing some steam on impact with the ground. 

???: Em... 

Onyx: H-Huh...?

You slowly looked up and you could not believe who was talking to you... It was Steven.
You looked at him with some tears still falling from your eyes. You didn't understood how he managed to escape from his cell when it has the same barrier as yours. Did he somehow broke out...? While you were thinking about how did he escaped, Steven was still looking at you with a concerned face.

Steven: Are you okay?

You cleaned the tears off from your face with your forearm before glaring at him in annoyance.

Onyx: Rose... What the hell do you want?

Steven: I'm not my mom. My name is actually Steven and... You looked very depressed a few moments ago.

Onyx: Ugh... Listen Ro-

You stood quiet for a moment before letting out a sigh.

Onyx: Steven... It is a long story. But if you truly want to know, my friends are now going to suffer for the rest of eternity and I can't do a single thing to help them.

Steven: Is Lapis by any chance one of your friends?

Onyx: ...Is that obvious?

Steven didn't wanted to be mean by pointing out how it was beyond obvious. So he just nodded a couple of times in response.

Onyx: Well... Thanks for not making fun of that...

Steven: Why would I make fun of something like that? Lapis is my friend too!

Steven said with a smile. However, that last part truly surprised you. It would explain why Lapis felt so sad about coming back to this planet.

Onyx: Lapis is your friend? Do... Do you know what happened to her?

You asked Steven hoping that he could have an answer. 

Steven: Yes but... I don't know if this is the best moment to talk about this now. I need to save my friends and get off from this ship.

Onyx: Then let me out! If your goal is to escape, then you will need more strenght to fight Jasper!

Steven: Alright.

You blinked a few times while staying still... Did he just agreed that easily?

Onyx: R-Really? Just like that?

Steven: Yep! But you have to help me save my friends!

Onyx: Very well... We now have an alliance. Get me out of this cell and we'll start moving.

You couldn't believe this... If anyone asked you to work with traitors in the past, you would have shatter them for insulting you. But now that you yourself became one... It doesn't really matter who do you side with as long as you get something out of it.
Steven took a step foward towards the barrier. You wanted to warn him to not touch it but to your surprise, he was not being affected by it... At least not being affected with damage or pain. Instead it seems it was kinda tickling him.

Steven made a small hole in the barrier for you to crawl under it, allowing you to escape. Once you were out, Steven walked away from the barrier and stood right next to you.

Onyx: I can't believe I'm saying this but... Thanks.

Steven: You are welcome bud! Now, let's save our friends!

This was like the start of a bad joke. The gem that once leaded the armies of Homeworld working together with the hybrid son of the leader of the Crystal Gems...

Bad joke or not, the two of you shared one common objective and that was enough for both of you to cooperate. 

You were running ahead, leading Steven through the corridors of the ship.

Steven: You know were you are going?! 

Onyx: Not really! But it's better than staying still in one place! We'll eventually run into something-

You stopped running when you spotted a red gem inside one of the prison cells. It was... A Ruby? 

You never saw a single Ruby on this ship or with the Crystal Gems. Where did this one came from and why is she alone...? However, you were snapped out of your thoughts when Steven bumped into you.

Steven: H-Hey! Why did you stopped?

Onyx: Because of this...

You said while pointing at Ruby. Steven turned his gaze to her and needless to say, she had a very confused expression on her face. She was looking at Onyx and then turned to look at Steven... Then back at Onyx, only to look right back at Steven.

Steven: Are you okay?

Ruby: What is going on?!

Onyx: We are working together to escape. Join us or stay in that cell.

It was hard to tell what was going through Ruby's mind right now... She seemed to have many questions about all of this. But the voice of someone singing quickly became her main priority.

Steven: Someone is singing.

Ruby: Sapphire...

Onyx: Excuse me? There is no way a Sapphire is on this ship.

Ruby: Just help me get out of here! I need to find Sapphire!

This only puzzled you more... But there was no time to make questions. If the ship gets into hyperspace and makes it to Homeworld, there will be no way to escape to freedom.
After helping Ruby escape from her prison, the three of you were running through the ship. Ruby was trying to find the Sapphire that was singing while you and Steven were looking at each cell you came across in hopes of finding familiar faces... And you did found one... Lapis.
By some kind of move performed by fate, the Ruby leaded you and Steven to Lapis's cell. You were glad that she was not hurted but she... Still looked absolutely depressed. She was facing in the oposite direction of the barrier, staring at the wall. 

Steven/Onyx: Lapis!

Lapis: Steven... Onyx...?

Onyx: What are you waiting for? Open the barrier!

Steven: On it!

Lapis: Stop!

Lapis yelled while backing away from the barrier. Steven took a step back in surprise. Ruby, not wanting to waste time with this, just ran away to look for Sapphire on her own.

Lapis: I don't want your help! Things are bad as it is!

Onyx: And they are about to get worst if we don't get out!

Lapis: Onyx, once we are back at Homeworld they are going to decide what to do with us. Maybe if we do what they say then they might-

Onyx: If you do what they say, the will lock you in a prison worst than this one for the rest of eternity! We have to fight or else we will never be free again!

Lapis: Onyx, I can't fight them! I'm... I'm not like you...

Lapis went to the corner of her cell and stayed there in complete silence. Her spirit and confidence were too damaged after everything she went through to have a semblance of hope...
Steven was unsure of what to do with Lapis. He looked at you, hoping for some kind of answer.

Onyx: ...Let's go find your friends. We need to take control of this ship before it leaves Earth's solar system.

You didn't wanted to leave Lapis behind but... It was either stay with her and regret it later or complete the mission to later be able to truly help her.
Steven looked at you and nodded. Both went on the move again, sharing a feeling of regret for leaving Lapis behind in such state. 
While once again in the moves through the corridors, you two heard the voice of the Sapphire singing and decided to follow it. Both you and Steven had a close call of being spotted by Jasper and Peridot. But luckly for the two of you, they were kinda distracted with their own problems. You wanted to attack Jasper right now but you were not sure if Steven could handle Peridot or the ship... So you decided to wait for now...
After Jasper and Peridot left, you two walked to Sapphire's cell.

Sapphire: So it is true... You two are working together...

Steven: Huh?

Onyx: Sapphire's can predict the future. 

Steven: Oh! Like my friend Garnet!

Sapphire: Yeah... Just like her.

Steven helped Sapphire to get out of her cell by making a hole in the barrier. But once she got out, the three of you heard Ruby's voice in the distance. Sapphire grabbed Steven by the hand and then, she ran at full speed towards Ruby's voice. You followed them and once you caught up with them, you saw the Ruby and the Sapphire together... This felt familiar to you. You lived this once and the memory instally came back after you saw the Ruby and the Sapphire fuse together to form the gem with the afro.

Steven: Garnet?! You are a fusion?!

Onyx: Wait... So you are that gem from many years ago! The one that fused right in front of Blue Diamond!

Garnet: The cosmos is quite small, huh?

Both you and Garnet shared a moment of silence while looking at each other. Even though you and Steven agreed to work together, she had her rights to not trust you. But then, both of you got distracted by Jasper yelling in the distance.

Garnet: It's Jasper! Find the others and-

Onyx: No... You two go and stop this ship. JASPER IS MINE.

(Yes, sorry. No "Stronger than you" for this one... But you get to fight Jasper so... Let's call it even between us? :V )

You said with a tone full of hatred while cracking your knuckles. Your biggest desire of this whole trip was about to become true.

Steven: But how are we suppose to find the others?

???: Perhaps I could provide some assistance?

Everyone turned around to the source of the voice. For them, the one talking was a black Pearl. But for you... It was one of your closet friends.

Onyx: Ash!

Steven: You know her?

Ash: I saw how you helped Master Onyx to get out. So I turned off the security cameras while you two were running around the ship.

Steven: Oh... Thanks!

Ash: You are welcome. Now, quickly! Follow me! We don't have much time!

Both Garnet and Steven went to follow Ash while you stayed behind to face Jasper. It didn't took her too long to appear and you were glad for that... It means you won't need to wait any longer for some payback. 

Jasper glared at you while activating her gem destabilizer.

Jasper: Don't you have any shame?! You are helping Rose Quartz, Homeworld's greatest enemy, to escape! 

Onyx: Well, you did said I have no honor. Don't complain now if I play dirty to get away with what I want.

You said with a big smug in your face. This made Jasper even more furious, if that was somehow possible. The time for talking was over... Not like if you and Jasper had anything else to say to each other to express the mutual feeling of hate.
Jasper charged at you, throwing multiple lunges with her gem destabilizer. You were dodging each lunge while backing away, until you ducked under the last attack. Then, you covered your fist with flames and threw an uppercut at Jasper's chin, making her drop her gem destabilizer and making her stumble back in the process too.

Onyx: Sorry.

You stepped on the gem destabilizer that was now laying on the floor, snapping it in half. Now it was as useful as any stick.

Onyx: But if you challenge the champion then it will be under his rules.

Jasper rubbed her smoking chin a little. Instead of growing more furious, she grew a big smile on her face. This was a fight worth the effort...

Jasper immediately summoned her helmet and charged towards you. 

Jasper: Let's see who is the best warrior!

You started to run too towards Jasper, heading straight into hand to hand combate. The two of you recoiled your fists back and once you two were close enough to the other, both simultaneously clashed fists. This caused a shockwave that was heard across the entire ship. But then, Jasper threw a second punch in an attempt to knock you back. However, you counter this by also throwing a punch, clashing once again. Both you and Jasper took a step back before throwing a barrage of punches at the other. Each fist was only meeting another fist, both continuing to clash before they could conect against other zones like the face or the torso. 
Since this was going nowhere, you changed your strategy. You changed into your fire mode to surprise Jasper, making an opening to punch Jasper straight in the face. However, not only the hit didn't caused too much damage because her helmet. But Jasper also took the oportunity to grab your wrist, pull you up and slam you against the floor. She then tried to step on your head, but you managed to roll out of the way in the last second. 

Onyx: Is that all you got?!

Jasper: Funny! I was about to ask the same!

Jasper jumped into the air and recoiled her head back to throw a headbutt. You crossed your arms above your head, blocking her headbutt. The floor under you cracked a bit because of the strenght of the impact. Jasper was still pushing down with her head, but it was not enough to overwhelm you. But then both of you started to... Laugh?
Despite being a fight between two gems that hated each other... Both you and Jasper were enjoying this battle. It's not every day where two elite gems are able to fight without holding anything back...
But you broke the laughter by kneeling Jasper in the stomach, only for then to toss her into the air. Then, you threw a fireball at Jasper, causing an small explosion that cracked the glass of the ceiling. However, this was not enough to take Jasper down. She came out of the smoke cloud, heading down towards you like a rocket while covered in a yellow aura. You tried to block her attack in the same way as before. But this time, the force of the impact not only knocked you down, but it pushed you down through the ground along with Jasper.
This caused both you and Jasper to end inside the core room of the ship. You slowly got up from the floor and saw Jasper smiling with pride.

Onyx: I have to give you credit... You know how to hit hard.

You said before cracking your neck a little.

Onyx: But sadly for you... I can hit way harder.

You said before charging at Jasper. She threw a headbutt against you but to her surprise, you yourself blocked her attack by headbutting her helmet, making her stumble back. Then, you used your fire powers to quickly move around the entire room. Jasper was looking to all directions, trying to follow you with her eyes. But all she was able to see was a flaming blur.

Onyx: Behind you, slowpoke!

Jasper turned around, only to be meet by a punch on the stomach. She fell on her knees, but quickly got up. However, she suddenly was kicked behind her head, making her stumble foward.
Jasper crossed her arms, taking each punch and kick while thinking of what to do. She focused her senses and threw an spin kick behind her, effectively hitting you in the head. However, you rolled in the air and managed to recover to land on your feet.
Taking a note of your move, Jasper used the shape of the room on her favor. She quickly started to roll, convering her body with that yellow aura from before. Then, she quickly charged towards you to hit you with her helmet. You managed to roll out of the way, but Jasper was using the curved walls to maintain her momentum. Knowing that you had to put a stop to her strategy, you stepped hard on the floor, buring your feet inside the ground. You stood in position, getting ready to catch Jasper's charge. 
Thinking the momentum gained was enough, Jasper rolled straight at you to land a direct headbutt against your skull. However, you managed to catch her helmet in the right time. The strenght of her charge was dragging you back slowly. But after a few seconds, you managed to completely stop Jasper's charge. 

Onyx: NICE TRY!!!

You said before throwing Jasper away... Only to accidentally throw her against the core of the ship. The electricity of the core was shocking Jasper... But it was also causing the whole room to explode.

Onyx: Ohhhh... Crapbaskets.

(Meanwhile)

Ash was looking at the systems of the ship. Without the energy of the core, the whole ship was now being dragged by the Earth's gravitational field.

Ash: We are on a collision course towards Planet Earth!

Steven: What about Lapis and Onyx?!

Garnet: There is no time!

Ash heard Garnet and looked down in sadness... Before looking up with an expression full of determination. She quickly headed towards the door to leave the room and to look for you.

Steven: Where are you going?!

Ash: I must find Onyx! 

Steven: But-

Ash didn't waited. She left the room and started to run through the corridors... But it was too late.
The whole ship landed on the shore of Beach City, right next to Steven's home. The whole green hand exploded, leaving nothing but debris and green colored flames around. 

(Small Time Skip)

Lapis slowly opened her eyes... She survived the impact of the ship. But now she was trapped under a pile of steel in a very weakened state. She tried to push herself up, but the weight above her was too heavy... But suddenly, started to hear the sound of footsteps next to the pile where she was buried. She quickly got scared, not knowing who was outside. But then... She felt the pile of steel above her becoming more and more lighter until the last big piece of steel blocking her view was removed. Lapis looked up... And a big smile of happiness grew on her face.

Lapis: Onyx!

Onyx: H-Hey! I told you I would be back!

You said while stretching your hand for Lapis to grab. She gladly held your hand and you helped her to get up. Once Lapis was up, she almost knocked you back with a hug. 

Onyx: O-Ouch! Easy! A whole core room blew up in my face!

Lapis: Oh my stars! I'm so sorry!

Lapis quickly let go of you to not hurt you. You held the side of your stomach to ease the pain for a bit.

Onyx: Ugh... I still need to find Ash.

Lapis looked around for a moment and spotted Steven and his friends.

Lapis: There is Steven! Maybe he can help us find her!

Onyx: Alright... HEY! 

You shouted at Steven and the Crystal Gems. They turned to you but their reaction... Was not what you expected. They were yelling stuff at the same time, making it harder for you to understand them. They seemed to be worry for some reason.

Onyx: What are they sa-

You let out a gasp while feeling a sharp pain in your stomach. You looked down... Only to see a piece of sharp steel. You slowly looked behind you and you saw Jasper. She was still in one piece and just stabbed in the stomach you from behind.

Lapis: ONYX!!!

Lapis screamed in horror.

Jasper: You won that fight... Fairly.

Jasper spinned the piece of steel in your stomach to the side, making the pain even worst until your body couldn't take it anymore... Your physical form got poofed... Now your gem was laying on the floor...

Jasper: But I'm not losing the war...

Lapis tried to quickly pick your gem to fly away and escape. But Jasper stepped on her hand before she could grab your gem, making her scream in pain. Jasper then picked your gem and looked at it deeply.
Steven wanted to help, but Pearl and Amethyst were holding him back.

Jasper seemed to want to crush your gem with her hand. But to her surprise, someone hit her from behind with an steel pipe. It wasn't strong enough to hurt her but it did made her turn arouund. She saw an Ash full of bruises and scratches holding an steel pipe while taking deep breaths.

Jasper: Pearl?! What are you doing?!

Ash: What I should have done thousands of years ago! Now, give him back!

Ash tried to hit Jasper a second time. However, her brave actions proved to be futile in the end. Jasper just slapped her with enough strenght to knock Ash back towards a group of rocks. Ash didn't had the strenght to get up... But at least she felt happy for finally standing up against Jasper. Her only regret was not being strong enough to help Onyx...

Garnet: Jasper, stop it! It's over! You are outnumbered!

Jasper looked at Garnet in anger... But then an idea came to mind. Jasper lifted her foot off from Lapis's hand, only to pick her arm and lift her up.

Jasper: Lapis, fuse with me!

Lapis: W-What?

Jasper: You want to protect him, don't you?!

Jasper asked while showing your gem to Lapis.

Jasper: You want to take revenge on them for keeping you like a prisoner for thousands of years, don't you?!

Lapis then looked at the Crystal Gems... Jasper was not wrong about either of those points. She was still angry at the Crystal Gems and she also wanted to protect you.

Jasper: Come on... Just say yes~

Lapis remained quiet for a moment thinking of what to do. She then looked at your gem on Jasper's hand... It was Lapis's turn to protect you. 
Lapis stretched her hand towards Jasper to grab. Jasper grew an smile on her face after getting exactly what she wanted. The two of them started to dance until both of their gems began to blow, turning their bodies into light and merging them together. During their fusion, your gem fell on the sand.
Jasper and Lapis's fusion was successful. Now they were a new gem... Malachite.

But unfortunately, Jasper's plan had a single flaw... Lapis absolutely hated her. Lapis had more control than Jasper over their fusion and used this to chain Malachite with water chains. She then used those water chains to drag Malachite towards the bottom of the ocean... Lapis protected Steven, the Crystal Gems and you... And now, Jasper was going to experience being the prisoner...

Garnet: Jikes... They are really bad for each other...

Amethyst: So... Uh... What do we do with him?

Amethyst asked while pointing at your gem. 

Pearl: ...

Pearl started to walk towards your gem. When she was getting closer, summoned her spear. Steven and the others saw this and ran towards Pearl to stop her. Pearl hated you a lot... She couldn't forget the amount of friends of her that you shattered during the war... This was the perfect moment to take revenge...
But to Pearl's surprise, a black hand grabbed your gem, pulling it away from her.
She saw Ash holding your gem close to her chest while at the same time holding a sharp piece of steel, long enough to be a dagger, in her other hand. 

Ash: I will not let you... You will have to shatter me first.

Ash was taking deep breaths. She was in a bad shape and there was no way she could protect you in that condition. But that was not even going to stop her from trying. 

Pearl saw this and she... She just froze. That Black Pearl that helped them to escape is ready to die in order to protect the same monster that killed many of her friends thousands of years ago in the past. Pearl felt confused... How could someone be so devoted towards a monster? 

And yet... Pearl for some reason couldn't help but to see some of herself on Ash...

Garnet: Pearl... Enough fighting for today.

Garnet said while placing a hand on Pearl's shoulder.

Pearl: But... What should we do? We can't... We can't just...

Steven: Let's keep them in the house for now.

Pearl: What?! Steven, are you crazy?!

Steven: Pearl, look at them.

Steven said while looking at Ash and your gem.

Steven: Whatever you like it or not, they helped us and now they need help... We can't just leave them like this. Besides, we can keep an eye on them like that.

Steven slowly took a couple of steps towards Ash. Pearl was going to interfere, but Garnet held her back. 

Once close enough, steven stretched his hand for Ash to grab. Ash was unsure for a moment... But looking at the other options she had, accepting help from Steven was the best one. She dropped the piece of steel on the floor and grabbed Steven's hand.
Today the battles are over... However, both parties will have a lot to explain to each other once the infernal gem wakes up.
Let's only pray... That you don't burn the house in an attack of anger.

Anyway, I would like to ask you guys to help me with something. 
Later on at some point in the story, I would like to make Onyx fuse with other gems like Lapis and Ash for example. I do have some ideas... Just not really either possible names for the fusions or some good artworks.
If you guys have any suggestion for those two, I would gladly listen to it :3
