Your p.o.v

I never thought I'd fall for a human like Rose did. I was a gem, and a high class one at that. A Zultanite. I had never known any form of love. But... Then came the mailman. Jamie. He was so kind to me. Wrote me many many love letters and he would visit me every day. And I guess as time went on... I fell in love with him. At first I didn't know the feeling. I was scared that I was slowly being corrupted. But once I went to both Garnet and Steven, they explained. But anyways, we started bonding a lot more. I soon found out he loves drama, and he is quite good at it too. I'd never seen human drama before so it was most defiantly enjoyable. He had done a show with Steven, and I must say, it was the highlight of my day, maybe even my week.

I soon found myself not wanting to leave his side. I always went with Jamie on his mail runs and even on his days off, you would see me with him. It wasn't like we were doing anything romantic...the thing was, I haven't told him that I love him yet. But can you blame me? I just don't know how to. I was taught how to fight, not how to confess your love to a human. It was difficult. I had gotten close to telling him, many many times. But I would always choke up and as Steven calls it, 'get butterflies'. It was frustrating.

"My sweet, there you are!" I giggled as Jamie came running towards me. "Hello, Jamie. So nice of you to join me today." I had asked Jamie if he wanted to join me in training, thinking that I may be able to confess through something I'm more comfortable with. "Why of course! I would never pass off an opportunity to see you." He took my hand and kissed it gently, like a true gentleman. "Jamie stop it." I say, a little flustered. "Oh that reminds me!" Jamie rummaged through his little bag that he brought. "I got you this, as a token of my affection." He smiled kindly and handed me a box. "You really shouldn't have, Jamie. I-I.." Oh here we go. "I'm already your friend. You don't have to win me over." I'm hopeless. I'm really really hopeless. I need to just suck it up and tell him, before I hurt him even more.

"You like what you're seeing?" I smirked at Jamie. He nodded quickly, eyes wide at my fighting skills. Walking over to him, I threw my weapon off to the side and took a seat beside him. I was currently wearing jeans and a very very tight tank top. He looked so cute just watching me train. "You wanna try fighting?" Jamie's eyes widened. "Could you teach me?" He said with stars in his eyes. "Yes of course." Jamie jumped up and ran to the battlefield. "What...what do I do?" I laughed and walked over to Jamie. "Here, hold this." I handed him my double bladed scythe. "Oh dear...this is sharp." Jamie said nervously, while shaking a little. "Jamie, calm down, it's okay." I placed my hand on his when an amazing idea popped into my head. "No need to be scared." I walked up behind him, wrapping my arms around him, placing my hands on his. As weird as it sounded, he smells really good. And he's extremely warm, but that could be because of his massive blush. "W-what are you doing?" Jamie said, clearly nervous. "I'm teaching you." I said, my confidence going over the top. This is my chance! "Jamie, I have to tell you something." I backed away, leaving him standing there with my weapon. "Yes?" Jamie said, eyes sparking a little, a small breeze blowing through his hair. I froze up. He looked so perfect. "O-oh, I-I-I...uh...dammit..." I hissed. "What is it? What's wrong?" Jamie put a hand on my shoulder, dropping my weapon almost immediately. "J-Jamie...I-I, uh..." Here goes nothing. "I-I r-really re-really l-like y-y-you." My face was on fire, my nerves were out of control, I was shaking, I was freaking out. Jamie didn't say anything, he just looked at me in shock. "O-oh God I-I'm sorry..." I covered my face, not wanting Jamie to see my face or the tears coming out of my eyes. "No darling!" Jamie ran over to me and wrapped his arms around me. "I really like you too!" I looked up at Jamie, tears still fresh. "Y-you do?!" He nodded quickly. "Look at the gift I got you." He smiled widely. I said I would open it after training but...might as well open it now. I quickly ran over to the wrapped box.  I let a tear fall down my cheek as I see what Jamie had gotten me. "Do you like it..?" Jamie said from behind me. "Like it? I love it!" It was a locket, covered in gems, my gem to be exact, and inside was a picture of Jamie and I. "I'll wear it all the time." I smile so much my cheeks start to hurt. After putting it on myself, I turn around to face Jamie. "Now, it's time for training." Getting into my fighting stance, I see Jamie look at me in fear. "W-what?!" Jamie got on his knees and started begging. "Please spare me!" I started giggling. "No. Come on and fight me." He sighed dramatically and fell to the ground. "Come on, Jamie! I wanna train!" I tried pulling him up but, he didn't move. "No! I can't get up without a kiss from a beautiful maiden!" He placed a hand on his forehead and sighed again. While laughing, I bent down and pecked his lips. "There." Jamie smiled and got up quickly, not wanting to waste another minute. "Alright. I guess I'll train with you. But I will show no mercy!" He said in his acting voice, if that makes any sense. I walked over to him and kissed his nose.
