3rd person p.o.v

Peridot ran back all the way to the barn, and over to her giant robot. "If I remember correctly, when (Y/n) got her head stuck here then... GOT IT!" Peridot pulled out about 5-10 strands of hair. "Now, I need a gem... Where can I get a gem...?" After a couple minutes of thinking, Peridot realized where she could get a gem. She was getting (Y/n) back. And no one was stopping her.

He was the congregation's vagrant,
With an unrequited love.
When your passion's exaltation,
Then finding refuge is not enough.

"Steven, Steven!" Peridot ran into the temple at top speed. "What it is?" Steven asked. "I need a bubbled gem! If I combine (Y/n)'s DNA with a gem, I may be able to bring her back." Steven's eyes widen at her plan. "Peridot, those gems are corrupted! If this doesn't work, you wil-" Steven was cut off. "Steven, please. I need her back..." Tears started to flow from Peridot's eyes. "I love her Steven. And I need her."

She was the youngest of the family
And the last to be let go.
When they decided they would try to make it on their own.

The reason Peridot was such a mess about your death, was because you were the first person, well besides Steven, to accept her. Even if she has Steven, Peridot was still lonely and scared. Well, that was until you showed up.
Flashback
"(Y/n), this is Peridot. Peridot, this is (Y/n)." Peridot stared at the girl with wide eyes. "Hey, I'm going to be living here and helping with the drill. If you don't mind." (Y/n) flashed a kind smile. "U-ugh yeah. Sure." Peridot didn't know why she was acting like this. But, she didn't hate this feeling. It was about 4:30 in the afternoon, but it was cloudy out so it was hard to tell. "Hm, looks like it's gonna rain soon." (Y/n) said to no one in general. "Oh no..." Fear took over Peridot as she ran into the barn to hide from the upcoming storm. "Peridot?" (Y/n) walked into the barn to try and find the frightened gem. Looking over in the corner, (Y/n) found Peridot huddled up. "Hey, Peri it's okay. It's just rain, it won't hurt you." Peridot looked up at them. "You want a hug?" (Y/n) opened up her arms. Peridot just nodded and rushed to (Y/n). "It's okay. I'm here. And I won't leave, I promise."
"Peridot!? Peridot?!" Steven yelled at the green gem, trying to break her out of her own thoughts. "Oh sorry Steven, I was just thinking..."

"Well, I asked Garnet, and, we have a gem for you." Steven held out a black gem in a bubble. Peridot's eyes widened as tears pricked at the corners. Looking behind Steven, Peridot saw Garnet. Garnet smiled at her and gave a thumbs up. "Oh my, I need her hair." And with that, Peridot ran out of the house. "I can get my (Y/n) back. This will work."
Flashback
"Yo Peri! I got the food. You ready for movie night?" (Y/n) walked into the barn with popcorn, chips, and pizza. Even if Peridot didn't need food, she enjoyed it. Especially pizza. "Yes, Camp Pining Hearts: The Movie is all ready." Peridot said enthusiastically. "Alright we're all set." (Y/n) climbed up to the top to where the gem was. "You really do love Camp Pining Hearts, don't you?" (Y/n) laughs at Peridot and her obsession. "Yes I love it. But not as much as I love you..." Peridot blushed a dark green and hid herself. "Peri you're so cute. I love you too." Peridot poked her head out and faced the girl. "Y-you do?" A giant smile formed on Peridot's face. "Yup. Now, let's watch the movie you cutie." Peridot got up and rushed to the couch, (Y/n) following after her.

About 15 minutes into the movie, the main character's were making out. "Steven still hasn't explained what this is. I'm so confused." Peridot said while flopping on the girl beside her. "Well, why don't I show you what it is." Peridot tilted her head to the side in confusion. But before she could say anything, (Y/n) grabbed Peridot by the shirt and smashed her lips onto Peridot's. But because this was on Camp Pining Hearts, Peridot knew exactly what to do. Pinning (Y/n) under her, Peridot placed her hands on (Y/n)'s waist, and (Y/n) wrapped her arms around Peridot's neck. Unfortunately, the two had to part, because of (Y/n)'s need for air. "I love you, Peri."

Peridot had almost run into a pole because she was too deep in thought. It was memories like these that made Peridot happy to have come to earth. To her, (Y/n) was the greatest thing to happen to Peridot. Every time Peridot needed them, (Y/n) was there. Peridot wasn't someone that opened up to people that fast. But (Y/n) was different to her. That's why Peridot needed her back. With the barn in view, Peridot began to run faster.

When July became December,
Their affection fought the cold.
But they couldn't quite remember,
What inspired them to go.

Peridot had finally reached the barn. "Where is it, where is it, WHERE IS IT?!" The barn was a mess. In her frantic search for the strands of hair, Peridot had pretty much torn the barn apart. Then it hit her. Literally. A box of (Y/n)'s old stuff fell on Peridot's head, including a couple of her sweaters that Peridot has worn multiple times, about 4 books that Peridot made (Y/n) read before bed every night and a plastic bag with (Y/n)'s hair. Peridot grabbed the bag and ran. But not before grabbing one of (Y/n)'s sweaters. For some reason.
Flashback
"Hey... (Y/n?) You still awake? I can't sleep." Peridot sat up in the bed that her and (Y/n) shared. "Hm? What is it Peri?" Ever since Peridot and (Y/n) started dating, Peridot had started doing more human stuff. Like eating and sleeping. But unfortunately, with sleep, comes nightmares. And Peridot got quite a few of those recently. "Was it another nightmare?" With tears in her eyes, the gem nodded. "Awe Peri it's okay. Come here." Peridot crawled over to (Y/n), wrapping her arms around them and crying into their shirt. "What was it about this time?" (Y/n) started petting Peridot's hair, in an attempt to calm the gem down. "I-it was Jasper again. But this time, she was t-taking you away from me." Peridot managed to say in between sobs. "Peri, it's okay. I won't be taken away from you. And if anyone tries, I'll beat them up." Peridot laughed at (Y/n)'s attempt to cheer her up. "Now, it's late and I'm tired. So I'm gonna sleep. But it's okay, Jasper won't hurt me or you." Peridot nodded and buried herself in (Y/n)'s chest, almost instantly, she fell asleep. "I love you, Peri."
"I love you too, (Y/n)"

And it was beautifully depressing,
Like a street car named Desire.
They were fighting for their love that had started growing tired.

"Peridot where did you get that sweater?" "The details aren't import, Pearl." Peridot walked over to Steven who had the gem in his hand. "Steven, if you don't mind, I need your healing spit too." Steven nodded. Peridot wasn't the only one that wanted (Y/n) back. Steven liked having her around. When (Y/n) ended up dying, Steven couldn't help but feel sad. That's why right now, he wants to do whatever it takes to bring her back. "Steven, if you use your healing spit with (Y/n)'s hair, the gem will most likely heal, while also merging her DNA with the gem. Are you ready Steven?" Steven nodded again. "Get the spit ready, I'll pop it in...

1..."
Peridot dropped the gem gently as the monster started to form. "NOW STEVEN!" Steven rubbed his hand on the gem before it could form. For a moment, the gem did nothing. It just sat there. But then it started floating. "Is this it? Did we do it?"

Your p.o.v
Darkness. For miles, that's all I could see. Until suddenly, I saw a light. I closed my eyes, once I opened them, I noticed I was in the temple. To be exact, the room table had all the gems. Looking down, I see my skin wasn't a (S/C) tone. It was a grey-ish colour, my hair was dark black, and I had a black gem on the back of my hand.
"(Y-Y/n)..?"

When money lost momentum,
And the bills were piling high
Then the smile had finally faded,
From the apple of their eye.

Looking up, I saw the Crystal Gems and Steven, starring at me in awe. "Peri..? How? How am I alive?" I say in shock. "I brought you back. With some of the hair you left when you got your head stuck in my robot." Peridot walked up to me and smiled. "How do you have all your memories?" Pearl asked. "Quite frankly, I don't care." I smile at them. Looking over at Garnet, she smiled at me. "If you're a gem now, does that mean you're part of the Crystal Gems?" Steven ran up to me and asked. "Heh, I guess I am." Steven's eyes lit up. "Welcome to the team (Y/n)." Garnet said. I look over at Peridot, who had tears in her eyes. "No no Peri why are you crying? This is good, I'm back." Peridot wrapped her arms around my neck and didn't let go. "I know. I'm crying because I'm so happy to see you." I laugh at the green gem. "How long was I gone?" Peridot sniffled and looked me in the eyes. "About 3 months." Smiling, I ruffled her hair. "Well, I'm glad to be back."

They were young and
independent,
And they thought they had it planned.
Should have known right from the start
You can't predict the end.

"Well what happens if the gem takes over and (Y/n) gets corrupted?!" Pearl started yelling. "Let them have this Pearl. If Rose was back, you'd be the same." I guess Pearl got really mad, 'cause she just stomped off. "Peri, I think you need to let me go." I laughed. "No. I'm not going." Peridot hugged me like if she let go, I was going to leave again. "Fine. We can stay like this. Just for a little tho." Then suddenly, Steven comes running over. "I missed you too!" I smile at him. "Well, I guess it's good that I'm back."

Soon enough, both Garnet and Amethyst join in on the group hug. "Ah being, suffocated, need air." I faked as a joke. "(Y/n), you're a gem now. You don't need air." Garnet said, laughing at my knowledge for what I need and don't need as a gem. "Well how was I suppose to know? I've been alive as a gem for like, 2 minutes." They all started laughing. It felt good. It felt good to be a part of this family. As a gem. "Oh, doesn't this mean we can fuse now Peri?" Ever since Peridot and I started dating, I wanted to fuse with her. "Ah y-yes. We can now. I just have never fused before..." I giggle at the deep green blush on Peridot's face. "Well I haven't either." Everyone, except Peridot, parted from the group hug. "We'll try it later." I winked at Peridot and her face turned even darker. We all started laughing. Who knew Peridot could get so flustered?
