Prompt: 21, "Stop that, it tickles!"

Warnings: Swearing, pure Zircon, a wife, exposing Yellow Diamond, a pure fluffy chapter

Your p.o.v

"You are to watch this Zircon. If you let her go, you will be shattered." Yellow Diamond growled at me. "Yes, my Diamond!" I saluted. Once Yellow Diamond was gone, I popped the bubble the Blue Zircon was in. Hey, I wasn't scared of being shattered. It wasn't long until she started reforming. "I'm sorry, my Diamond!" Zircon yelled, thinking that I was Yellow Diamond. Imagine that...being a big scary Diamond. That would bs so much fun! "Shh! We're going to get caught. Let's get out of here. I already have an escape pod ready." I smiled, making eye contact with the blue gem. I held out my hand for her, but she didn't take it. All Zircon did was awkwardly shift in place, just looking at my hand. "Y-you freed me?" I nodded quickly. "You don't know me and I don't have much time to explain. We have to hurry." I grabbed her hand and ran, our lives depended on it.

Maneuvering through the halls, we had finally made it to the pod. "Stay quiet. The coast is clear." I jumped into the tiny space craft, helping Zircon after she had tripped while getting in. "Hold on tightly, I'm gassing this thing." A small squeak of surprise was heard from the blue lawyer. "No seriously, hold on." Without another word, we flew out of Homeworld. Only problem was, we were spotted and there were multiple other gem ships after us. "Do you know how to fly?!" I yelled, angrily trying to throw the other gem ships off our tail. "N-no!" I could hear the fear in her voice. Well this is great, I scared her already. "You're a Zircon, analyze how the hell we get out of here!" Zircon ran up to me, looking out the window at all the different gem ships. "There is a 99.9 percent we won't make it out of here....W-we're going to be shattered!" Realizing Zircon wouldn't be able to help, I push her away gently. She fumbled, then fell on her ass. I'm sorry please don't hate me. "I'm taking that 0.1 percent." Taking the sharpest turn downwards, I managed to lose two pods after they crashed into each other. "Two down, three to go! What's the percentage of us making it out alive?!" I glances back at Zircon, who looked very dizzy. "A-about 79.92 percent." I felt bad for her. Zircon didn't know what was going on, I forced her into this. But hey, with her, we can stop Yellow Diamond and save Homeworld. "That's more than enough! Just gotta...." I flew straight into a large group of meteors. "Are you out of y-your mind?!" Zircon pulled on my arm, terrified for her life. She looks pretty cute when she's sca- enough of this. I can think about Zircon later. "Yup." I felt her cling to my arm for comfort, causing myself to almost lose focus and crash. Almost. I flew around every meteors quickly, managing to throw two more ships off. "We're almost out of here!" The last pod was starting to slow down, for it got hit a few times by some small rocks.

I started driving, fast, towards a giant meteor. "W-we're going to crash!" Zircon tried pulling me away from the controls. "Just trust me!" Before we could come on contact with the miniature planet, I flew up, getting away from the last pod. "Y-you did it....You really did it!" I spun around in my chair and relaxed. "You're welcome." Zircon smiled at me, but she looked like she would pass out at any moment. But damn, she is so cute. "Jade 0X-5673, pilot and guard, at your surface." I did a little bow, cause first impressions do matter, and smiled. She opened her mouth to introduce herself, but I cut her off. "I know who you are, Zircon. And can I say, it's great to finally talk to you." Zircon's face immediately went 50 shades darker. Okay maybe not 50 shades but she was blushing pretty hard, okay? I honestly just wanted to tackle her into a hug and tell her how everything's going to be okay. She looked like she needs a hug. "H-how...do you know who I am?" She rubbed her forehead and paced around the room, trying to crack the code on how I knew her. I tried hiding a small blush. There was just something about her that made my stomach go crazy and made me lose focus on like, everything. "I'm a rebel spy. I gotta know everyone and everything." Zircon looked at me fearfully. Oh no....this isn't good. "Y-you are?! What do you want from me?! Where are you taking me?!" She started flipping out, trying to get to the controls so she could fly me back to Homeworld and turn me in. I forcefully shoved her away, knocking her onto the ground, and I immediately regretted it. "Yes I am! We're going to Earth, because you know about what Yellow Diamond did! I took her hand carefully and brought her back up. "You're officially a wanted gem. Congrats." Zircon's eyes widened. She did not look happy. "Woah just calm down-" I was cut off by her yelling. "I-I'm a-" Before she finished, her form dissipated, most likely from shock. "Awe, Zircon.... No need to be like that. You have me. I'll protect ya."

After a day or two, Zircon had not reformed. It had gotten pretty lonely without her. I'd still talk to her, but she wouldn't answer, which was kind of nice. I always would zone out while talking to her, not knowing what I said until after it left my mouth. "You know...I'd always admire you from afar...." I said, drawing little circles on her gem. "You always looked so stressed and nervous....and it was pretty cute. So when I heard you'd be defending Rose Quartz, I had to see it....So I snuck in to watch you work. And wow, you're something else. But I love it..." I started panicking. She could hear me and I just confessed my love to her after 3 days in space. I'm so dead.

The next thing I knew, Zircon was reformed and standing in front of me. "Stop that, it tickles!"
"Stop what?" Zircon tried to be angry with me, but it didn't work out too well. "Stop rubbing my gem...It feels weird..." She turned away from me, hiding her face. "O-oh...sorry..." I hope she doesn't remember what I said to her- "And...about what you said to me..." Shit. Oh god I'm going to be yelled at and I'm going to start crying cause she doesn't like me and I'm so dead... "Just, forget it. Don't even think about it..." I spoke in a soft but harsh voice. Oh god why did I do that. This is turning into a mess of emotions. I just want to express how much I like her but I keep on messing this up! Besides, she barely even knows me... "We still have a long way to go....get comfortable...."

~Months later~

"Shit! They found us!"
A few months have passed and boy, where they a confusing bunch. Zircon had been acting very weird. I've tried to have a normal conversation with her, but she always gets so flustered. "Watch out!" Zircon yelled out, pulling me out of my thoughts. I regained focus, but it was really too late.
"We've been hit, we're going down!" We started falling towards a small planet, terrified. Not knowing what else to do, I grabbed Zircon and held her close. "Both of us probably won't survive this..." She started tearing up, causing my heart to break slightly. "D-don't say that...." I chuckled. "I'll say whatever I want, cause I'm dying and you're not. So if I can say whatever I want, I guess I'll say this..." Leaning in, I pressed my forehead against hers. "I love you..."

When I woke up, I was in my gem, regaining my strength. But then, I realized, if I'm still alive, in my gem, reforming, then what happened to Zircon?!
My stressing was soon calmed when I felt something rubbing my gem in a soothing way. As quickly as I possibly could, I reformed. "Zircon?!" I clearly was not healing for long enough, for I fell on my face as soon as my feet hit the ground. "Are you alright?" Her soft voice said. "I am now that I know you're okay...." I rolled onto my back, looking at her. On whatever planet we were on, it was very sunny. The sun was right behind her, giving her a sort of angelic look. "Am I dead? Cause I'm 99 percent sure I'm looking at an angel right now." I chucked and sat up, placing my hand over her's. Zircon looked at me with wide eyes as her cheeks grew to be a very dark blue. "I-I-I...uh...um..." She looked around awkwardly, but her gaze always went back to me. "Just shut up and kiss me you dork." As soon as those words left my mouth, Zircon basically tackled me to the ground, locking her lips with mine. It was obvious she didn't really know what to do, but she tried. I laid down on my back with my hands on her waist. Her hands were on my cheeks, pulling me closer to her. My cold lips melted against her steaming hot ones.

My hands carefully slid from her waist to her butt and Zircon bolted up and off of me, a stuttering and gasping mess. "Sorry, I couldn't help myself..." I giggled lightly, causing her to sweat. "W-we shouldn't do t-this here...it's so scary and I-I'm worried we'll be found..." She stood up and took my hand, pulling me up beside her. "You're right. Let's find somewhere a bit more....private." I winked and started walking, intertwining my fingers with hers. "I never got t-the chance to say it...b-b-but..." Taking a deep breath, she squeezed my hand. "I l-love you too...." I lifted her hand up and kissed it.

"Good. And don't worry. Whenever you're in trouble, I'll be there to protect you."
