Your p.o.v

Isn't it weird how one day, you are fine, happy, loving; But then the next day you are crushed, depressed, heartless? That's my life on one sentence. Now you could tell me I'm over reacting, doing this for attention, or anything else. I've heard it all before from everyone. My family, my friends, all of the city. I live in Beach City. Right near Steven and the Crystal Gems. Steven will sometimes come over to my house to say hi and try to cheer me up. But everything is hopeless. I had become friends will all of them after I helped out Pearl. Long story short, I ended up falling in love with her, she never found out and I will never get to tell her how I feel. Depressing right? But that isn't the only reason I'm depressed. I just am, I can't explain it. I had always been a little depressed, but now it's in full swing. Attempts at suicide everywhere. I tried over dosing... Didn't work.
I tried slitting my wrists... Didn't work.
I had tried everything but one thing. And that's where I am now. On a cliff, standing over the beach and Stevens house, going over all of my life.

I remember that one time that I went on a mission with the gems and I almost died. But Pearl saved the day. Again. I can't forget how beautiful she looked that day. Her hair was perfect as always and her eyes just sparked. She was like a goddess. It's ridiculous though. I can't believe I fell that hard for a gem. Even if we did get together, she would out live me. But I don't even think she would care about me to much. She has been closed to so many others. She is still in love with Stevens mother who died 14 years ago. And it breaks my heart every time Pearl talks about Rose. Well when I'm gone it won't hurt anymore.

That one time Pearl fell asleep. It was the cutest thing. She looked so peaceful like always. But then Pearl started dreaming... About her... That was the night Steven found out about my huge crush on Pearl. He wouldn't stop bugging me about it. Steven was just to excited for some reason. Maybe because he thought he could actually get us together? Was it because he knew Pearl needed to move on from Rose? Who knows... After that, Steven fell asleep and I just sat there, starting at her. It was sort of creepy but, Pearl told me that she watches Steven sleep all the time so, what's the big deal? I remember that night so well. I remember brushing her cheek with the side of my hand, how Pearl woke up because of that and how she cuddled up beside me in her sleep. Those were some of the only good memories I have had for the past 4 weeks.

That one time we sat on the beach and just talked. That was probably the greatest memory I have with her. She was crushed about Rose again so I helped her. Pearl told me what she had problems with. Not just with Rose, but all of her problems. How she felt like nothing, how she is just a defective gem, how she isn't loved by anyone. I helped her that night. She wasn't a defective gem to me. She was perfect. I just wish I told her that. If I did I probably wouldn't be here.  I felt a tear roll down my face. After everything I have gone through, I'm just throwing it all away. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.
"(Y/n)!"
I turn around to see Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst.

"H-hi guys." I say with my voice cracking a little. "We got your note. W-why?" Pearl said while stepping closer to me. "You really couldn't tell? I've been miserable for the past couple weeks. There is only one thing that has kept me going. But I realized they don't care about me like I care about them..." I look to the ground to avoid Pearls glaze. "Who is it?!" I look up at the gems. "It's you Pearl..." Everything starts to blur from tears. "But you're still in love with Rose!" Tears start streaming down my face. "You'll never love me back and it hurts! I can't take it!"

Pearl looked at me in shock. I could tell this wasn't the best thing she has ever heard. "Listen (Y/n) step away from the cliff and we'll figure all of this out." Garnet said while trying to calm me down. "Garnet, I think it would be best if we left P and (Y/n) alone." Amethyst said while walking up to Garnet. Garnet just nodded and walked off with Amethyst. "(Y-y/n)? When did this start?" Pearl just stayed frozen in place. "I can't even remember..." I smile a little. "Just for the past couple weeks, all that I have though about is you." I look up at Pearl to see her with a dark blush oh her face. "I'm very flattered b-but-" "But what?! You don't love me back?!" Tears started streaming down my cheeks. "N-no I was going to say this isn't the place to be saying that!" This time Pearl had tears in her eyes. "Just come over here. I can help you..." Pearl held her arms out for a hug but, it just hurt to much. "No I'm sorry..."

I stepped back more.

Until I fell.

"(Y/n)!" Pearl ran over to try and grab my hand. It didn't work. So I just closed my eyes, never to wake up again.
3rd person p.o.v

Pearl jumped off the cliff to get to (Y/n). Right before she hit the ground, Pearl caught you. Sand flew everywhere and there was a huge thud. "P-please be ok! Don't leave me too!" Pearl started crying. A lot. Soon enough, Garnet, Amethyst and Steven came running over. "Pearl, is (Y/n) ok?" Steven said, fearing that one of his friends could be dead. "I-I don't know Steven..." Pearl had started shaking for multiple reasons, from fear, because she was crying to hard, because she felt angry. Angry that she couldn't save the love of her life. "Please (Y/n)..." Pearl said in between sobs. Garnet and Amethyst were also pretty sad about this. But not as much as Steven and Pearl.

"Pearl... She's gone..." Garnet said. "No she's not! She can't be! I-I-I..." Pearl couldn't get her words out. "I love you..." It came out all cracked. "Garnet, Amethyst. We should leave Pearl." Steven grabbed their hand and dragged them away from the tragedy. Pearl was mumbling something when Steven walked up. "Do you think I could heal her?" Steven sat beside Pearl. "No..." Pearls beautiful blue eyes were now bloodshot, her hair was no longer perfect, but messy, and her clothes were covered in sand. Steven put his ear to (Y/n)'s chest to see if there was a heart beat.

There was.

"Pearl! She's still breathing! She's alive!" Pearl perked up at Stevens words. "T-there is?! (Y/n), please wake up!" Pearl started shaking (Y/n)'s shoulders a little. Then, her eyes opened. "Oh thank goodness you are alright! Do you know how much you scared me?! I thought I lost you too..." Pearl wrapped her arms around (Y/n) and brought her into a giant hug. "D-don't leave me again." Pearl cried into the girls chest. "I love you, (Y/n)..." Pearl said in between her shaky breaths and cries. "I love you too, Pearl..." She kissed the pearls forehead and returned the hug. Soon, Pearl looked into (Y/n)'s eyes and they kissed. It was sweet and short. But Steven was freaking out saying they had to get married as soon as possible. The human and gem parted after a couple seconds and  laughed at Steven. They just sat there. In the sand, with each other. That's all they could every have wanted.
