His entire body hurt so badly, like it had been pounded by the thousand war hammers of the dwarves. Erik struggled to get onto all fours; his ears were ringing as he clenched his fists... What happened to him? He tried to think back; the storm... The storm must have knocked them off course during their voyage and sent them overboard. Struggling to his feet and being weighted down by his heavy chain mail armour; Erik looked around, finding himself on a calm beach by the endless blue ocean. "Where... Where am I?" Erik asked himself, as he observed his surroundings in confusion. He suddenly noticed a small town nearby; "A village!! Perhaps the local chieftain can tell me where I am!" He said happily as he ran towards the town; when he reached the edge of Beach City, Erik noticed a few things wrong with getting his hopes up... For one; he could see cars driving around the streets and secondly, he could see people using various forms of modern technology such as cameras and mobile phones. "W... What is this madness?!" Erik asked himself as he walked down the street in a state of shock, glancing at the various forms of technology around him. Next thing he knew; he was standing inside the donut shop, "Welcome to the donut shop! How can I help you?" Asked a voice, Erik looked at the girl behind the counter before walking up to her with his hand on his sword hilt; there was silence for a few minutes before the door opened again; "Hi Sadie!" Said a cheerful voice, Erik turned to see a young boy wearing a pink star T-Shirt walking up to the counter.

"Hi Steven!" The girl called 'Sadie' replied cheerfully; "Who's this?" Steven asked, gesturing to Erik. "Ah! Greetings young one! Allow me to introduce myself... I am Erik Dragonsword, Norway's greatest warrior!" The Viking said; "Wow!!!" Steven said, his eyes wide with curiosity; "I have sailed the seas to distant lands and fought many battles, all in the name of Odin!" Erik added. "Who's Odin?" Steven asked in confusion; Erik was taken aback by the boy's reaction, "You do not know of Odin, the All Father and king of Asgard?!". Steven shook his head; Erik sighed as he began to tell the many legends of his land... Stories of Odin and Thor, of the trickster Loki and of Asgard. "Wow!!! So we really live on a tree?!" Steven asked in shock as he and Erik were walking along the beach; "Of course, now let's see if we can find my fellow warriors before-." Erik started; "STEVEN!!!" Shouted a female voice, the Viking turned to see Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl standing behind him. "And you are?" Erik asked; just as the three strangers suddenly summoned weapons from their gemstones, "What in Odin's name?! Who are you?!" Erik asked, drawing his own weapon; "We are the Crystal Gems..." Said Pearl, "And we won't let you hurt Steven!"
