(JADES POV)

I watched as the light from the warp pad faded back into the dreary grayness of the kindergartens lifeless sky. As I looked up at the sky I couldn't help but remind the times that I am part of it, I shifted my wings uncomfortably and turned back around to go into the cave.

I made my way towards the make-do fire pit I set up and sat on my haunches, I stared and the pitiful amount of coal and ashes in the small hole. I took a deep breath and brought up the fire that I was containing into my throat, I aimed it at the pit and opened my mouth. The fire started to ignite the coal and spark into flames, I closed my mouth and brought up my left hand to my throat and ran my talons down, the fire always slightly hurt my throat afterwards so this is what I did to sooth the pain. I put my talons down and once again looked back at the flames, they casted a light around the cave that made it seem more.....well homely and alive.

I laid down and tucked my arms underneath me, my wings neatly folded, and my tail coiled around my body. As I looked into the fire it sparked memories of when I was in Dragoina and free to be what I am now.....

A dragon!

I rested my head on cool dirt of the cave floor, I closed my eyes and the fires silhouette danced around in my mind.

(Beginning of memory)

Screaming

Pain

Suffering

That's all I could remember from when I was kidnapped.

Then.....Nothing

It all stopped

I reluctantly opened my eyes, as my vision cleared I saw the figures of three creatures whispering to one another.

"Look she's up!" A male brown figure observed, "No shit! Knucklehead!" Remarked a male gold and dark green figure, "Guys knock it off!" Commanded a red figure that sounded like a girl.

I shook my head and placed a hand to my forehead and let out a groan, "Where am I? What happened? Who are you?" I questioned without looking up. A hand was placed on my shoulder, My head shot up and I was face to face with a girl that had crimson red eyes, long black hair, red wings, a tail and two horns sprouting from on top of her head. I looked at her with fear, She must have noticed because she quickly gave me a kind smile, "My names Alex!...What's your name?" She asked politely, I cleared my throat and somewhat regained my courage back, "Jade....My name is Jade!" I confidentially answered her.

"Nice to meet you Jade!" She took my by my hand and helped me sit up from the table I was put on, something didn't feel right, I looked at my free hand and let out a shocked gasp, it was covered in Jade green scales and bandages were wrapped around my middle and ring fingers all the way up to my elbows, I let go of Alex's hand and studied that one. I was the same thing only the bandages stopped where my gem was located on the front of my left forearm, I put my hands to my face and studied it with my fingers, it too was covered in scales, I looked around and my eyes widened as they landed on a pair of wings and a long scale covered tail.

I felt like I was gonna barf, I felt my legs turn to jello and Alex and the two other males were looking at me funny. I began to sweat like crazy, " What the hell.....Did they do to me?!?!?!?!" My voice cracked as ran my fingers through my hair. "We have reasons to believe that a group of HomeWorld gem took you and combined dragon DNA with your gem" Answered the gold and dark green dragon.....Wait.....DRAGON!!!!!!"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" I screamed as I stepped backwards and walked into the table. "WHAT!!!!WHAT DID I DO!!!!" He shouted, "You might have scared her Logan!" Calmly commented the brown Dragon, "Yeah well you might scare her too Bash!" Logan fired back at him. They then started to bicker with each other.

Alex stepped between me and them and rolled her eyes, "Don't mind them their idiots!" She chuckled and sat on the table next to me. "S-So your one too?" I questioned, She looked at me and smiled "Yep....And half gem! Just like you!" She pointed out happily, she held out her hands, imbedded in both palms of her hands were red Crimson gems. I looked at them in awe, she placed her hands by her sides and looked at me, "So what are you gonna do with me?" I asked, "If you want we can take you back to our home planet and train you to become a dragon warrior!" She offered, I smiled and was about to say yes, then I realized that I have family here and they probably think I'm dead...and there was no home for me to go back too......So my best bet was to go with these dragons and for them to show me to be like them!

"Ok....Only on condition though!" I mischievously said, "And what might that be?" Alex asked curious for my trade. "If I am to become a dragon warrior.....I need to be trained with honor!" I stated boldly.

"Sure thing!....I have a feeling that we're gonna be good friends Jade!" Alex said as she hopped off the table and out of the laboratory, Bash quickly followed and Logan turned back and gave me a friendly grin, I walked over to the exit and he followed me, "Your gonna love Dragonia!" Bash said as he got on his all fours and opened his wings, Alex nodded at me and did the same. Then Logan, I looked at each one of them and embarrassedly said "Um...How do you fly?"

(End of memory)

I was jolted awake as I heard a loud clap of thunder from above, I lifted my head and looked out the caves entrance and saw that it was a pouring rain, I focused back on the fire and calmed myself, I smiled at the memory of how I first met Alex, Bash, and Logan.

I kept them in mind as I laid my head back down and drifted off into a dreamless sleep
