(????'s POV....I'm pretty sure you can guess it tho!)

I woke up with barely any light entering into the cave I've taken refuge in. I picked my head up from my hands and adjusted my eyes to the light. I tilted my head every which way so that I could hear if any of those gem,mutant, creature things decided to walk ever so foolishly into my territory.

I heard nothing and decided to go back to sleep.

(STEVEN'S POV)

As I walked around the city I could not stop thinking on how there were more gems out there!

I've must have been in a deep thought because as soon as I knew it I was already back at the temple. I walked up the steps and entered the temple.

It wasn't even 5 minutes until Garnet came out of her room and called the rest of the gems, heck even Peridot! Garnet stood on the warp pad with her signature calm and collected look on, I saw Pearl and Amethyst enter the room from the door  and stand beside Garnet. Peridot crept out of the bathroom and stood by me, "I've just detected some disturbance in the Kindergarten....Doesn't seem to be anything major but we can't let our guard down!" Garnet reported, Pearl and Amethyst nodded their heads and looked at me. "You coming little dude?" Amethyst asked me, "Yeah!....But what about Peridot" I questioned, "She can come along too" Garnet said calmly. "ALRIGHT!!!!" Amethyst cheered as Peridot and I both walked onto the warp pad.

The Kindergarten looked empty.....more than usual. There seemed to be an eerie atmosphere around it, and I didn't like it one bit!

Amethyst groaned "Garnet this is gonna take all day!....Especially if we don't know what we're looking for!" Amethyst complained. Garnet looked at her and nodded her head "Let's split up.....Peridot with me, Pearl and Amethyst....and Steven your gonna look by yourself" Garnet said. "ALONE!!!!" Pearl screeched, "Yes Pearl, he'll be fine by himself.....Right Steven?" Garnet asked me, "Absolutely!!!!I got this!" I reassured them. I turned away from them and started to walk away.

I walked far enough so that they could no longer see me or hear me, I can't believe they actually trust me enough to do this! I thought. I put my hand on one of the giant slopes that had the exit holes on it, More gems.... I began to wander around again and study all of the holes to see if any gems were left, there wasn't though.

***************Le time skip of 30 minutes of wandering around ************

I turned a corner and continued to walk, I then heard noises that sounded all too familiar. I franticly spun around trying to figure out where they were coming from. Nowhere. I slowly began to look up, and I felt my heart skip a beat, there they were!

Three gem mutants coming down from the tops of the slopes, and they didn't look too happy! I began to run like a mad person, I could hear their terrible screeches behind me. I quickly began to find a place where I could hide, There!!! I saw a cave about 30 feet away from me that see,That seemed to be safe. I sprinted over to it and jumped inside.

I face planted into something soft, which wasn't good. I slowly took my face away from the surface and studied it. The lighting was terrible here so I couldn't make out most colors and objects.It was covered in Jade green scales, as I began to move my hands over it, it began to move. It slowly got up on its legs and stretched what seemed to be wings, it lashed its tail slowly and dangerously close to me. I looked up to its head, I could faintly see it's eyes where still closed but could barely see the smoke that arose from its nostrils. I took a step back to the mouth of the cave out of fear that this thing No.....This Dragon!!!!!! I corrected myself would possibly eat me.

It's eyes finally opened, they shone a magnificent sky blue that seemed to shine with curiosity. It turned its head towards me and let out It slight growl, I took another step back, I was so focused on the dragon that I totally forgot why I was chased here! I heard the gem mutants right behind me their screeches sounded like they came out of the depths of the underworld. Then something happened that I did not expect.

The dragon gently pushed me aside with its tail and let out a mighty roar to the mutants, the roar shook the ground and I had to cover my ears. The mutants let out a equally challenging screech back at the dragon, the dragons throat
then glowed a brighter green as it let smoke billow from its nose, it let out a huge fireball that killed and poofed one of the mutants and sent the other two heading for the hills. I tried to comprehend what just happened and catch my breath in one.

The dragon let out a triumphant snarl as it focused its attention back on me. I could see that it had scar over a and under its left eye and had green hair accompanied by two sleek and long black horns, I quickly backed up deeper into the cave, Wrong direction! I scolded myself. I felt my back hit a rock wall, so that meant I was cornered, I looked back to the dragon and began to sweat, the mighty creature took a step towards me then quickly took a step back. I lifted its head up and cocked it to the right side curiously, I stared at it wide-eyed and started to sweat even more. It raised an eyebrow at me as if to say 'Really?', it then gave a muffled growl to me, I silently prayed that it wouldn't eat me. It gave a surprised look and scratched its head with its right hand....talon...thing, it picked its ears up a bit as if it thought of something.

I squeezed my eyes closed and prepared for the worst, I picked my arms up and put them in front of my face to act like a shield.

"Um......H-hi!"

It sounded like a person, I slowly took my arms down and opened my eyes. The dragon was no longer a dragon, but a girl!
