(STEVEN'S POV)

I woke up with the sun in my eyes. I had to squint my eyes so I'm not blinded, I slowly sat up in my bed and looked around, nobody was up yet "Awesome first one up!" I said quietly to myself. I got out of bed and got ready for the day.

I put on my usual pink t-shirt with a gold/yellow star on it, jeans and pink flip flops. I slowly made my way down the stairs so I wouldn't make a sound, which was a little successful. I peered over to the door that lead to Garnet's, Amethyst's, and Pearl's rooms. I slightly hoped it would open and someone would come out, so I wouldn't be lonely, but it didn't. I let out a sad sigh as I made my way to the kitchen to get something to eat. As I made my way to the fridge, out of the corner of my eye I saw a flash of something shiny reflect off one of the kitchen lights I just turned on. I looked up and tried to see if I could spot it again, I saw something shiny flash again, it was located by the door that lead to everyone else's rooms.

I walked over to the giant door and peered at the star at the top of it, the star contained a rose quartz, pearl, amethyst, ruby, and sapphire at each of the corners. But the flash of light was gone, I inspected the star closely and saw that it had a bump right by the middle of the star. The bump seemed to be painted over with a light blue paint and was a tiny bit chipped, I couldn't reach the star so I look around for something to stand on.

I walked over to the kitchen counter and picked up the stool closest to me, I brought it back over to the door and placed it down. I got up on the stool and studied the bump very closely, the paint seemed to be chipping of from the bump so it revealed a tiny spot of a green rock. What is it? I questioned myself, I started to peel off the paint from the stone to completely expose it.

It took me a while to get the paint off, but thankfully no one opened the door and saw me standing on the stool. I imagined Pearl saying or rather screaming 'OH MY STARS!!!!!!STEVEN GET DOWN FROM THERE YOU COULD HURT YOURSELF!!!!!' I giggled quietly to myself, I finally peeled of the last piece of paint and saw that the rock was no ordinary rock, but a gem. A green rectangular gem! Between the ruby and sapphire gems, I racked my brain to try and figure out what kind of gem it was, I looked like an emerald but it lacked an emerald's shine. This gem was a bit on the dull side but still could give off a fantastic shine, I pulled my head back so that I could see most of the star, I noticed that there were more bumps like the green one before, 3 more to be exact. What aren't the gems telling me? I decided I was gonna ask the gems later, I slowly got off the stool and placed it back to its original placement.

I walked over to the fridge and got out a leftover doughnut that Amethyst didn't eat. I chowed down on it and made my way over to the couch.

As I made my way over to the couch I saw the door open up to reveal a beautiful looking women that had glasses on and a cubed afro, she was tall and slender and her name was Garnet. "Good mornin' Steven" she said with her usual calm and laid back tone, "Good morning Garnet!" I said cheerfully. Garnet made her way over to me and ruffled up my hair, I chuckled, "Sleep well?" She asked "Yeah!" I replied, I glanced nervously over to the door and up at the star it gave a little shimmer as if to say 'Go on what are you waiting for?'. I looked at Garnet and saw my reflection in her shades, "Your gonna ask about those mystery gems aren't you?" She questioned quietly, I nodded my head yes.

Garnet adjusted her glasses and sat down on the couch, I sat next to her, "The gems you see on the door use to be on the team, long story short they either disappeared or dropped out and lived a separate life.....Their names were Jade, Ammolite, Moonstone, and Amber..." Her voice trailed off as she said the names. So it's a Jade! I thought as I listened to Garnet, "Wait....Disappeared?" I asked, "Jade and Amber never came back from a scouting mission your mother sent them on" She answered back to me. "Oh" that's all I could say I still could not believe that there were more Crystal Gems out there!!! I would have been lost in my own thoughts, until Garnet snapped me back to reality. "Don't tell Pearl, or Amethyst that I told you....Okay?" She said "Why?" I asked, "It'll bring up too many memories" She said "Ok" I answered her question, "Thank you Steven!" Garnet said as she got up off the couch and walked over to the room doors.

She walked into her room and closed the door. Wow! So there are more gems out there!....Maybe we'll meet them one day! I thought to myself as I opened the temple door and walked out to the beach, I took one last look at the tiny green gem on the room door. It gave off another flash of light, as if to say 'One day!'
