Chapter Two: Relief
Ella's prov:
Crap, crap, crap I'm late, crap! It was three days since I checked up on the steves. I was so busy with work, training and mining that I totally forgot about them. With the materials I gathered for the machine I raced over to Herobrine's house and snuck my way into the teleportation room.
Shortly after I made it to the world. I had to run over to the forest since I only had the coordinates to the machine and prison. Without stopping I teleported tree to tree and got to the cobblestone fort that I previously made.
"Steves, are you in there?" I called.
The blue steve poke his head out.
"W-W-We're h-here," the blue steve quietly stuttered.
I sighed in relief, "thank goodness. I am so sorry for not coming sooner. I completely forgot with work piling up. Anyways good news. I think I might know how to fix you."
They all beamed up with excitement. "I'm gonna make a machine to put you all together," I explained. The expressions on the steve's faces changed drastically. "I'll go make the machine and you can all just relax for a bit. If that's alright with you. I know fully well that a machine started all this in the first place."
I watched the steves all hesitantly nod their heads. They were all nervous; I could tell. "I promise you it won't hurt a bit," I lied. I really had no idea of how this would turn out.
So I got to work on the machine, and I was about two thirds away from finishing... when I heard lightning. It was coming from the steves.
"Son of a wolf what now," I muttered. I raced over and saw that one of the steves was missing.
"Where's Green Steve?" I asked in horror. No one else knew. They were just as scared as I was. "Okay, Okay. Don't freak out. We can find him. I'm sure he's not far," I trembled. Then the red steve disappeared.
"What the chunk?" I yelled. Next blue steve disappeared. Then yellow, and lastly purple.
"Crap! Where did they go?" I shouted having a panic attack.
I paced around trying to find them, but it didn't really do any good since I only looked around the area in a panic. About a minute of shear cluelessness I heard thunder to the right of me.
"Chicken Boy?" I muttered. "He's not doing something worse is he?"
Running and teleporting I ran to where the thunder was coming from. It was really far from the other machine. I had to go through a huge jungle biome just to get there.
Hiding behind a tree I peeked around to see this new machine. It was coloured in the colours of the steves. There was this pedestal to the right as well, and inside was... the rainbow steve! I saw Chicken Boy standing well away from the machine writing a sign. After that he unlocked the rainbow steve and threw away a pickaxe he had.
Is he apologizing? I thought. Okay, I am deeply confused. He separates a rainbow steve entirely and then apologized in the next three days? Did he feel bad about it?
Non the less, the rainbow steve was safe, and that was all I was happy for. I teleported back to my machine, dismantled it, and then took apart the cobblestone rectangle I made. Then I pressed the button on the remote and went home.
Back at Herobrine's house I knew Herobrine wouldn't like what I did, so I went to the library and grabbed a random book. I walked back to the exit, and was caught by Herobrine moments before I headed out.
"Ella, what are you doing here?" he asked. "It's your day off."
"I found this book in your library and thought I would take it home to read," I lied. "Is that Alright with your?"
He looked at me for a minute and said. "Alright then, carry on."
I ran out of the house just after Herobrine turned the corner.
Outside I leaned on a spruce tree and started laughing. I think it was a happy and relieved laugh for the rainbow steve, but then I started thinking of him. He looked familiar to me; Especially with the rainbow sweater. It reminded me of the sweater I made for my rainbow. Wait, could he have been my rainbow?
