Chapter one: Separation

Ella's prov:
I was called from Herobrine for a last minute assignment. It was dark out and it took awhile to find where I was going. Soon after though I made it to the house. I opened the door and walked in.
"Yo Hero! You needed my right?" I shouted.
"Yes now come over here," Herobrine answered. "Here are your coordinates. I need you to go there."
"Wait, what's going on?" I question.
"I'm getting distress signals in this alternate world. I need you to go check it out," Herobrine explained. "I want you to check it out for me, but don't engage. We don't want to accidentally get involved."
"Oh okay. I'll go hurry," I replied.
I ran down the hallway to get to the teleportation room.
   "Remember, Don't engage!" Herobrine hollered.
Hold up. Let me explain. The teleportation room is a room that Herobrine recently built. It has this big machine inside with a satellite dish, and it teleports us anywhere we need or want to go. Herobrine made it to discover more lores, but it seems to have a mind of its own. I see it as a advantage, but Herobrine only see's it as a burden because now he has to find out about the noises that it makes. Thank goodness it's not every day though. Today was one of those days.

I ran into the machine and flipped a button to activate it. Followed by lightning I teleported to a grass land covered in hills.
"Whoa," I looked up and saw water flooding the area around me. The place looked like a battle field. I walked around to see if there was any clue to where the signal went. Then I saw an underground staircase. I was hesitant to go down but I eventually forced myself in. At the bottom of the staircase was a wall of lave.
   "Phht, easy," I chuckled.
I'm immune to lava so this wouldn't effect in the slightest. I slipped my way in easily, but I was shocked by what was on the other side. On the other side were signs. So many signs I couldn't count, but what was most unsettling about them was the fact that they all said "help". Other than the signs, there was a machine connected to five pedestals; All a different colour. At the back of the lava covered prison was a platform of dirt covered in redstone dust. Because of the dust I couldn't move any where else. I can't seem to cross over redstone; I've tried and it hurts. Apparently there was no one in, So now that that was all explored I quickly ran out and up to the surface. I looked around some more for any sign of a person. All I found was a trail of... lapis lazuli?

I followed it up to a hill, and came to something shocking. A huge machine that looked similar to the one in the prison, but it was more advanced. Then I noticed someone in there.
   "Oh my gosh!" I gasped.
Tripping I quickly ran over. It was hard to figure out, but I identified the lore as a rainbow steve locked into the machine. Now, I've met a lot of rainbow steves in this job. Each alternate world has one, and each rainbow steve has a different personality. Some of them are even girls! However I never saw my rainbow steve; You think I would, but oh well. I just thought I would mention that; I don't know why.
It was hard to identify it for some of its colour was gone. The yellow and purple colours were gone, but I looked behind me and saw the steves on their coloured pedestal. The rainbow steve twitched around in its locked position and I felt terrible for it.
He looks hurt; Really hurt. I should do something, but Herobrine told me not to engage. Arg! I couldn't think straight. I wanted to help, but I couldn't. Or could I?
"Oops," I "accidentally" found the lever and tripped on it.
It released the yellow and purple Steve from their position. Apparently it didn't release the rainbow steve. It was probably jammed, But at least I could keep its separate parts safe from whoever did all this in the first place. The steves went wild; The yellow one couldn't stop running for a second, and the purple one teleported everywhere. They were both freaking out screaming in either agony or in straight up terror. Eventually I grabbed them both and hugged them in an attempt to calm them down. It somewhat did the trick.
   "Follow me," I told them.
I grabbed their hands tight and lead them to a nearby forest. We went further in so that the person that did this wouldn't find us. "Okay. So I have no idea of what I should do. In fact, I can't do anything, Because of my Boss,"
I groaned telling the steves.
   "P-P-Please," the yellow steve stuttered. "H-H-Help u-us."
"Oh man," I said sorry. "Wish I could do more, but if my boss finds out that the call was from a steve he won't let me come back."
Then I heard lightning coming from behind me; Where the machine was. "Oh no," I sighed in terror.
I ran straight over to check on the noise. The rainbow steve was gone from its position in the machine. I saw three steves on the green, red, and blue pedestals. The rest of the rainbow steve was separated.
I'm too late I thought gasping and putting my hands in me mouth. I wanted to cry so badly. Then I saw a man. He was dressed in a chicken outfit and had a blindfold around his eyes. He was standing right next to another lever holding a camera.
Not only is he responsible for this, this... torcher! But he's recording it? How sick and twisted can someone be?!
I was so angry I wanted to walk over there and stab him in the chest, but I've already done enough to disobey Herobrine. The chicken man started walking away, and talking to the camera in the prosess.
Now's my chance. I snuck behind the blue steve's pedestal and waited for the player to walk away. I opened up the tubes the three were in and tried to calm them down. Like the yellow and purple steve, they freaked out just the same. The green one tried to run away in fear, while the red one wouldn't stop punching me. Thankfully the blue steve was calm in this situation. I think he knew I wasn't going to hurt him.
"Please, follow me," I asked them.
I held the green and red steve's hands and guided them to the forest, with the blue steve following behind. So now I had five different coloured steves, and all of them were freaking out like it was the end of the world.
"Please, try to calm down," I spoke in a stern  voice. "I get that your all hurt and scared, but in order for us to fix this we need to calm down and think."
They all looked at me and nodded. Then the green steve came running over to hug me. Of course, I hugged back.
"I'm gonna go get a part if your pedestals, please stay where you are," I announced.
With the green steve clinging to my arm I walked over to the machine. The green steve tugged me away because it was so scared.
"Don't worry, your not going back in," I reassured. " I just thought you would like having your favourite colour with you while I figure this out."
He stopped tugging me and allowed me to grab the items. Once they were all collected we headed back. I handed the colours to the steves and made a wall of cobblestone around them.
"Please stay here for a bit, I need to go now," I told them. They all nodded there heads. I pulled a remote out of my dress pocket. It's me and Herobrine's way of getting back to our world. "See you soon," I waved pressing the button.

It opened up a portal and I went inside. I appeared back in the Teleportation room.
"Well?" Herobrine said leaning on the wall. "Who was it?"
"A steve. You wouldn't be interested," I lied. "Besides they were already saved by the time I found them. It took me so long because the coordinates were slightly off."
"Okay, glad to see that we don't need to help," Herobrine sighed. "You can go home now."
"Okay, see you tomorrow." I walked out.

That night I felt so guilty. I could have done more but I didn't. I thought of what I could do tomorrow. I'll go mining tomorrow and find some material. Then I'll make a machine, put the steves inside, and hopefully it will put the rainbow steve back together. I didn't get much sleep.
