Prologue:

Crashing and burning. Hurting the ones you love. Watching as your hands contract around the throat of the innocent. Abandoning the life you once lived, and escaping to a new world. This is me, my life; but not me, I am different now. Or so I am told.

Beginning:

"You need to learn to control it on your own!" An exasperated male voice calls out over the flames. My voice cracks as a screamed back, "Don't you think I'm trying?". Another male voice calls out, Steve. "That's enough for today Y/n."

Ceasing the fire I fell to my knees, finally visually embodying the human wreckage I am. "What am I going to do Stevie?"

With a sigh and weary smile he spoke. "The same thing we did back in the day, keep fighting."

A/N - I'm sorry this is so short, but it's going to be a multi part mini series switching from the reader's POV to Steve's, every other chapter. I'm excited.
