I watched as Y/n tried to control the swirls of fire around her, a look of fear and determination sculpted to her features. Tears streamed down her face, this isn't the Y/n I remember.

She used to be a pretty normal girl, running around and playing with Bucky and I.

Bucky isn't the same either.

So watching as she tried to change the monster she had been become was devastating. The fact that I could have saved her from HYDRA in the first place, makes it worse.

Now, walking her through the tower to her room is peaceful. Almost like she can't spew inhuman fire from the palms of her hands, and use it as a deadly weapon. Almost.

"Steve?" She asks, her tears now dry.

Shaking myself from my thoughts, I repsponded simply, "Yes?".

"I'm sorry I'm this way."

Baffled my fave contorted into a look of pain and guilt. "Dont be. It's not your fault, if anything it's mine."

Her face flashed a look of anger, "How is it your fault?".
