You Find Out Your Pregnant After He Breaks Up With You Steve X Reader Part 1

Your POV

It has been about 2 weeks since Steve had told you that he no longer wanted to be in a relationship with you. You were currently sitting by the window and gazing out into the night sky and admiring all the shining stars. The break up was completely out of the blue to you as you had thought you and Steve were going strong. You could have coped perfectly fine with the break up if there had been signs but there were none. You suddenly felt sick again and ran into your bathroom, luckily you made it just in time before throwing up. Once you finished being sick, you checked your watch for the time then reached for the stick that was lying on the sink. You took a deep breath before looking down at the result.

Pregnant 3-4 Weeks was read on the clear blue pregnancy test.

Great. First Steve breaks up with you which you could probably just about handle but now to find out you were carrying his child made things a bit worse. You were already going to have to see him every day at work. Of course you had already decided you were going to keep your baby. You just weren't ready for anyone else to know about this just yet, especially Steve. You knew you could only call into work so many times but then what about when your bump started growing ? It would be obvious and Steve would find out. If he didn't see you then surely one of the others would tell him. You two had been dating for almost 1 year and obviously you had been intimate. You didn't want Steve to know because you didn't want him to feel like he had to be with you just for the sake of your child. Suddenly an idea had popped into your head. Once you were sure you were feeling fine for the time being, you went and got a glass of cold water. You sat down on your comfy sofa then picked up your phone. You scrolled threw your contacts before finding the one you had been looking for. You take a deep breath once again just to make sure you know what your doing and what you feel is right for you. You look back at your phone on the selected contact. You hit call and held your phone to your ear as you heard the other phone ring. You weren't even sure if this person would still be up at this time as it was late on. The ringing soon stopped and for a second you had thought it was going to go straight to voicemail but then you heard the voice on the other end. 

"Well well well Y/N why are you calling me ? And at this late hour, I thought you would be in bed asleep by now" The voice said you could sense a slight mockery in it.

"No, not yet, can we please meet tomorrow maybe somewhere private I really need to speak to you on your own without any of the others knowing" You practically beg.

"Okay calm down, you sound very panicked, has something happened ?" The voice asks concerned.

"Yeah that's why I need to speak to you in private please" You say trying to calm yourself down.

"Okay we can meet tomorrow at 11 am at my place ?" The voice suggests

"Okay that's fine, thank you" You reply sounding a little calmer.

Next Day

You had woken up at your usual time 06:30 am. You had enough time to get yourself ready, skipping breakfast since you felt like you couldn't really face it. You left your apartment around 10:20 am to give yourself time to travel to your designated location. You had arrived outside the building around 10:50 am which gave you 10 minutes to get inside the building and to where you needed to go to find the person you were meeting there. You were told to go right on up to the top floor and that the person would meet you there shortly. Once you were up on the floor you were told to go to, you sat down and instantly began fidgeting with your fingers feeling nervous. You were unsure of how to explain your situation let alone ask what you had planned to ask. When you had thought it threw it all seemed so  much clearer and easier. 

You were soon brought out of your thoughts when the door opened and the person you had come to see walked threw the door. 

"Y/N what can I do for you ?" Tony asked.

"I-...I urrmm I don't know how to tell you this or ask what I need too" You said suddenly feeling scared. 

"Okay just calm down, let's go to the kitchen and get a hot drink and we will take things from there okay ?" Tony says clearly seeing how upset you are. 

You kindly accept Tony's offer and head threw to the kitchen. Once you both have a hot drink of your choice you sit down and take a sip of your drink when it's cool enough. 

"Is your visit regarding Steve ?" Tony asks.

"Kind of" You say not looking at him.

"Well we all know he broke up with-" Tony begins but you cut him off

"I'm pregnant" You blurt out.

You look at Tony with wide eyes. You suddenly get up from the chair and try to make excuses and try to leave but Tony refuses to let you leave. 

"Y/N just calm down and sit down, it's okay we can still talk, I promise anything said will stay between us" Tony tells you reassuringly. 

You agree and sit back down. 

"I'm gonna take a guess that it is Steve's baby your carrying ?" Tony asks

"Yes it is but I don't want him or any of the others to know, not just yet and not until I'm ready" you explain.

"Okay but you can't call in sick for too long and plus the others will notice when they see your bump and tell Steve if he doesn't notice it before someone tells him" Tony points out.

"I know and I have been thinking, I want to leave my job there and maybe work here for you ?" You say hoping Tony will be understanding and help you out.

"You should really speak to Fury maybe he can help out and give you some easier jobs, no missions obviously or talk to Ste-" Tony begins but once again you cut him off.

"No I already said I don't want anyone else to know. Look it doesn't matter I will find something else hopefully in time before the baby is due, I've already left Fury an envelope with my resignation" You say finishing your drink.

"Okay maybe I can find some office kinda job here for you to do to help you out for the time being until you sort things out" Tony says

"Really ? You really mean that ? Your not just saying it ?" You ask a little uncertain.

"Yes I really mean it" Tony says with a smile as he gives you a hug.

"Promise me you won't say anything to the others ?" You practically beg him.

Tony took a deep breath and let out a long sigh before finally agreeing 

"I promise not to say anything to any of the others" He said reassuring you.

8 Months Later

Tony had kept his word, he managed to get you a job working for him at Stark Tower on the quiet of course, he never once mentioned you or your situation to any of the others regardless of how hard it was not to say anything at first. Tony had told you how shocked everyone was that you left. You had already changed all your contact information before they could call or text you. Tony had managed to find you another apartment, this one was a little bigger than your last one, it had 2 bedrooms but you had already decided that you were keeping your baby in your room once he or she was born. Tony and Pepper had been great threw your pregnancy, they helped you buy most of the baby stuff you needed, went to all your appointments with you, helped decorate your new place. 

However since you were now even more closer to your due date, they had insisted you stay with them so you had someone there should you go into labour. You were so grateful for all their love and support. You just felt hurt and heartbroken that Steve wasn't here to show you his love and support or his excitement for your new arrival. It hurt even more that he hadn't even tried to get in contact or see how you were but then again how could he since you have changed everything. 

"Penny for your thoughts" Tony says as he sits beside you on the sofa.

"Just thinking about the birth and after" You reply not looking at him.

"If you want him to know and be there just say and I will talk to him" Tony informs you.

You shake your head before finally looking at Tony.

"I don't want him or any of the others there, I'd prefer it if it was just you and Pepper please, you two have been so amazing threw all this, you've been like the parents I never had" You say with a small smile. 

You see Tony show a small smile at your choice of words. Tony suddenly gets up from the sofa, making you look at him confused.

"Come here a minute you there's something Pepper and I want to show you, it's something we have been working on, a surprise for you" Tony says as he extends his hand to help you up. 

You take Tony's hand and follow him to his main private office at Stark Tower. Tony picked up one of his very expensive flashy tablets. 

"Pepper and I have had decorators in over at yours and paint the nursery, we know you want to keep the little one in beside you but for later" Tony explains as he hands you the tablet to look at the photos. 

As you looked at the pictures, you were taken aback. The nursery looked perfect, the decorators had done an amazing job. The nursery was all neutral colours for a boy or a girl since you didn't know what you were having, you had wanted to keep the sex of the baby a surprise until the birth. You had spoken to both Tony and Pepper together about names you liked. 

"Tony this is" You begin to say but can't speak.

"Do you like it ? I- we, Pepper and myself I mean hope this was okay to do this" Tony begins

"I love it, this is perfect, thank you so much" You say before giving Tony a hug. 

Of course Tony hugs you back, relieved you were happy with the design of the nursery and that you weren't mad. Once you had seen everything, you gave Tony his tablet back. He had said something to make you laugh but it was cut short. You suddenly felt a sharp pain and had to hold onto something for support. 

"Y/N what's wrong ?" Tony asks both worried and panicked

"I think I'm in labour" You say also worried and panicked............
