Your POV

You had gone out on your first mission with Steve and Nat. Most of the avengers had been called in After Loki blew up the S.H.I.E.L.D compound and turned Clint to the dark side. You were currently on the quin jet with Steve and Nat. Steve left to go down and stop Loki. As Steve and Loki fought, Tony Stark appeared in his Iron Man outfit and helped Steve bring Loki aboard the jet so you could take Loki back to the compound. 

On your way back to the compound, the jet was hijacked by Thor who had managed to knock Tony out and grabbed Loki, unknown to anyone though, Loki had managed to wrap some of the chain that was holding him captive, around you so you ended up being taken as well. Your not sure how but Thor had managed to drop you while he landed with Loki. You fell down a tree going from branch to branch. You managed to hold onto a branch to stop yourself from falling anymore. 

"Ouch" You said as you felt your whole body and muscles ache. You gave yourself a few moments before you climbed down and limped back to the quin jet. 

"Jeez girl you okay ?" Nat asked when she seen you

"Don't ask" You replied and sat down.

The others got both Thor and Loki back on the jet before you headed back to the compound. Loki was taken right away and was locked up. You struggled to walk to your room so you could take a shower and freshen up and grab a few painkillers. 

"Y/N, are you okay ? Do you need any help ?" Steve asked as he walked over to you

"No, I'm in so much pain since I was dropped from I don't know how high and fell branch from branch down a tree" You grumbled

Steve picked you up without another word being said and carried you bridal style to your room. On your way out, you heard Tony being, well Tony and whistling a wedding song when he caught sight of you. You quickly flipped him off. Steve carried you all the way to your room and laid you down carefully on your sofa. 

"Is there anything else I can do for you ?" Steve offered.

"No you've been great, thanks Steve" You smile weakly at him

Instead of going for your shower or bath like you had planned, you fell asleep on your sofa. You were woken up by a loud bang and violent shaking. You soon heard the alarm go off, indicating that you were under attack. You quickly took two painkillers before heading back out to try and find some of the others to find out what was happening. As you run along the corridor, you notice everyone is splitting up into teams. 

"Y/N what are you doing out of your room ?" Steve asked when he spotted you

"I came here to help, we're under attack" You said stating the obvious to him.

"Well yes we are technically yes but your not able to move very far or fast" Steve said trying to sound authoritative 

"Well I'm here now so I'm helping" You tell him, refusing to back down

Knowing it was going to be pointless arguing with you, Steve backed down and agreed to let you help. He started by giving you some simple instructions on where to help. You were tasked with going to the vault where Loki was to help the team there and make sure Loki was still locked up. As you arrived you hear shouting coming from the room. You stayed as quiet as possible so you could check out the situation. You saw that Loki had tricked Thor and now Thor was in the huge glass container thing where Loki had previously been held. Loki banished Thor before he turned and spoke to Clint, who was still under his spell for the time being. You tried to keep as quiet as possible but it just seemed almost impossible as you were still in a lot of pain and aching all over. You notice how quiet it has suddenly gotten. You carefully take a quick glance around the room to see it empty except for the agents killed or wounded. 

You carefully ease yourself up and look around the room. You had to get back to the others and warn them that Loki was free. As you turned around you saw Clint standing by the door way blocking one of your exit's from the room. His eyes were a cold blue / grey colour. No doubt from whatever spell Loki had him under you guessed. 

"Where do you think your going in such a hurry ?" Clint asked

"Clint, I know your still in there somewhere, please this isn't you, Loki has you under some kind of spell. Look all around you, he's hurting and killed so many of your friends and team mates" You say hoping you can bring the real Clint back. 

Neither you or Clint say another word to each other, instead you just stare at each other like it's some kind of contest. After a few minutes, a smirk appears on his face. It confuses you at first then you pick up on it and quickly look behind you only to see another Clint come up behind you and grab you. You struggle with little effort. You look back to the other Clint only to see him change back to Loki. 

Loki - God of Mischief. Of course it was a trap ! How could you have been so stupid ?! 

"Well we have my little charm, let's go" Loki says and Clint throws you over his shoulder and carries you as he follows Loki out. Clint throws you onto one of Loki's weird looking spaceships. Outside New York is a disaster. There are loads of weird looking spaceships and creatures flying around and fighting with the Avenger's and S.H.I.E.L.D agents. You had honestly never seen anything like this before except for in the movies. 

The ship you were on, took off and hovered above a tall building. Loki looks around at the damage and mayhem he's caused and seems oddly pleased with himself for it. You look down and see the team fighting their best against these weird creatures. Loki nods his head to one of the creatures on the ship, suddenly the creature picks you up and holds you up high but over the ship as if he was ready to drop you at any given moment.

"Avengers, it seems as if I have one of your team members up here" Loki calls down

Soon Steve, Tony, Hulk and Thor all look up. Steve looks scared the most. 

"Put her down !" Tony demands

"Very poor choice of words gathered the situation we have here" Loki taunts

Loki suddenly locks eyes with you, a smirk appears on his face.

"This really hasn't been all that great for you has it ? First I chain you so my brother takes both of us and he let's you go and you fall threw the trees and now it looks as if your about to fall again" Loki taunts you.

"Go to hell" You snap at him

"Now now, no need to be so-" Loki starts but before he can finish, someone shoots at the ship causing it to move uncontrollably. It spins out of control fast and you roll about the floor, getting hurt even more. You manage to throw yourself off the ship and into Stark Tower before the ship falls to the ground and burns. 

"Why always me ?" You grumble to yourself feeling even more achy.

You weren't sure if the others had seen you get out or not. You wanted to try and move but you just couldn't. You laid where you were and closed your eyes, letting sleep and darkness take over you. What you didn't know or realise was that Loki also got off that ship and landed in Stark Tower. He stood beside you with that damned smirk across his face. He was ready to pick you up but he was stopped.

Steve POV 

Once we heard Loki's voice call from above us, once we killed some of these creatures, we all looked up and I swear I felt my whole world stop for a minute. One of those creatures was holding Y/N up high but it was outside of the ship like it was ready to drop her. 

"Put her down !" Tony yelled up

"Tony, don't say that, that thing is already set to drop her" I scolded him for his poor choice of words.

I look back up and saw Loki say something to Y/N. Suddenly the ship was hit after being fired at and veered out of control. I was unable to see if Y/N was able to get out. Once it hit the ground it blew up but I had to check and see if Y/N was on it. 

"Cap no!" Nat called

"I have to check it out" I told her refusing to back down.

I ran over to the ship wreckage but saw no sign of Y/N being on the ship.

"I think she got off" I told the others.

Thor grabbed my hand and swung his hammer up so we reached the top of Stark Tower. I saw Loki leaning over Y/N like he was about to try something. Thinking fast, I took my shield and flung it at him. It knocked him over. Soon enough, the rest of the team joined us. Loki was truly and utterly defeated. I let the others see to Loki while I tended to Y/N.

She was asleep but she really needed to be seen by a medical team. I carefully lifted her up and carried her away. I made it to the hospital in one piece, once there, a group of doctors and nurses took her away and I was asked to wait. I went to the waiting room but I couldn't just sit not knowing what was going on. I paced back and forth. The rest of the team soon joined me. 

"Thor's taken Loki home" Nat informed me.

All I could do was nod in response. 

"Any news ?" Bruce asked

"No a group of doctors and nurses just took her away, I've been waiting here for some sort or kind of news. This is on me" I said causing the others to look at me in confusion.

"I sent her down there to that room, knowing she was injured from the fall earlier, I tried to make her go back to her room but she refused and I sent her to that room of all places. I should have known that Loki would have set a trap for her" I say explaining myself to the team.

"Loki is the one responsible here for all this, not you. Y/N will be okay, she's a fighter and she's tough" Clint said.

"She's whooped you plenty of times in training" Nat joked

"Does anyone want a drink or something ?" Bruce offered.

Nat left with Bruce to help him with what everyone wanted while I waited with Tony and Clint. 

"Okay Cap time to be honest here, do you have feelings for her ?" Tony asked

"Huh ? What ?" I ask shocked

"C'mon Cap we've all seen the way you look at her, it's clear you adore her or at least have some sort of feelings for her" Clint chimes in.

"I don't know what your talking about" I try to defend myself.

"You ran to a spaceship that was on fire just to see if she was on it or made it out, you carried her to her room back at the compound then you brought her here" Tony pointed out

"I was worried about her" I say trying to sound convincing

"Yes but why were you worried about her in the way that you were ?" Clint asks.

"I-I don't know, It's been a while since I've felt anything for another woman but I can't go threw the whole loss thing again" I admit.

A nurse finally comes into the room and we all stand up. 

"Are you all here waiting for news on Y/N Y/LN ?" The nurse asks and we all nod our heads.

"Okay well she does have some nasty bruises and cuts, she is very tired at the moment. No internal injuries or anything serious" The nurse tells us.

"Can he go sit with her ?" Tony asks and points to me

"Are you a relative ?" She asks. 

I am about to answer her but both Tony and Clint beat me to it.

"Boyfriend" They both say in unison.

"Okay just give me a few minutes and I will come back for you" The nurse smiles before leaving the room

"What was that ?" I ask them both

"You want her Cap, go get her, go be happy" Tony says encouragingly. 

Him and Clint both leave to go and find Nat and Bruce so they can let them know the news. Not even two minutes later the nurse comes back for me and takes me into Y/N's private room. I notice she has a few drips on her and a few other pieces of equipment to monitor her. 

The nurse smiles before closing the door and leaving us in almost complete silence except for a machines. 

"Hey Cap" Y/N croaks out in a weak voice.

"Hey yourself, look Y/N I am so sorry for sending you down to that room, I should have known Loki would set a trap on you" I say in my best apologetic voice.

"Could you please hand me some water over ?" Y/N asks me

I get up and poured her some water into a plastic cup. I hold it for her as she takes a much needed drink. 

"Thank you" Y/N smiles

"Now let's get one thing sorted here, you didn't send me anywhere or do anything wrong, none of this is your fault so please don't blame yourself" Y/N tells me.

I nod and give her a small smile. 

"What else is on your mind ?" She asks

I hesitate for a moment. What do I do ? Do I be honest with her or be a coward ? I look up at her and she's looking at me, waiting for an answer. I think back to Tony's words from earlier. I decide it's best if I'm just honest with her. 

"I do have something else I wanna say, I'm just not sure how to say it" I tell her

"Just tell me" She encourages me

"Y/N I like you, like I really like you, I think I have feelings for you, I adore you so much and today, seeing you up there it scared me a lot" I begin to explain myself

"I like you too" Y/N blurts out

"Well when your better and out of here would you maybe wanna go for dinner ?" I ask hoping she says yes

"I have a better idea" Y/N replies with a mischievous grin on her face.

"Which is ?" I ask scared of her answer.

"Do you think you could sneak us some proper food in here, I hear  hospital food is terrible" She laughs.

I laugh along with her.

"A hospital dinner date ? It's something new but I'll try it" I smile at her.

We spend time just laughing and joking around. In that moment I knew I had done the right thing in telling Y/N how I felt about her.
