Jeongguk and Jiyeon had been hanging out for some time now. The brown-haired male didn't realize that he rarely spends time with his best friends because of her.

So Taehyung decided that they should hang out. Eat ice cream in their favourite ice cream hub. Just have fun and catch up with each other.

"Ggukie." the silver head called out. The aforementioned male just hummed while continued to type on his phone. Probably texting Jiyeon.

"Do you want to hang out? Tomorrow?" he asked hopefully. Jeongguk looked up from his phone and divert his attention to the elder.

"Sure, where?" he asked while smiling. "The usual," Taehyung responded with a happy grin.

"Ice cream?" the younger asked once again. The elder nodded excitedly. "Okay then, what time?" Jeongguk asked one last time.

"Three in the afternoon." Taehyung giggled while Jeongguk hummed and scrolled through his phone again.

At least he agreed.

|The Next Day|

Taehyung walked happily towards the ice cream hub. The sun shining brightly and it made him glow even more. He's excited to spend time with the person he loves.

The bell chimed as he opened the door of the hub. Taehyung's eyes wandered around the pastel-painted walls, looking for Jeongguk. But there was none.

The silver head shrugged it off.

Maybe I'm just early.

Taehyung thought and went to a vacant seat. Fishing out his phone to text the younger.

After waiting for a while, Jeongguk didn't reply, so Taehyung assumed that he was getting ready.

The silver head watched the scenery outside the crystal window. People casually walking, either with their friends, lovers, or dogs. People riding their bicycles or skateboard since cars rarely pass the specific street.

"Hi, may I know your order?" a girl approached him and kindly asked the spaced-out male.

"Oh, not yet, I'm still waiting for my friend. We'll order when he arrives," he said and gave her a small smile.

"Oh, okay." she bowed and went to the other customers. The place wasn't that big nor was it very small, it was just perfect. Not a lot of people come here, that's what made it more perfect. It wasn't noisy.

Taehyung looked at his phone, hoping for the younger's reply. But nothing popped up. He probably woke up late and is getting ready now. Jeongguk never misses any meetups with Taehyung. Ever.

So the elder just tapped his hands on the cold table as the place was air-conditioned.

An hour has passed but there wasn't a Jeongguk with him. Taehyung is starting to get nervous. What if the younger ditched him? No, Jeongguk won't do that.

Taehyung sighed. "Uh, hi. My manager wants me to have your order because he thinks you're a bystander. And it's not allowed here." the same girl from earlier said while smiling at him softly.

The silver head just bit his lower lip before laughing at her awkwardly. "Oh, I'm sorry. I guess I'll have a medium chocolate ice cream, please." he politely said.

The girl nodded and gave him a friendly smile before leaving to get his order.

Taehyung's butt ached as he was sitting for an hour straight, so he stood up slowly and sat on the seat in front of him after he straitens his back with a satisfying crack.

After ten minutes, the girl came back and handed him the cold sweet. Taehyung gave her the payment before savouring the yummy treat.

JEONGGUK'S FOCUS -

Jiyeon placed her head on Jeongguk's shoulder while staring at the television screen intently.

Jeongguk agreed when she asked him to have a friendly movie date with him just after he agreed on hanging out with Taehyung.

Wait-- fuck, I forgot.

The younger's eyes widen while pulling out his phone.

Jeongguk almost gasped when he saw that the elder was waiting for two hours now. How can he agree to Jiyeon's offer and forget about Taehyung? What a bad friend.

"Uhh, Jiyeon. I need to go. Is that okay?" Jeongguk asked and started to type on his phone in a hurry.

"Why, Gguk?" she asked and pulled her head away from his shoulder. "I forgot something important," he explained.

"Who is it?" she asked the male. "Taehyung." he simply answered.
Jiyeon pouted but nodded anyway. "Okay, bye," she muttered.

Jeongguk grinned at her before bidding his goodbye and left.

Taehyung stared outside the window. He lost hope that Jeongguk will come so he slowly stood up but stopped when his phone vibrated against his pockets.

It was Jeongguk, he's coming.

Taehyung smiled slightly and sat on the chair again. At least he'll come, right?

The silver head placed his head on his arms on the table, he's exhausted from waiting. Two straight hours just sitting. Too patient for his own good.

Did Jeongguk really forget about this? Is Jiyeon more important than his best friend now?

The bell chimed and Taehyung slowly looked up. Jeongguk went to the sitting male with a sheepish smile.

"I'm sorry, Tae. I forgot." the younger said and sat on the opposite chair. Taehyung smiled at him despite the aching of his heart.

Jeongguk forgot and made him wait for two hours. Where was he?

"It's... It's fine. Uhm, may I know where you were before coming h-here?" Taehyung asked with a small voice.

"Oh, I was at Jiyeon..." the younger responded while smiling. "Let's eat ice cream," he added.

Taehyung nodded with a tight-lipped smile. He can hear his heart shattering into a million pieces.

"I'll have large mint chocolate, please," Jeongguk told the girl from earlier.

The girl whipped her head towards Taehyung, silently asking what flavour he wants.

"I-i'll have a small strawberry, please," he muttered. His appetite long gone from waiting and from the name.

"But you always have large when we come here," Jeongguk said with a puzzled look.

"O-oh... I already ate some earlier." Taehyung lied. He ate one medium chocolate, not some.

"Oh, okay. I'm sorry that I made you wait, Tae." the younger apologized. "It's fine, don't worry." Taehyung forced a laugh.

After ten minutes or so, their order came and she placed it on the table gently. They gave her the payment before she left.

Taehyung ate silently while Jeongguk typed on his phone. "Uhh, Tae?" the younger called out silently.

The aforesaid male just hummed. "Jiyeon told me to come to her house because she's not feeling well," Jeongguk informed as Taehyung slowly turned his head to look at him.

"Is it okay if I leave?" the younger asked with an apologetic smile.

"But you just got here?" Taehyung asked him, too.

Jungkook opened his messages with her and made Taehyung read it.

"Oh... Okay," Taehyung mumbled while the other put his phone inside his jeans before bidding him goodbye.

Oh, you did not.

What if Jiyeon gets mad at him and the plan gets ruined because of me? Jungkook will hate me, okay?

I waited for 2 hours just to eat with him for what, 5 minutes?

Well... There's still next time, right?

The silver head licked the ice cream with tears threatening to come out from his eyes.

"Why can't I have you, baby?"

At least he came.
