13. The Good Side
"The world sang along to it falling apart
But I sympathize, and I recognize
And baby, I apologize
That I got the good side."

Jeongguk stood with a stoic face, the rain started to pour down on him but he didn't budge.
"Think about it, Jeongguk. Think about it."
He recalled Taehyung's tearful eyes and quivering lips while saying those words. The brown-haired boy never seen the elder lash out or even hurt him physically ever. Taehyung just looked so broken and livid before he left Jeongguk alone.
I fucked up, didn't I?
Jeongguk let out a long and frustrated sigh before making his way to the cabin where Jiyeon is waiting.
This day was supposed to be great but his stupidity just decided to ruin it.
"Where were you? Why are you so soaked up?" Jiyeon asked. Jeongguk refused to roll his eyes. "It's raining, is it?" He said with gritted teeth.
"Let's go home," Jeongguk said after removing his shirt and squeezing the water out of it.
Jiyeon shamelessly stared at his toned abs and v line.
--- The Next Day ---
Taehyung closed his eyes while listening to music. He placed his head on his arms on the table. They're currently waiting for their first period to come.
"You okay, Tae? You usually listen to my gossip but now you're wearing earphones. I know something's wrong when you do that." Jimin said after pulling one of the earphones out of Taehyung's ear.
"I'm fine, Chim. Just tired. I stayed up late trying to write lyrics for math." The younger lied, refusing to look at the blonde.
"Hm, really now? You stayed up so late that your eyes are swollen and red like you're crying? Were you crying while writing the lyrics or what?" Jimin sarcastically said.
Taehyung stayed silent while Jimin sat on Jeongguk's chair to talk properly with the silver head. The youngest is not yet at school which Taehyung is thankful for.
"Tae... What's wrong? Tell me. I'm your friend." Jimin rubbed Taehyung nape with his thumb. The younger blinked his tears away as he wasn't facing the worrying blonde.
"I'm fine, Chim. D-don't worry. I'll tell you later." Taehyung mumbled, afraid that his voice might crack.
Jimin stood up and embraced the silver head from behind before placing soft kisses on his soft hair, "I'm here." He whispered before going back to his chair when he saw their teacher barging inside the classroom, quieting all of the students.
"GO BACK TO YOUR PROPER SEATS. Damn, I really don't have the mood to teach y'all today... I know this is not what teachers do but I'm being a good teacher to all of you just not now. Do whatever the heck you want just don't be noisy." She said and sat on her chair.
"What happened, ma'am?" One of the students ask. "My fish drowned-- My head hurts, sorry." Mrs. Lim said and giggled slightly.
The students laughed at her silliness. She's always been funny and cool, she's a good teacher with cool techniques of teaching.
"Jeongguk's late..." Jimin whispered. Taehyung nodded silently.
After a minute or two, the door opened softly and awkwardly as Jeongguk peeked his head inside the classroom, "Good morning, ma'am." he said and made his way to his chair.
Taehyung didn't give the younger a single glance and continued to listen to music.
"Hey, guys," Jeongguk said awkwardly and remove the sling of his bag off of his shoulder. Jimin waved at him and then pointed towards the silver-haired male who leaned on his arms on the desk; not greeting the brown head like he always does.
"What happened?" Jimin quietly asked. Jeongguk didn't respond and just shrugged his shoulders.
"Both of you are acting weird. Please tell me what's wrong." Jimin unconsciously pouted, he hates it when his friends have a fight.
--- Lunch Time ---
"Why aren't you talking to Jeongguk? Tell me what happened." Jimin almost begged.
Taehyung leaned towards the upset elder and whispered in his ears, "I don't want to deal with him for now, okay? I'll tell you when we're alone. Just don't let him get close to me... Is that okay?" Taehyung pulled away.
The blonde let out a sigh before nodding. "So, how's the lyrics going, Tae?" Jeongguk attempted.
The aforesaid male just nodded, his face void with any emotions. "Do you need help? We're groupmates, right?" The younger bombarded Taehyung with questions just to make him talk.
"No, I got it. Go hang out with Jiyeon or just make out with her in the cabin. I don't really need your help." The silver-haired boy said, embitter.
The rest of the friends stared at them with furrowed brows, "What's happening here?" Namjoon inquired scooting towards the glaring males.
Jimin placed his hands on Taehyung's shoulder, trying to call him down. He gets why the younger didn't want to talk with Jeongguk now.
"Ask him." Taehyung simply said. The youngest scoffed, "You didn't even let me explain!" He exclaimed.
"Oh really now? Do you recall what you said to me that night? Don't act like you're the victim here, Jeongguk." Taehyung gritted his teeth while his eyes started to sting.
Jeongguk opened his mouth but nothing seems to come out. All the hurtful things he said to the elder came flooding back into his mind. He regrets it.
"I don't have the appetite anymore. See you guys tomorrow. Bye." The silver head said and harshly snatched his bag before leaving.
"Okay, what happened? From what I've heard, I think you deserve an ass whipping." Jin crossed his arms with a displeased look on his face.
Jeongguk sighed before telling them what happened. Just as he expected, the hyung looked very disappointed, mostly Jimin.
"I can't believe you. It's like you're abusing Taehyung's kindness towards you. You deserved that slap." The blonde tsked.
"Apologize to him. Do not ruin your friendship just because of a mere girl. Do even you think she's worth fighting for?" Yoongi said seriously.
"She's not just a mere girl, Hyung. I like her." Jeongguk defended. Hoseok abruptly stood up and eyed the youngest with dismay.
"You are blind. Too blind that you don't see who's really there for you, who really loves for who the fuck you are and not just your looks and money. The one who always helped you with everything and sacrificed a lot just to make you happy and contented. The person who's one call away when you need them. But isn't it a shame that when they need you, you're not there because you're with a person who does not appreciate what you're doing to them? Open your eyes, Jeongguk. Yes, she's kinda beautiful but is she worth it? Is she beautiful in the inside? Does she make you happy? Or is there something you're trying to prove to yourself that's why you're trying to convince that you like her? Don't be blind. Don't be stupid." Hoseok said before leaving, probably going to check up on the crestfallen silver-haired boy.
That's the second time Hoseok looked so serious. The first time was when someone tried to touch Jimin inappropriately.
"He's right, Gguk. Open your eyes. Apologize to him. He's at home. Do it while you still have the chance." Namjoon patted his shoulders before leaving.
"Do not fuck up again, Jeongguk," Yoongi said before leaving with Namjoon.
Jimin stood up to come with Yoongi.
"Jeongguk, if that Jiyeon snake will continue to control you and you make something dumb again. I slap the both of you," Jin stood up, "See these hands? They've slapped someone years ago and the person dislocated her neck because I slapped her really hard. Do not fuck up again." He said while showing the younger his hands before leaving Jeongguk alone.
It's funny how Taehyung was being obvious but Jeongguk just didn't even have a single idea. The hyungs know but he doesn't, how dumb is he? Is he really dumb or he's just blind? Is he blind or he just didn't want to assume things?
Jeongguk sighed, "I fucked up and I won't fuck up again." He said to himself.

The hyungs snapped.
Can you rate my grammar from 1-10? So I can know if I'm having a lot of errors. But am I doing great on making you imagine what I really want you to imagine? Okay, I'm overthinking.
What if I told you this plot isn't straight and is a little twisted? Hmm, Can you see the clues?
I love you! Stay safe! ❤|
