Chapter 6) Floating

As Danny and Tucker ran into the pitch black street, Danny literally glowed. His white hair were bright against the dark ally way, but had no comparison to his eyes. The green glow was almost devilish. If T. Foley was religious, he would be terrified.

       T. Foley soon realized that Danny wasn't running next to him anymore, but flying. Danny didn't even seem to realize it. His arms did a ridiculous jogging movement and he just seemed so focused.

          "Danny..... Stop." Tucker called out, but it came out mostly as a huff.

Danny heard his old friend's call and stopped. He remained floating, but still did not notice he was floating.

"Danny, *wheeze* do you feel fine? Not to startle you *wheeze*, but look down." T. Foley said out of breath.

             Danny looked down slowly, but did not see anything strange at first. He looked down again to see what his friend was talking about. He let out a gasp. He was floating! That was not possible! Humans do not float. He should not be floating.

               "Tuck? What is happening? Why?" Danny questioned.

                T. Foley shook his head in worry and wonder.

           Danny suddenly felt dizzy. Pain that he had not felt since waking up ambushed him. He wanted to throw up. He plummeted to the ground. Danny heard T. Foley calling his name and trying to pick him up, but could mnot respond. Black dots danced in his vision and unconsciousness claimed him.

Tucker gave up on yelling and shaking Danny to wake him up. When Tucker was about to pick Danny up, two blue rings appeared around Danny's body. As the rings traveled around Danny's body, they transformed Danny into the old friend Tucker once knew.

              Tucker could only stare at the boy he once knew. The black hair was the same, but the bruises and cuts were new. The boy in front of T. Foley seemed like a ghost of his old friend. Or maybe he just accepted the white haired boy as Danny and this boy just seems like a memory of the old Danny.

               T. Foley picked Danny up. Danny was heavier than the white haired boy. T. Foley shook his head. No, he thought, the white haired boy and Danny are the same person, not two different beings.

T. Foley hurried through ally ways and dark streets until he saw the sign. Fenton Works. The sign hung on the house like one on a hotel. Unlike a hotel sign, this sign was clearly made out of used metal parts and maybe glass.

T. Foley walked onto the porch. He feared that the Fentons called the police and explained their worries to the police. If they did, T. Foley would have a lot of explaining to do. T. Foley worked up the nerve to knock on the Fenton's door.

A middle aged redheaded woman answered the door. "Hello?... Danny! Please come in!" She nearly shouted.

                 T. Foley carried Danny inside. The house was lightly decorated with a few photos of Jasmine and Danny as children and Wedding photos of Jack and Madeline. There was a rather large couch and few chairs surrounding a fireplace. T. Foley laid Danny on the couch and remained standing beside him. The Fentons settled themselves into chairs.

Jack and Madeline stared at their son with worry, but made no move to touch him. Finally, Jasmine spoke up. "Where was he?"

Exactly what T. Foley did not want to hear. Questions. "He was helping up with cleaning up the ectoplasm after the explosion. The poor guy helped so much that he.... Uh... Fell asleep! Yeah, that's right. I uh... Went back to the factory after Miss. Fenton told me of Danny's disappearance. I woke him up... No I tried to wake him up, but he wouldn't wake up. I carried him back to his home, but got lost." T. Foley yammered.

"You got lost for four, no five hours?" Questioned Jasmine.

"Huh, it's really that late? I have to get going. I have to feed my umm.... Pet rock turtle cat." T. Foley rushed out the door.

"Fine. Have a good day! Thank you so much!" Madeline called after T. Foley.

"Hey Maddie! There's some ectoplasm in Danny boy hair! Jazzy pants get a case to hold it in!" Jack Fenton echoed through the house.

                  T. Foley sighed as he walked down the empty street. It felt wrong leaving Danny, but he was with his family. He would be safe right?

~~~~~~~~~~~~
                  Jasmine cared to her brother's wounds after her parents cleaned him of all ectoplasm. Danny looked so ill. Could it be from the ectoplasm or the lack of food and probably sleep?
                "Hey, princess? Who was that gentleman any way?" Her father asked.
"Mister Foley. One of Danny's old school pals." Jasmine answered.
Madeline rushed frantically into the room. "Jack! We need to get our equipment! All the ectolarks are mucking around the factory and gathering ectoplasm! We need to get there soon or it'll be gone!"
Jack quickly got up and talked too fast for any human being to understand him. The message was clear anyways. They were going.
Quicker than lightning the Fenton parents were gone. Jasmine sighed, she would be the one to take care of her injured brother tonight.
She decided that he needed to sleep in his bedroom tonight. Jasmine carried him up stairs. She changed him into a night attire and tucked him into bed.
Jasmine sighed, she wanted to bring him to the doctors, but they may not have enough money.
