♡ Do You Remember The Time? (Part 1)
You and Michael were at home, sitting on the couch feeding Prince, when you looked at the TV and saw yours and Michael's candid on the screen with the caption JACKO'S WIFE while you were out with him some time ago. You roll your eyes at the name 'Jacko' and continue feeding Prince. While the news reporter was talking about the two of you, you remembered something.
"Hey, Michael..."
"Yeah?" he asks, wiping Prince's mouth.
"Do you remember the time we first met?"
He giggles and says, "Yeah, i do. It was a time i'll never forget."
"Me either." You smile just thinking about it.
"Tell me, tell me, tell me!" An excited Alison jumps out of nowhere and onto the couch with you three.
"You haven't heard the story yet?" you ask her. She shakes her head no.
"Well, i guess it's about time," you say and look at Michael as he nods his head and smiles.
"So, it all started when..." You start the story off, stroking Alison's hair.
FLASHBACK:
Friday, March 25th 1988.
"Have fun, be careful!" you instruct the kids as they all run off to play outside. You do a baby sitting business at your house, because you love kids. Your house is big and has toys from room to room, the only rooms that kids aren't allowed access in is yours and the kitchen if they're unaccompanied. You truly believe that children bring the happiness throughout the dull world, and you're more than happy to have them with you as your job.
"(Y/N)!" a little girl and boy say your name at the same time.
"Come play with us!" the girl says.
"Yeah, please?" the boy pleads.
"Alright, alright," you say giggling at their enthusiasm.
"Yay!" they scream together taking your hands and running with you outside onto the play equipment.
After hours and hours of fun both outside and in, you say goodbye as the kids one by one eventually depart from their parents, some even sad to leave.
"Aww, it's okay, you'll be back again," you bend down to a little boy's height. "And when you are, we'll have even more fun then we did today, okay?" he nods his head and you kiss him and say your final goodbyes, then shut the door.
You put the money you earned in a jar then sigh a relaxing sigh, walking upstairs to your bathroom and begin turning the shower water on. You remove all of your clothes and lather body wash onto yourself, taking time to calm yourself down in the nice, hot shower. After you get out and step into your pajama's, you turn the TV on and the news pops up straight away.
"Okay folks, you've heard it right here," the news reporter expresses. "Michael Jackson is in town right this very moment, John."
"Thank you, Amanda. Yes, Michael Jackson is indeed in town for the second leg of his 'Bad' world tour here in the United States, this time right here in Denver, performing at the McNichols Sports Arena in about an hour."
You smile hearing that he's in town. Although you don't necessarily listen to his music much, you are familiar with him and happy for those who are attending. After too long of channel surfing and program watching, you check the time and it's 10:43pm. You yawn feeling tired, so you shut your light off and go to sleep.
Michael's P.O.V
"That sure was one hell of a show," Frank, my manager, says to me in the limo heading back to my hotel.
"Yeah, it was," i say, feeling exhausted and taking another swig of my water.
"Listen, you did good today. Now, get your rest."
"Actually, i was hoping tomorrow i'd look around for a daycare of some sort, just because i want my companions to stay somewhere safe while we'll be on the road all day long, you know, signing things..."
"Sean, Brandon and Kellie? Sure, but where were you looking to go?"
"I don't know, i need to find one as soon as possible because i know they'll get tired all day running around dealing with crazed fans; i just don't want them getting hurt."
"Well, i'll see what i can do. Right now, just take it easy."
"Thanks, Frank."
~The Next Day
Your P.O.V
As you're making breakfast, happy about your day off today, your telephone suddenly rings.
"Hello?" you answer it.
"Hi, can i book for two children to stay at your babysitting business today?"
"Sorry sir, not open on weekends."
You hear the man sigh on the other end and say, "Look, i really don't know where else to take them."
"I don't know what to tell you, sir."
"Listen, my name is Frank DiLeo. Michael Jackson's manger, he needs to drop a few off somewhere for the time being. He'll pay you however much you want, please?"
At first you thought this was some kind of joke because you couldn't really believe it, but you decided that maybe this could be the real thing, so you said, "Alright. 2/433 Grove st."
A while later you hear the doorbell ring. Even though your not too keen to work on your day off, you sigh and open the door expecting it to be this Frank guy but instead, you open the door only to be greeted by the man himself, Michael Jackson.
You stand there completely stunned, looking at his face with your jaw hanging slightly open. He looks back at you and smiles, then after a while clears his throat. You snap out of your little trance and notice he's got three kids with him. Two boys and a girl.
"H-Hi," you say nervously, trying your best to treat him normally. "So, who do we have here?" you try acting like your normal self, as if it's any other regular costumer coming to the door.
"Hi, this is Sean, Brandon and Kellie," he says, introducing them one by one. Kellie comes up in front of them and says to you, "Hi." Her blonde braids looking adorable as ever.
"Hello," you greet back.
"I'm terribly sorry to just drop in like this, especially on your day off as Frank had told me-"
"-No, actually. It's-It's fine, really," you smile.
He smiles at you warmly. You then feel this sense of love and kindness, even though you've known him for a minute or two, his smile makes your heart flutter.
"Oh, come in," you say, feeling stupid that they're just standing outside.
They walk in and Michael takes a look around and says, "Beautiful home."
"Thank you." Your cheeks turn a light shade of pink.
"I really just...I mean i'm running all over the place today so if it's not too much trouble?"
"Don't worry about it, really."
"Thank you so much." He unexpectedly gives you a hug and that right there sent a million butterflies in your stomach. You hug him back, smelling the cologne on him that makes you secretly swoon.
He's wearing a red button up and slacks with loafers, his hair hanging down just above his shoulders, and you admit to yourself that he's looking pretty...sexy.
"Well, i'll leave you to it, then..." he awkwardly says.
"Yeah, no, i-iv'e got this," you smile.
"Bye Michael," says Kellie.
"Yeah bye," then say Brandon and Sean.
"Bye you guys, have fun and behave, please."
After you close the door, you turn around and look at the three children just looking at you.
"Well, kids, my name is (Y/N). I suppose Michael didn't want you guys in the way, huh?" you joke.
"Nah, he's just scared that we'll be bombarded with press and paparazzi the entire day," Sean says.
"Alright, well, i didn't really plan for this because it was pretty unexpected. So, how about we," you look around and think for a moment, then see the play equipment outside. "We can go outside and play on this," you open the double doors out to the backyard and the kids follow behind you, saying a few, "wows" and "cools."
"How does this look?" you motion to the ginormous playground right in front of you. They don't even answer, instead just run off and immediately begin playing on it. Swinging, hanging and spinning everywhere. You laugh and join them.
~4 Hours Later
"Okay, alright alright alright, you win," you say to Brandon, laughing uncontrollably as he - again - beats you in a game of tag.
"That's not fair, he's faster than us!" Kellie yells, laughing. "This is the tenth time he won!"
"Yeah, no fair," Sean also says, rolling his eyes.
"Alright, i think we've had enough for now," you say.
Suddenly, you hear the doorbell ring and you are surprised because you didn't think Michael would be coming this early to pick them up.
"Already?" you say, getting up off the grass. You walk inside and so do the three of them, checking the time and it reads, 2:37pm. You also notice grass in your hair and on your butt. You quickly fix yourself up, removing all the little specks and gladly answer the door.
"Hey, come in," you say moving out of the way to let Michael get through.
"Did someone have fun today?" he says, messing with the kids' grassy hair.
"Yeah we did, we played everything," says Sean and the other kids agreeing.
"I'm glad you had fun," he says. You look around nervously as Michael turns around and says to you, "Hey, thanks for doing this." He reaches out some money in his pocket and places it in your hand.
You look at it confused and say, "This is too much."
"No, keep it. You deserved it, thank you again." He reaches in for another hug and you wrap your arms around his neck and thank him. You are actually sad to see the kids leave, as you genuinely did have fun with them.
"Wait for me in the limo," Michael tells them. They nod and each give you a hug.
"Bye, this was fun," you say. They smile and walk out of the door. Now you really feel uncomfortable with you being here with Michael alone.
"So, you have to show me what they were doing since they look so happy after seeing you. What's the secret?" he says.
"Oh, uh, we played outside on this equipment, scrabble, watched some cartoons, tag..."
He giggles and says, "Equipment? Can i see?" you lead him outside and he looks around, nodding his head, smiling. "Looks like fun. You really care about children, don't you?"
"Well, yeah. I don't know what it is about them, but i love their personality and how much light they can bring to the world. I guess it's just my natural instinct to give them everything in this world," you say truthfully.
Michael's P.O.V
As i'm listening to her, i can't help but admire how intelligent and caring she is. I can't believe she did all of this for the children. We're more alike then i thought we were.
"Really?" i ask.
"Yeah, really."
"You know, the reason i needed these kids over here was because they're travelling with me because they're starring in my upcoming movie called 'Moonwalker' and it's normal to them if i can't have them with me on the road all the time, to stop somewhere local where they can, i guess, have a break from all of this."
"A movie? Cool! So you're currently shooting it?"
"Yeah. It takes a while but it's worth it, i'm excited for people to see it."
"Oh, well i'll definitely watch it," she smiles. I also can't help but admire how beautiful she looks. She's wearing a v-neck red t-shirt, really tight, short denim shorts which show off her adoring legs with sandals, and her hair is out and looks so natural, she's just...perfection. And i'm beginning to get butterflies.
"Thank you," i say awkwardly, biting my lower lip. "You know i own something similar to this, i own an amusement park where i invite sick children to come over and play. I love seeing the looks on their faces when they get there and have fun."
"Sick children? That's really sweet of you, Michael."
"I try my best to help however i can."
We both just stand there, smiling at each other for way too long, when i decide to break the silence by asking, "Would you like to come see it sometime?"
"Sure, that would be great. Whenever you get back home, that is."
"Oh, yeah of course." I sigh, knowing that i have many shows to go before i can return home to Neverland, and even though i love it, i'm a little upset how i can't show (Y/N) sooner.
"Well, thanks again." I'm beginning to become embarrassed, just thanking her over and over again, even though iv'e already said it. I guess being polite isn't a bad thing. "Hey, uh, how can i get in touch with you?"
"Oh, umm..." she looks around and then pulls out a piece of paper, writing down her name and number on it and then handing it to me.
"Thanks," i hug her one last time and walk out of the door.
Thanks. Smooth. Real, smooth. I face palm myself and hop into the limo, driving back to my hotel.
