Chapter Two
I walked back out into the starry place. I looked back at the place my house had been," Holy crap!" The house was replaced by stars! Great! Now I'm totally lost!
I walked to another star. This one had a little sign on the door:
" Death is not the end of your journey, it's the start of the second part."
I snort with annoyance," Yeah right!" As I said that, the door opened and a teenage girl looked out," Newbie!" She opened the door fully and led me into a room that had light blue walls and a bed. The tall girl sat on the bed," What up? I'm Gavin. You must be....?" I sigh and sit beside her," Gale Garrets. Gavin?" Gavin smirked," I'm full girl, if that's what you wanna know. My mom wanted a different name." I smirked too," Well, she done that!" We laughed and I noticed a burn along her neck," What happened?" I nodded to her burn. Gavin pulled up her turtle neck," I died in a fire. It was painful." I place my hand gently on her shoulder," I know. I died by a slit to my throat. And it hurts worse that my father done it." Gavin gasped," I- I'm so sorry." I shrug," He hates me." Gavin huffed and laid back and pulled me with her," So, let me tell you about this place called StarLand! Well, that's what I call it-" She explained it while I stared at her ceiling. I slowly fell asleep. I let the dreamless sleep over come me as she blabbed on and on.
I woke up to her curled up with me. Apparently she fell asleep too. Careful not to wake her, I moved away awkwardly and sat up. Groggily, I shook her gently," Gavin? Come on, wake up!" The dark complected girl sat up rubbing her eyes," Aw! Dang, I'm tired!" I sniggered," You messed up her hair!" Gavin moaned and stole a hairbrush from her dresser," I hate this life!" She brushed her strait brown hair and yawned again," Have you met Piggin?" I smirked," Piggin? Who's that?" Gavin laughed," Whoa, you've never met the best guy ever? That's sad. Come on! We're off to see Piggin!"
