You swallowed in fear that you might lose what was left of last night's dinner. "Th...That tattoo...." You stood up on weak knees, trembling hands gripping the picture.

"(F/n)?" Sebastian asked, cautiously, stepping forward.
You put the photo back in the folder. "I-I'm fine." You said, sitting back down. "Wh-What happened next?"
William hesitated. "W-Well, we kept his friends under very close examination but... one night, they all just....Here," He said, turning his laptop around. He clicked a button and a video started to play. It was the security footage from his four friends, staying in identical rooms.
They were all trying to escape, screaming, "Let us out! He's coming for us!"
William paused the video. "The next part is a little graphic... Are you okay with seeing it?" He asked. You nodded. "Are you quite sure?" He asked again. You gave him a slight glare and he resumed the video. Then, at exactly 4:21 in the video, The screen went black for one second and then when it came back, the four people were lying in gruesome positions on the floor in each video.
You held your stomach. "Wh-What happened?" You asked.
Sebastian put a calming hand on your shoulder as William spoke. "Something blocked out the camera's feed for a whole second and next thing we knew, they were dead. Many people have tried to figure it out, but to no avail..." William shifted nervously in his chair.
"W-What happened to my father?"
William glanced at Sebastian, and then looked back at me. "He.... He was found trying to break into Dr. Fujimoto's lab....and....He was yelling something about not having "food" so we tried to feed him, but he wouldn't eat it. He said, "Not that! I need real food!" We kept trying to tell him that was real food but he wouldn't listen." William removed his glasses. "Then after about a half an hour of him yelling....he keeled over." Sebastian's grip tightened a little on your shoulder. "That's when he died..."
You stood up from your seat, looking at the ground. Sebastian stepped forward. "(F/n)-"
You held a hand up, stopping him. You turned to William. "May I speak to Dr. Fujimoto?"
William looked surprised for a moment, but then put his glasses on and nodded. "I'll take you."
You followed William out of his office and towards Dr. Fujimoto's lab, Sebastian trailing close behind you. The doctor looked up from his lab work and smiled. "Dr. Fujimoto," William started. "This is (F/n) (L/n). She wanted to see you." He said, excusing himself from the room, to give you some privacy.
Dr. Fujimoto held out his arms. "(F/n)! I haven't seen you since you were six!" He walked forward to try and hug you but you stepped back.
"I have some questions about my father." You said, coldly.
Dr. Fujimoto froze for a moment, but walked back over to his work. "Fire away, kiddo." He said, putting his goggles back on.
You took a step forward. "Why did my father think that you were doing experiments on me?"
He didn't look up. "Because when he came in one of the times he came to visit, I was going to show you something cool with your blood, so I was drawing a bit from your arm, and your father came in screaming at me. Scared the hell out of you. You clung to my jacket so hard that-"
"Did you explain it to him?" You asked, cutting him off.
He looked up at you. "Yes. I did, but he still wouldn't listen." He said, looking back at his work.
"How....How did my father die? William said he keeled over, but from what?"
Dr. Fujimoto froze again. "He...It was a heart attack. I did the autopsy myself."
You nodded a little. "I have no more questions." You said, turning around.
"Hey!" He called after you. You spun around and he had his goggles off. "Don't become like your father." He said.
You crossed your arms. "What do you mean?"
He glanced back at his work and turned back to you. "He was always nosey. Always sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. Even before he went insane."
You gave him a cold smile. "I don't know if I can. After all," You said, walking towards the door. "I am my father's daughter."
