Chappy 41
It was the last day of Class 1-A's weekend vacation, starting them off with the customary breakfast buffet.
After breakfast, Shouto called (Y/n) aside to talk to her.
"Is something wrong?" the girl questioned the male, knitting her eyebrows in concern.
"Why would anything be wrong?"
"Just asking," (Y/n) shrugged. "You have this sullen look. Or is it your normal face?"
The dual-haired male smiled. "Better now?"
(Y/n) smiled and playfully pinched his cheeks. "Yeah, that's much better."
She giggled when Shouto chuckled silently, pulling away from her fingers. A laughing Shouto was a rare Shouto and (Y/n) never got tired of seeing him.
"So, what is it then?" the girl tilted her head, anxious to know what he wanted.
"Eager are we?" Shouto teased and reached into the back pocket of his shorts. But before he could take out what he was taking out, he gave (Y/n) a serious look. "Close your eyes."
The girl rolled her eyes in amusement at the cliché order but obeyed him nevertheless. She waited in anticipation for whatever he was showing her, tempted to peek.
"No peeking," Shouto authorized, making the girl lift her hands in a defensive way. "Okay, open them."
(Y/n) did as she was told, the first thing meeting her eyes being two pieces of paper. Her forehead creased in puzzlement and she took them from his fingers to look at them.
"Tickets...to..." she began reading the papers, her eyes gradually widening in shock. She looked up from the tickets to gape at him. "A...yacht cruise?"
"It's a cruise that leaves tonight and arrives back early morning tomorrow. The yacht will be here around seven tonight and those are tickets to go there," he explained coolly, still amused by (Y/n)'s look of disbelief.
"How...how did you even manage this?" she waved the tickets to his face. "How did you even get the money?"
The male sighed, already having have prepared himself for her questions. "I called in for a favor from one of my old man's friends," he began, his face twisting in disgust. "I didn't like it but since it was for you, I sucked it up. He came through for me, not without a few favors from me of course."
(Y/n) thinned her lips into a straight line and placed her hand on his shoulder. "You didn't have to do it if you didn't like it just because of me."
"Then what would be the point of wanting to make you happy?"
The girl opened her mouth to answer but then snapped her mouth shut when no words came out. She sighed and pursed her lips, feeling all forms of warm, fluttery feelings because of Shouto.
She smiled. "I can't believe you did this."
"I told you I'd make it up for you," he said and shoved his hands in his short pockets. "Besides, it has all kinds of music you love, buffet, open sky, photo-mph!"
The boy was cut off when (Y/n) flung herself on him, hands going around his neck in a heartfelt hug.
"Thank you so much!! I can't even begin to say how wonderful this is," she said, her words coming out muffled as she had buried her face in the crook of his neck.
Shouto hugged her back and smiled. "You don't have to."
(Y/n) giggled and hugged him even more tightly. "I love you."
"I love you too."

(Y/n) and the girls had decided to take a walk around town for some shopping. The boys remained behind to do whatever it was they were doing back at the hotel.
They came back at almost three pm, a bit tired but still wanting to swim a bit for the last time.
(Y/n) laid on her beach bed, earphones in and dressed in a simple white floral print sundress as she listened to music. It was now almost six and she wasn't feeling like swimming since all she could feel was excitement and anticipation. She still couldn't believe that Shouto would do that for her. It was so sweet.
Amidst her thinking, she remembered when Katsuki took her to Kyoto for the Takigi Noh festival. At that time, she thought of it as only a friendly gesture, only to realize that it had a deeper meaning to it. It was also too sweet of him, something far out of his character. But then again his actions were all rooted in his feelings for her, choosing to treat her more different from any other person.
(Y/n) shook her head to dispel the thoughts. She had conditioned herself to not think about his confession and feelings for her as she didn't want to act or treat him differently from before.
With a clear mind, she relaxed and paid more attention to her music. After some time, she began dozing off, the breeze of the evening lulling her to sleep.
As the music died down, signifying its end, a shrill scream pierced the air. (Y/n)'s eyes shot open, yanking out her earphones and sitting up to see what was happening. It wasn't an ordinary scream of joy but one of fear, making her hero instincts switch on gear.
She saw what had caused the scream. At the other side, she saw Shouto on the ground with a small baby, no less than two years of age, in his hands. He looked to be in intense pain but still held on to the child like a lifeline.
"Shouto!" she gasped, grabbing her phone and getting off the bed to run to his aid. The mother of the child had already arrived, taking her child from his hands with numerous thanks. (Y/n) kneeled beside him, still confused as to how he got into this predicament.
"What's wrong? Are you hurt? What happened?" she asked frantically, her heart beating fast in worry.
The dual-haired male hissed in pain as he sat up. (Y/n)'s eye trailed to his right ankle, which was now swollen and red. The girl's lips parted in a gasp at the redness.
"Fuck..." his face twisted in pain. "I think I sprained it..."
He placed his right hand over the ankle, using his Quirk as a substitute for an ice pack.
Already, some people had already gathered around them. Most of their classmates were scattered around the hotel, leaving only a few at the swimming area.
Kirishima, who was one of them, crouched down to Shouto's level to inspect the injury.
"Man, that looks bad."
(Y/n) shot him a pointed look, making him smile apologetically. The girl rolled her eyes and looked back at Shouto. "Can you stand?"
Shouto nodded and placed his hands on the floor to help himself up. But in the process, the pain became too much and he stumbled but he was caught in time by (Y/n) and Kirishima. They shifted his arms to go around their shoulders as they acted as a crutch for him.
"(Y/n)!"
Said girl turned to look at the source of the voice to see Izuku speed walking towards her. "Let me help you!"
(Y/n) nodded and carefully moved so that Izuku would replace her. She took a step back and grimaced.
"Please be careful," she said as they began helping him walk back to the rooms.
(Y/n) bit her lower lip in utter worry as she nervously wrung her fingers. A hand was suddenly placed on her shoulder, making her turn to look at the owner.
"He's going to be okay."
(Y/n) sent Uraraka a strained smile and nodded, turning back to look at the boys helping Shouto walk.
"I hope so too."
***
"How do you feel?" (Y/n) asked as she brushed back the hairs that had fallen on Shouto's face.
"Better," he answered, crossing his arms behind his head as he looked up at (Y/n).
They were in the boys' room, with (Y/n) sitting on the edge of Shouto's bed as he laid on it. A bandage was wrapped around his ankle, his right foot placed on a large pillow to elevate it.
"Uraraka told me what you did," the girl picked at a loose thread unraveling from the hem of her dress. "You saved that baby from falling into the pool. Without your ice."
"And I got hurt because of that," Shouto breathed out, giving her a forced smile.
The girl lightly scoffed. She recalled back to the time she scolded him for getting hurt during his fight with Stain. Her gaze briefly flickered to the floor and she sadly smiled. "Yes, you did."
Shouto's eyes trailed all over her sullen face and he sighed, his forced smile disappearing altogether. "I'm sorry."
(Y/n) looked up from her lap with a confused look. "Why are you apologizing?"
"I can't take you to the cruise," he confessed, his voice laced with regret and apology.
The girl's lips parted in an 'oh' before she huffed out air through her nose. She had momentarily forgotten about the cruise since she was too busy being worried about more important things. Heck, even as she thought about it, she wasn't even angry about missing it in the first place.
She placed a hand on his chest and patted. "It's okay. We can just miss it."
Unconvinced, Shouto frowned. "You know you can just go with someone else. I wouldn't want you to miss it."
The girl chuckled and shook her head. "I told you. I'm fine. Besides, if I do go with someone else, it won't be the same without you."
The boy sighed and slowly sat up. He took her hand to lace his fingers with hers and gently cupped her cheek with his free hand.
"Come on," he urged. "I don't want you to miss out on that chance."
The girl frowned. "But it's a couples' cruise. I don't remember dating anybody else apart from you. Besides, it'll be too awkward."
The bi-colored male smiled in amusement. "You can just go as friends."
(Y/n)'s forehead puckered. She didn't even know what to make out of what he was saying. Just how hard did he hit his head? "You're okay with me going with another guy?"
Shouto placed his hand down and nodded before his expression turned serious. "Just not with Bakugou. I don't like him."
"You never liked him," (Y/n) rolled her eyes and rose up from the bed. "Okay, fine but I'm not so sure if I'll go. My excitement died a long time ago anyway."
Shouto stared at her blankly for a while, his mismatched eyes boring holes into her. The girl then groaned in defeat.
"Okay, okay. I'll see what I'll do."
***
(Y/n) sat on a high chair at the bar, mindlessly stirring her straw in her juice as she stared afar at the yacht. She wistfully sighed and looked down at her drink. Despite what he said, the girl had, in conclusion, decided not to go to the cruise since she felt like it wouldn't be much fun without Shouto around. She also didn't want to go with just anyone else because even the idea itself felt so wrong.
At the corner of her eye, someone appeared next to her making her turn to look at them. Standing there was Katsuki, dressed in a fully unbuttoned black shirt and black sweatpants.
"Go back inside," Katsuki growled, scowling at the girl.
"Not now, Katsuki." (Y/n) sighed wearily and turned back to stare at the cruise. "Besides, how did you even find me?"
Katsuki's scowl deepened. "I knew your dumbass self would pull something off the last night."
"Huh," she scoffed lightly, still looking away from him. "Well, you found me. Just sitting here. Not doing anything stupid. You can go back now and bother someone else."
The ash-blond growled in anger, his eyebrows twitching at her ignorance as anger bubbled within him. He then noticed that she wasn't ignoring him out of spite but just because she looked down in the dumps. His anger disintegrated, his features relaxing as he let out a sigh.
"Is this about that miserable fuckass boyfriend of yours? Heard he broke his neck or something."
(Y/n) turned to send him a 'what-the-fuck?' look. "He didn't break his neck. He sprained his ankle."
"And do I look like a give a fuck?!" he hissed, making her roll her eyes.
"'Course you don't," she muttered under her breath and took a sip of her juice.
"Are you going to tell me what's wrong then?" he asked in a more gentler tone than before, leaning on the counter as he looked at her expectantly.
(Y/n) turned her eyes back to the yacht. She sighed and began playing with her necklace. "He was supposed to take me there."
Katsuki knitted his brows in puzzlement before following her line of vision, his crimson-colored eyes landing on the grand lit-up yacht floating majestically on the sea. Passengers were boarding the yacht in a line and from the looks of it, they were many.
"Anyways, it's not like I can go now," she let out a humorless laugh, making Katsuki look back at her. The girl looked at the tickets that were lying next to her glass. "He said I could go with someone else but it won't be the same."
Katsuki looked at the tickets for a moment. "So what? You're just gonna miss it because of him?"
(Y/n) sighed. "It's not his fault Katsuki. I'm the one who decided not to go."
"Bullshit."
(Y/n)'s eyes widened at his utterance. "Huh?"
Katsuki lips were curved into a sneer as he glowered at her. "I call fucking bullshit. To me you look like you want to go there, am I right?"
"It's not a total must I go. Besides, wouldn't it a bit selfish for me to still want to go when I should be focusing on Shouto, who's hurt?"
"So? It's not so fucking bad to want something, is it? Plus, why the fuck are you letting his injury stop you from doing whatever the fuck you want, huh? You never let shit stop you from doing what you set your crazy mind to."
The girl remained silent, staring at him in contemplation as he continued.
"And do you have to go with him?"
(Y/n) sighed and shook her head. "You don't understand. This is a couples' cruise. I have to go with a plus one and with that, I can't just go with anyone."
Katsuki let out an annoyed groan. "You don't have to go as a fucking couple. You know what? Fine. You want a plus one, I'll be your fucking plus one."
"Huh? No, you don't need to," the girl quickly denied, making the male get irritated even more.
"I'm just taking you as a friend, dumbass! Besides, what's so fucking bad about going with me?!"
The fact that Shouto said not to with you specifically. (Y/n) shook her head. "No. That's not what I meant! It's just..."
"Just what?!" Katsuki baited.
How do I tell him that I can't go with him without telling him that I can't go with him? (Y/n)'s mouth kept opening and closing as she tried to think up for more suitable words to use but Katsuki finished up for her.
"Because you don't want me to get the wrong idea?"
Well, we can go with that too...The girl scratched the back of her neck, nodding slowly.
The ash-blond clicked his tongue. "You're not giving me the wrong idea. Besides, I'm just taking you there so you'd fucking stop whining."
"I'm not whining," (Y/n) narrowed her eyes at him, though relieved that he wasn't offended.
"Shut the fuck up," he snapped and extended his hand out to her. (Y/n) stared at the open palm before looking back at Katsuki. "Come on. Take it. Besides, aren't you the one who said you like going out with a bang?"
(Y/n)'s eyes widened.
She looked at the yacht from afar and drew her bottom lip in between her teeth.
I'm sorry Shouto...
She turned back to Katsuki and smiled.
I just wanna go...
She took his hand.

"Wow...it's so...beautiful," (Y/n) gushed as she looked around the yacht's deck with an awestruck expression.
Katsuki walked a bit behind her, hands in his sweatpants' pockets as he also looked around, in utter boredom. Beach-clad couples stood around on deck, laughing and talking as they mingled with others. From the looks of it, (Y/n) and Katsuki were the youngest as all the others were adults. Yet, no one seemed to pay no mind to them as they were too busy with each other. It gave him déjà vu about the time when they sneaked into ageHa. He nearly shuddered and glared at the back of (Y/n)'s head. The things he did for that piece of shit.
(Y/n) had decided to follow Katsuki's advice and to allow herself to at least enjoy the night, even though she still somehow wished Shouto was there. But she didn't let it dampen her mood anymore.
She gasped when her eyes fell on the large buffet placed at the edge, filled with delicious looking food.
She turned back to Katsuki and pointed at the table. "Let's go there."
Katsuki shrugged and followed her. (Y/n) took a plate and began filling it up with sweets. Katsuki simply stared at the food, frowning a bit when he saw (Y/n)'s already overflowing plate.
(Y/n) took a fork and began eating, moaning in delight when the sweet food entered her mouth.
"I think my soul just left my body," she sighed in contentment before turning to Katsuki. She stabbed at a sweet with her fork and pushed it closer to him. "You just have to try this. It's so good."
Katsuki scrunched his nose in disgust, leaning away from her. "Fuck no. Those things are bad for you, you moron."
"Come on," she pouted and held out the fork to him, a chocolate covered sweet at the end. "I promise it's good."
The male frowned at her persistence before giving in. He opened his mouth reluctantly, his face warming a tiny bit as she fed him. (Y/n) smiled and went to pull the fork from his mouth but Katsuki bit down on it.
"Katsuki, let it go," she giggled, trying to yank the fork out of his mouth.
Snap
The sudden flash from the camera surprised the two who turned their heads to see who had taken a picture of them.
"Perfect!!!" a man exclaimed triumphantly, taking the photo that had slid out of his Polaroid camera.
Katsuki released the fork, still staring at the new presence. The male chuckled and gave the photo to Katsuki, who stared at its blank surface.
"Aha! Just keep it for ten minutes and the magic will appear!"
"Wha..." (Y/n) arched an eyebrow at the man, making him gasp dramatically and bow.
"I forgot to introduce myself!! Jean Haru, official cruise photographer!" he straightened up and gave them a salute. "Capturing all special moments without fail! Welcome, young couple!"
I knew this would happen...
"We're not-" she began.
"Ta-ta!!" Jean bid her off, scurrying away before she could finish.
(Y/n) sighed and turned back to Katsuki who was staring at the still blank photo.
"Just put it in your pocket. It might develop," she shrugged, not having any knowledge about dealing with Polaroid pictures from the past.
The boy did as he was told before he looked around. They had started sailing into the ocean and music had begun playing. Together with that, alcohol had begun flowing in plenty and the atmosphere had begun to buzz with excitement. Which meant drunk people and too much noise.
Katsuki grimaced.
"How long is this cruise again?" he asked the girl standing beside him.
"Hmm? Oh, till morning," she answered as she filled her plate again with chocolate muffins.
Katsuki let out a sound of discomfort before fully turning to the girl.
"Does this fucking ship have rooms?"
