I woke up to my alarm going off at 7:30. I groaned and got up turning off the clock. I went to the closet and got an outfit for today. I threw it on and walked to the kitchen. I made myself some toast and put grape jelly on it. I quickly ate it and grabbed my stuff walking outside to school. Part way down the road I remembered the text I got last night. A wave of sadness hit me, but I kept walking. I heard laughter and talking behind me. I ignored it and kept walking to school. Soon I heard footsteps quickly coming towards me. I was turned around face to face with Derek.
"What's up dork?"
"Nothing," I answered quietly. He just laughed at me and put an arm around my shoulder. We kept walking down the road. Soon we got to school and he slapped me before walking off with his group. I sighed and walked inside to my locker. I saw the gang standing at their's. I just walked to mine and grabbed what I needed. I was about to walk Off when the gang noticed me.
"Hey Ryan sorry we couldn't walk with you," Evan said looking sincere. I forced a smile on my face.
"It's fine I had fun with the other guys," I lied trying to make them feel not guilty.
"That's good." I nodded and we walked to homeroom. We got there and sat in our normal seats waiting for it to start. Soon the bell rang and the teacher started talking.
