The next couple of days passed by quickly for Wooyoung. He was starting to get the hang of the bus schedule and he always made sure to finish with enough time to catch it home.
He didn't want a repeat of the other night, even though he had really enjoying being with Jongho.
The farmer had walked him to his front door and everything to make sure he arrived safely.
Now that the week was ending and he had a day off coming up, he really wished he had a way to contact the younger.
He really wanted to go and visit the farm and see what happened there.
So on his day off, Wooyoung got up early and once again hopped on the bus to head into the city.
He had been paid by the library this week, so he was hoping he could sign up for a phone plan to get his phone working again so it was more than a glorified music player.
Marcus would appreciate it too. His boss had made a few passing remarks about wishing he could contact Wooyoung so he had a heads up of what he wanted done that day.
Granted, he was still working on trying to organize the mess of files in the back room, but it was something.
The bus stopped on the Main Street and Wooyoung exited while changing the song on his phone. Once satisfied with the upbeat choice, he started walking down the sidewalk to look for phone store.
There was one not far, so he stepped in and worked on getting a basic phone plan.
It took a lot longer than he expected. It was hard to find a plan that he thought would fit his needs and his budget. He still didn't know exactly how much Marcus was going to pay him. They had never discussed what his pay was going to be, nor had they talked about how he was going to be paid.
Wooyoung made a mental not to be sure to talk to him about that the next time he went in. At this point he didn't really care how he got paid as long as he had the extra money.
His one saving grace was the fact that he already had a phone, so he didn't need to worry about getting a new one. Once the plan was signed up for, the associate worked on getting his phone activated and sent him on his way.
When everything was over, Wooyoung stood off to the side so he wasn't blocking the door and pulled out his wallet with Jongho's card.
A smile crossed his face as he started to enter the number into his phone.
Wooyoung
Hi Jongho. It's Wooyoung.
I finally got a phone!
I just wanted to make sure that you had my number.
He bit his lip as he locked his phone and looked around at his surroundings. It was still early in the afternoon so the idea of wandering around for a bit sounded appealing.
After walking a couple of blocks, Wooyoung's phone vibrated in his hand, which made him jump since he had gone several weeks without the feature.
The screen flashed quickly and his heart started to pound.
Jongho
This is great!
Now we have a way to talk to each other.
And you don't have to call me from strange numbers.
Wooyoung
This is true.
Props to you for answering though.
Thank you agains for that, by the way.
Sorry I was such a mess.
Jongho
You don't need to apologize.
I was happy to do it.
And I'll do it for you again anytime.
Wooyoung could feel the blush creep across his cheeks as he stared at the last message. He didn't even fully know how to respond to it, or at least say what he really wanted to. So he sent another thank you and started walking again.
He made his way slowly back to the bus station and decided to stop for a coffee to drink on the ride home.
As he was approaching the shop, he thought he heard his name, even through his headphones.
Wooyoung glanced around and pulled out one of his buds.
"Over here." A familiar voice said.
He turned to see San and Pierre walking over to him from a limousine that had parked on the side of the street. "S-San?" Wooyoung's eyes widened as he took in the older. He had almost started to believe that his run in with the handsome boy was a dream.
"Who else?" San said with a bright smile. "I was hoping to see you again. It wasn't until after you left that I realized I didn't have your number."
Wooyoung bit his lip and looked down. "You wouldn't have gotten it then anyway, because I didn't have a working phone."
"But you do now?" When Wooyoung nodded, San held out his hand and leaned forward. "Hand it over."
Not knowing why, he did without hesitation. He watched as San entered his contact information into the phone and texted himself so he would have Wooyoung's number.
Then he grabbed Wooyoung's wrist and pulled him closer to wrap his arm around the younger's shoulder. "Smile!" He said.
It took Wooyoung a moment to realize they were taking a picture. He flashed a nervous smile just in time. San giggled as he set the photo as his contact name, then sent it to himself.
"Perfect! What are you doing now?" He turned to Wooyoung, a hopeful expression on his face.
"Um, I was getting ready to go home." Wooyoung slowly pointed over his shoulder to the bus station. He had no idea how to process what was happening right now.
San gave him the impression that he got his way, no matter what it was. It probably came from owning his own company.
"Well now you're not." San beamed as he started dragging Wooyoung to his car, confirming his suspicions.
"W-Wait! What are you doing?" Wooyoung sputtered, debating on whether or not he should try to pull away. But then San smiled at him and he lost all his will to flee.
"I'm kidnapping you." The older giggled again as Pierre opened the door to his car and he pulled Wooyoung in with him. Once the door closed, San leaned over far enough that Wooyoung was pressing his back into the door. "Eat dinner with me. I want to get to know you. Honestly, I haven't been able to get you off my mind." He ended with a whisper that had Wooyoung's heart pounding rapidly. And all he could do was nod in response.
San smirked at him and sat back as the car pulled away from the sidewalk. The ride ended up being silent. Wooyoung had a feeling San was doing it on purpose to build either the suspense or his curiosity.
Both ended up happening as he studied the older out of the corner of his eye.
Damn he was gorgeous...
At that moment, Wooyoung wanted nothing more than to reach over and see if San's skin was as soft as it looked.
"Do I have something on my face?" San turned to him, a knowing look in his eye as he arched an eyebrow.
Wooyoung turned his head away quickly, then buried his face in his hands. "I'm s-sorry. I didn't m-mean to." He felt so embarrassed. He didn't even really know what he was doing here.
"I'm just teasing." San murmured.
Then Wooyoung felt a hand on his elbow and allowed San to pull his hands away from his face. He knew he was most likely still beet red, but he couldn't stop himself from obeying San's unspoken commands.
"That's better. I'm sorry, I know I can be a little forward sometimes." The older chuckled and sat back. "So what brought you to the city today? You said you like out side the main portion of it, right?"
Wooyoung nodded and swallowed the lump in his throat. "Y-Yeah. Really it's about an hour away. To the west. I, um, I was signing up for a phone plan." He said, looking out the window. The fact that he could barely afford to have a phone while San was sitting next to him, inside what was probably his personal limousine, made him feel even more self conscious.
"Well a phone is a very important thing to have." San said gently. "Especially because now I can get in contact with you." He added lightly, finally pulling a smile from the younger. "There it is." He said, biting just the corner of his lip.
Wooyoung felt his stomach flip at the action and he had to look out the window again to try and compose himself.
He had never been around someone so forward before. Well, really, he had never been with anyone at all in a setting like this, so this was all new to him.
Dating back home was impossible with his parents...
A few minutes later, the limo pulled to a stop and the door opened. Wooyoung glanced at San once, then stepped outside. The older followed right after him. "Thank you Pierre, please get yourself some dinner too and make sure they put it on my bill."
"Thank you, Sir." The man bowed his head.
Then San grabbed Wooyoung's hand and started to pull him forward.
Wooyoung glanced at where they were connected, then up at San's determined face and felt butterflies flapping in his stomach.
This was such a nice feeling.
But they were gone as soon as they stepped inside the restaurant.
It was a high end place, made obvious by the elegant décor and the fact that almost every man in that place was wearing a suit or at least a button down shirt, and all the ladies were in dresses.
Wooyoung looked down at his torn pants and wrinkled t-shirt. At least he had on the nice shoes San had bought him...
"Don't worry about it." San leaned over and whispered in his ear. "You're still beautiful in my eyes."
Wooyoung froze as his eyes widened. He had just imagined San saying that, right?
But the gentle squeeze he received on his hand told him otherwise.
They were shown to a table in the corner that was thankfully a little darker, so Wooyoung didn't feel as uncomfortable.
He was handed a menu, but San took it away as soon as he went to open it. "Nope. You don't get to look. What kind of food do you like?" He asked, tilting his head to the side.
"But I want to see what they have." Wooyoung said with a slight pout.
San's dimples show as he smiled at the younger. "Well you're just going to have to trust me. I know! We will do a sampler. That way you can try a little of everything."
And that what he ordered when the waitress came back, along with a bottle of wine. He also mentioned to make sure Pierre's dinner was put on his bill as well.
Wooyoung looked down at his lap and smiled. It was obvious that San cared for the other man deeply.
"So does Pierre work for you?"
"Yes. Although he probably considers himself more of a glorified babysitter than anything since he has to follow me around all day." San chuckled and passed Wooyoung a glass of wine once he had poured it.
"Why does he do that?" Wooyoung took a sip of the dark red liquid and hummed. It had a sweet undertone that he knew was going to be dangerous because he already felt addicted.
"Well, with me being... Me... I need some form of protection. Just in case." San took a drink as well then licked his lips.
Wooyoung watched the motion closely before returning his attention to San's eyes. They had a little twinkle in them and was doing things to Wooyoung that he didn't fully understand.
"So tell me about yourself." San leaned forward and rested his chin in his hand. "I want to know everything."
"Well there's not much to tell." Wooyoung rubbed the back of his head nervously while his mouth twisted to the side in a hesitant smile. "I live a pretty boring life, and always have. I grew up in a small town that was very traditional, so I left as soon as I could. I work in a library and just got a job organizing files and such for a private investigator, so for right now I'm doing both. I live in a small apartment and try to live just one day at a time."
"What do you man by traditional?" San asked, pouring Wooyoung a little more wine.
The younger blushed and looked down. "Well. I'm..." He sighed. San was forward enough, he probably wouldn't judge. "I'm gay. And they don't exactly agree with that there."
At that, San reached over the table and took Wooyoung's hand. "It's nothing to be ashamed of. You should be proud of yourself for admitting who. You really are. They are the fools for throwing you away."
Wooyoung felt tears come to his eyes as he stared at the older.
Their silent moment was broken when the waitress came back with a large plate of food filled with different fried, baked, and grilled meat and vegetables.
Wooyoung's mouth started watering immediately as his nose was filled with the delicious aromas of spices and other seasonings.
"They put paprika in the batter!" He said as he brought a piece of calamari to his nose. "I love paprika!" He said. And when he popped the piece of fish in his mouth, he couldn't help but hum again. "Oh my god." He said, covering his mouth.
"Good?" San chuckled as he nibbled on a piece of chicken.
"So good!" Wooyoung started picking at the other things on the plate.
"So you like to cook then?" San asked a few moments later.
Wooyoung paused and looked at him with wide eyes.
"I wouldn't even be able to tell you that paprika is a spice." The older laughed as he took another drink and swirled his wine around in his glass.
"I love to cook. It's one of my favorite things. Especially when I can do it with fresh ingredients. They have an entire different flavor profile that is just amazing. I love to experiment too, and see what new things I can come up with."
"Wow, that's amazing! You'll have to cook for me sometime." San flashed a crooked smile.
Wooyoung just nodded.
The rest of the meal was passed with random topics. San avoided any questions about his business and just directed them back to Wooyoung.
Once all the food was gone, along with the wine, San paid for the bill and held out his hand to help Wooyoung from his seat.
As he stood, Wooyoung realized he was slightly buzzed and he swayed for a moment.
San grabbed his elbow to steady him and waited for a nod before they started to walk from the restaurant.
Wooyoung felt a little embarrassed. He hated that he was such a lightweight, but he did his best to keep calm and steady as they reentered the limo.
"What's your address?" San asked.
"Oh you don't need to take me home. I can take the bus." Wooyoung started to open his door, but then the lock clicked.
"Yeah I don't think so." San leaned over and took his hand off the door. "Address?"
Wooyoung recited it and leaned into his seat. It was probably a good thing that San was taking him home... He didn't know if he was going to stay awake much longer with how good he felt at the moment.
The car was once again silent as Pierre started to make his way from the city.
"Wooyoung?" San asked quietly, capturing the younger's attention.
The look in San's eyes made him pause and he bit his lip. Then he was shocked when San grabbed his hand and ran his finger's over Wooyoung's palm, slowly.
"I don't know what it is, but I meant it when I said that I couldn't get you out of my mind. Will you see me again?"
"Yes." Wooyoung answered immediately. He wanted nothing more than to see the bewitching business owner again.
Then San leaned over and cupped Wooyoung's cheek. The feeling of his thumb drifting back and forth sent a chill down his spine as he studied San's dark green eyes.
The distance was closed between them and Wooyoung hummed happily as San's wine flavored lips pressed against his.
He felt like he was soaring. Kissing San was even better than he had been imagining it through dinner. The way their lips melded together was intoxicating.
San brought a hand up and squeezed his side gently, bringing them closer together, while Wooyoung wrapped his arms around the older's neck.
As San started to pull away, he placed two more soft pecks to Wooyoung's lips, then pulled Wooyoung so they were snuggled together on the seat.
They spent the rest of the ride in a comfortable silence. San let his fingers drift back and forth along Wooyoung's arm on one hand, while the other one teased his hair.
And they parted with one more kiss in front of Wooyoung's apartment.
When he was safely inside and the door was shut and locked, Wooyoung brought a finger to his lips and smiled.
His phone when off a moment later and the smile grew at the name that popped up.
Sannie
Thank you for the amazing evening.
And the kiss.
I can't wait to see you again.
