Come Monday, Wooyoung was antsy his entire shift at the library. He still made sure to do everything he was supposed to do, plus more.

A group of teenagers decided it would be ok to goof around in the back corner of the library and ended up knocking over several bookcases.

Wooyoung kicked them out immediately and spent the rest of his shift trying to organize the books to the best of his ability.

With no help...

That was the other thing Wooyoung had an issue with. Because his coworkers were all older, they were also on the lazier side and didn't put in the same kind of effort. They assumed Wooyoung would just take care of it, which he did because he was a nice person with a good work ethic...

He really hoped this job with Marcus ended up working out and he could eventually quit this job.

Doing the best he could to get the mess cleaned up, Wooyoung didn't bother with making it perfect. He could do that tomorrow. But he did get everything back on the shelves before clocking out and running out the front door before anyone could ask him to do something else.

He wished he had something nicer to wear for his first day of work, but he didn't feel like it would be a good idea to show up in the same outfit as his interview, so he settled for an old t-shirt and tried to dress it up with his new hoodie.

Wooyoung caught the last bus to the city and hurried to the small office.

Marcus was sitting behind the desk typing on the main computer. He lifted his head up right away and smiled. "Ah! You're here."

"I told you I would be." Wooyoung said as he closed the doors.

"Yes you did. I'm glad to know that so far I can trust you." Marcus' eyes narrowed a little as they drifted up and down. "Let's get started shall we?"

"Please show me what you would like me to do!" Wooyoung had a hard time hiding his excitement as he followed Marcus into the back office.

He cringed a little when saw that it was filled almost floor to ceiling with filing cabinets and stray files.

"So this is where I need you to start." Marcus said, sighing and rubbing the back of his neck. "With it being just me, staying organized hasn't been the top of my list so you've got your work cut out for you. Impress me." The taller ended while arching his eyebrow and chuckled as he left the room.

Wooyoung pursed his lips and surveyed the room trying to decide where to start. He grabbed a couple of files and noticed that they were each at least labeled with a name, city, or business.

So he was keeping files on more than just people.

He started by going through the files and sorting them between the three groups. The 'people' pile was definitely the largest one, and was dangerously close to toppling over at any moment.

A knock came from the doorway some time later and Wooyoung looked up to see Marcus leaning against it will a smile on his face. "Wow. You've been busy."

The younger sighed and spun in a circle. "I feel like I've hardly made any progress. But it should be organized. Files on people are in that corner, places are in this one, and businesses are over there. The next step is alphabetizing them and assigning them to a filing cabinet."

Marcus nodded, following along. "It's a great start. Come on, I ordered us some dinner. Then you can head home. It's already almost eight."

Wooyoung's eyes widened, "Is it really that late?" He walked to the front room and looked out the windows. The city lights were on, giving everything an entirely different look and feel. "I should get home." He turned to Marcus.

"Eat first." He said, a slight demanding tone to his voice that Wooyoung almost didn't pick up on.

Wooyoung hesitated for a moment, but sat down at the desk. "Sorry, you're right, it would be rude of me to leave now. Thanks for the food."

"You're welcome. You earned it." Marcus smiled and handed Wooyoung a wrapped burger.

He noticed that it was from the same diner Jongho had taken him too and he couldn't help but smile. Slowly, he picked up a French fry and twisted it in his fingers like he had seen the younger do.

It made him really wish he had a phone so he could text him.

"What are you thinking about?" Marcus asked, making Wooyoung look up. There was a crooked smile on the mans face and his bright green eyes flashed.

"Oh, I was just thinking about a friend. He just took me to this place a few days ago." Wooyoung could feel the blush coming to his face as he at his meal

"Good choice. They've honestly got the best burgers around in my opinion."

Wooyoung hummed as he nodded.

They ate the rest of their meal in silence, and by the time they were done, Wooyoung realized he didn't have a ride back into the city. The last bus left at 8:15.

"Do... Do you mind if I borrow your phone?"

"No, not at all." Marcus pulled out his cell phone and slid it across the desk.

Wooyoung muttered a quick thank you and stepped into the back room while grabbing Jongho's number from his wallet. He was worried that the farmer might not pick up since it was an unknown caller, but he had to at least try.

His eyes scanned the room as he started mentally planning what he was going to do next time he came while the phone rang.

"Hello, this is Jongho."

Wooyoung couldn't help the smile that crossed his face at the sound of Jongho's voice. "Hi Jongho, it's Wo-"

"Woo! Did you finally get a cell phone?" The farmer said with a teasing tone.

The older let out a nervous laugh. "No, I'm borrowing my boss' phone. I really hate to do this, but can I ask you a huge favor?"

"Of course! What can I do for you?"

Wooyoung sighed, feeling horrible for having to ask this. "Is there any chance I could get a ride back home...?"

"Where are you?" Jongho asked. Wooyoung could hear the jingling of keys in the background.

"The city." He muttered.

"I'm on my way, can you find your way to that diner?"

"Yeah, I think so. Thank you." Wooyoung said, biting his lip as he hung up the phone. He was too afraid to say something he'd regret.

If Jongho never showed up then he would just spend the night in the city. He'd figure something out. Honestly he wouldn't blame Jongho if he decided not to come. It was almost an hour drive to the city by bus, if he was even further away it would take longer.

As he stepped back into the main office, Marcus had his coat on. "Did you need a ride home?"

"No, that's what the call was for, thank you." Wooyoung handed the phone over. "When do you want me next?"

"How about tomorrow? After you're done with your other job again? Let's just plan on that for now." Marcus opened the door and they stepped outside so he could lock it.

"Sure thing. I'll get here just as soon as I can!"

Marcus nodded and glanced at Wooyoung one more time before nodding and walking away.

Wooyoung let out a long sigh and started walking down the street until he found a building that he recognized. He should have asked for directions... Why did he tell Jongho that he could get there? He had only been there once.

He had no idea how long he had been wandering looking for the diner and hew as starting to panic.

"Hey hot stuff." A woman in a short dress said. She was leaning against a graffitied wall and had a seductive smile on her face.

Wooyoung just ignored her and kept walking.

"You know it's rude to ignore a lady." Another one said, moving to stand in front of him. She ran a finger down Wooyoung's chest, making him shudder. "Why don't you come play with us?" She said with a slight whine to her voice.

"S-Sorry, I'm not interested." He pushed her hand away and tried to walk around her.

The first girl grabbed his arm and spun him around so that he was sandwiched between both of them.

Wooyoung's heart started to race as he stomach flipped. "P-Please. I really need to get g-going."

"Awww, he's shy." The second girl said with a giggle. "We can give you a deal for your first time." She leaned forward and nibbled on his ear.

"N-No, I'm g-good." Wooyoung held up his hands, wanting to push them off but he was suddenly worried about where to touch them. He didn't want to do anything that could be deemed as inappropriate. If they were prostitutes like he thought they were, then whoever they worked for had to be close by.

"Come on, we know you want to have some fun." The first girl said, slipping a hand under his shirt.

Wooyoung was just about to finally push her away again when a car horn blared next to them.

All three of them looked at the street and Wooyoung sighed with relief when he saw the familiar rusty truck parked halfway on the side way.

"Hey!" Jongho shouted as he jumped out of the car and marched around it. "Back off!"

Both girls stepped back with whined protests as the farmer came and grabbed Wooyoung's hand and pulled him to the truck, shooting a glare over his shoulder. He opened the door for Wooyoung and made sure he was inside before hurrying to the driver seat. He pulled away from the sidewalk and sped down the street.

Wooyoung sat in his seat, wringing his wrists, as he tried to process what was going on. The first thing he was worried about was Jongho being upset with him. He had just spent time he could have been sleeping to drive incredibly out of his way to pick Wooyoung up, and then Wooyoung couldn't even think straight enough to fend up a couple of girls.

Once they were out of the city, Jongho pulled over to the side of the road and turned to Wooyoung. "Are you ok?"

The older barely registered that Jongho was speaking to him until he felt Jongho grab his hand.

"Woo. You're shaking..." The farmer whispered. He pulled Wooyoung across the long seat and into his arms.

Wooyoung ended up twisting so that he was laying on the seat and partially on Jongho's lap as his fear finally took over and he started to cry.

"Hey, it's ok." Jongho whispered, running his hand through the hair on the back of Wooyoung's head. "You're ok."

"I'm s-sorry. I was l-lost and I didn't know wh-what to d-do." Wooyoung sputtered as he tried to contain himself.

"Alright, deep breath. I'm sorry, I should have made sure you really knew where you were going." Jongho whispered into the top of his head.

"And then th-they were so p-pushy... I just f-froze. I'm so pathetic."

"Now that's not true. You were just overwhelmed. It's ok."

Wooyoung sniffed and pressed his face into Jongho's chest. If he wasn't already a mess right now he would probably be feeling really embarrassed, but for right now, this felt good.

After a few more minutes, he had calmed down a bit, but Jongho had rubbed his head the entire time.

"Do you want me to take you home now?" The farmer whispered.

Wooyoung nodded and slid down so his head was laying in Jongho's lap. He didn't even care right now. For whatever reason, he didn't want to break contact right now.

And Jongho didn't protest either.

As soon as he pulled back onto the road, he kept a hand on the steering wheel while placing his free hand on Wooyoung's shoulder.

Neither one of them spoke for the rest of the drive. It was a comfortable silence. Wooyoung couldn't remember the last time he felt this content with someone.

No, he didn't think he had ever been this happy. Not even when he was growing up. He had never fit in with his parents or their ideals...

But here, with Jongho, riding very illegally in the front seat of a truck, he felt at peace.
