~Genji's POV~
Continuing with our prolonged escape from the fire, I grabbed Angela's hand in to lessen the chance of being separated. Her speed grew slower as she began to feel fatigued. "I... can't run for... much longer." she informed me, eventually stopping as a result. (fancy words o0o.) "shall I carry you?" I politely offer, my omnic hand gripping her human hand. "Angela?" She didn't respond, nor did she make an effort to. Her breathing was heavy, which is understandable considering the distance we covered by running, however they were also very slow. This was rather concerning. I knelt beside her with the intention to encourage and comfort her. Nothing changed- being caught in flames was no longer a worry. Angela blinked numerous times as if she were drained of her energy and was trying desperately to recover. "I'm here, Angela..." my words of encouragement trailed off. Was she dying?
At that moment, Angela turned in the opposite direction and vomited on the ground behind. I cringed slightly; it wasn't a pretty sight, even with someone of Angela's beauty, but I continued to try and comfort her. "Did you eat something bad?" I questioned whilst rubbing her back. She shook her head and extracted a tissue from her pocket to wipe her mouth with it. "Just a little sick, I should be alright now, I'm sorry you had to see that, Genji.." even with a half-hearted smile, Angela struggled to stand on her own. I offered to take her other hand however she kept it firmly around her stomach. "If you can, could you please carry me?" Obviously, I gladly scooped her into my arms and continued our run to safety.
Once we were at a safe distance away from the forest fire, I placed Angela carefully on the ground. I watched as she wriggled on the sand and grass trying to find a comfortable position. I almost jumped when she abruptly turned to face me. Angela stared at me as I stared at her, almost making me feel uncomfortable. "I don't suppose you have any sorts of pastries, do you?" she randomly suggested. I shook my head. "Anything sweet?" (COUGH COUGH, i know what genji has that's sweet~ ) Again, I shook my head. "These are such random requests Angela," I reply confused yet thoroughly concerned. "Are you sure you're alright?"
"Positive! Only my stomach says otherwise." she giggled. Her giggles were adorable but something about them sounded fake and misleading. "Shall I gather some more fruits?" I kindly offer. "Please be careful if you do," Angela replied, smiling with that familiar angelic (kek PUNS.) expression which I love, "I'll try to rinse my mouth by the water.." As I get up to leave, I look back to check on her at a quick glance. She did manage to move, however she was soon back on the sand lying on her side by the water.
~Angela POV~
Genji's questions lingered in my mind. I admit I was being quite unreasonable with my own questions. Was I really alright? I'm not so sure. I faced the waves and watched in awe as their tides lapped over each other. It was calming, I appreciate that, but that wasn't what I needed. I needed Answers. First, I rinsed y mouth with the water- the salty aftertaste was a reminder of my poor decision to do so, nevertheless it soon went away. When I stood up again, the unbearable pain in my stomach returned to haunt me. I dropped back to the ground and squealed. Tears built in my eyes, my arms squeezed my stomach, trying to focus on a different source of pain. It was no use.
I lifted my top to examine anything that may or may not have bee there, Nothing out of the ordinary, except, I cringed at the size of my stomach. It was bulging and made me look fat , in my opinion. I was unsure if this was due to a change in diet or something else. While I analyzed it Genji reappeared with a few fruits. He used his helmet, again, as a basket to carry them in. I immediately covered myself before sheer embarrassment overwhelmed me. I'm certain that he was smirking under that mask of his. I blushed at the thought of him Knowing anything, "Angela, there were only these apple I could find," I rolled over and tried to hide my flustered face. Genji sighed. "I'm certain that there's nothing about you I haven't seen." He commented with a laugh.
For certain, this was a symptom. (I was pregante. jk jk.) I had to be pregnant, there is no other possible explanation.
~Genji's POV~
I sat next to the blushing Angela and chuckled lightly at her reactions. "It still hurts," she explained as she looked down and held her stomach. Angela took an apple from my selection (Do you have more than two~?) then slowly bit into it. They were fairly small bites but at least she was eating well enough. Before I ate my own apple, I lowered myself to kiss her stomach. "That tickled a little bit, Genji!" she cutely pouted. "Does your stomach hurt or do you just feel sick?" I questioned her. Angela took a few more small bites before answering. "Both, actually, although it seems to change every now and then," she leaned on my shoulder for support "I honestly feel terrible."
"Try not to dwell on it too much Angela," trying to soothe her. "I apologize if I'm asking to many questions."
"It's fine really."
"Relax for now then, I will keep you safe.."
"Thank you, Genji."
She didn't fall asleep; she closed her eyes and tried to rejuvenate herself. I gently kissed her forehead. Angela's breaths were no longer as heavy and slow-paced as before, which was good. However her facial expression soon turned grim as she furrowed her brows in pain. She reopened her eyes, "I'll be back," as she quickly stood up to drift into the forest before I even could say anything.
