Genji POV
I sat outside the room Mercy was getting treated in. Zen, and Ana were doin their best but, Mercy was out healer, our surgeon, my love. I missed her, I was worried too. After hours upon hours of her being in there, Ana finally came out. A healing orb set in her back by Zen. Stressed maybe. I stood up to her. "Please, anything." I begged her for any info. "M-Mercy," she yawned "She... She will be okay. B-But." I furrowed my brows. "WHAT?!" I began to get antsy. I was tired of waiting. "Sorry." I quickly corrected myself and sat back down, hoping to ease my nerves, calm myself. "Genji, we discovered... something. In Mercy's stomach. Something we think, or rather, know you would like to see." She pulled out some x-ray papers, she passed me them and gently smiled. But her eyes glinted with worry. I was mortified. The photo showed a tiny child. Fairly large. But, it's right arm. It was nearly torn off. The baby, it was shot too, it had no arm. "That, is the reason she was gaining. She wasn't gaining weight! She had a child!" I looked at it and shook my head. "Who's-" she shushed me. "You." She gazed at me, a silent and slightly awkward moment was shared. "U-Um...." She sighed, "Its okay Genji. I'm not mad or anything, love is love." I blushed and nodded. "But," she pointed to the arm. "We had to operate on the child too. Which took... extra long. It survived. Or rather, She, survived. I sighed in relief. "Your a father Genji. If you and Angela need time, it's fine." I nodded. "Then take this month off. You can go see her, she will wake up soon." I slowly walked into Angelas room. She was asleep on the bed, her forehead was covered in sweat. She was burning up, fever I guess. Zen was there in the corner meditating, a healing orb floating above her head. He noticed me come in, and quickly left us alone. A sat there and gazed at her. Stroking hair out of her face and placing a cold cloth on her head. Drying the sweat and tending to her. I slightly uncovered her toes to cool down. My mother would do this when I was too warm. She'd uncover my toes saying that it would help. And usually it did. I held Angela's hand gently, my thumb stroking her hand. Then she squeezed my hand. I gazed wide eyed hoping she would get up. Her half lidded eyes flutter open as she looks at me, "g-genji....." She whispered. I sat closer to her. I hummed. "did.... did the child...." I nodded. "She did.." Angela sighed in relief, her glossy eyes starting to pour. "Hey, hey, hey.... it's okay." I carresed her cheek. "Shh...." She gently pulled on my arm and I figured what she wanted. I picked her up gently, sat in her bed, and placed her in my lap. Hold in into her closely as I slipped the blanket over her. She nuzzled into my comfortable hoodie, "Mm...." She sighed again, content. "I love you Genji." I smiled and kissed her head. "I love you too, Angela." So one or later she fell asleep. Her soft breaths like a lullaby, My eyelids soon became heavy as I drifted to sleep.
Mercy POV
The pain in my stomach from the stiches was still there when I woke up. But I chose to ignore it. I gazed at Genji as his head was rolled back against the wall. He had given me all of the pillows and blankets. I smiled. I looked around to find Ana sitting quietly in the corner sipping from a cup. "Morning~!" She whispered. I waved slightly. Careful not to wake Genji up, I slipped out of bed and into a wheelchair. Ana handed me my staff and I healed some of the pain, the skin coming together, the stiches removed, my other injuries healed, all except for the gun shot. It remained as a scar. The stretch marks too, those didnt heal. But other than that I feel better. I nodded to Ana, trying to get up but falling. But I felt a hand around my waist. The hand hand get me down safely on a soft lap and rested again. It was Genji. I tried to see if he was tricking me but he was actually asleep. Ana was shocked too. We both silently giggled, admiring Genjis reflexes even when asleep. "I'll get some food." I nodded as she left the room. Leaving me to admire Genji, until, he groaned, stretched, and woke up. He gave me a smile. "Hey" he said groggily, he gently kissed my head and looked at my scar. He slightly hummed. Tracing a circle around it until he picked me up and kissed it. Making me blush. "T-Thanks Genji..."
