chapter three

Held Captive

CLAUDIA WAS QUITE ANNOYED THAT SHE WAS CURRENTLY chained to a toilet. She was even more annoyed that all her weapons had been taken away, and that Liam was bit by a wolf. All of this in one night was aggravating but, it was probably the most interesting thing that had happened to her in awhile, so the girl decided to not try and escape.

"Hey, boys." She commented as the duo that had broken Liam's foot earlier came in the room, the taller one going over to open the shower curtain where the Dunbar boy was tied up.

"Why doesn't this one have tape over her mouth?" Stiles questioned, pointing over to the girl who was less than impressed with their kidnapping tactics.

"Because she'd rather not do something that would make you guys kill her but, at this point, you two seem pretty harmless." The Jelani girl smiled sarcastically, and Scott sighed slightly before taking a bit of tape off the roll and putting it on her mouth.

Wolves, she thought to herself, shaking head head slightly.

The two boys left the room after that, and Claudia rolled her eyes, looking up at the ceiling. Liam was screaming through his tape, and while the Jelani girl could have done the same, she knew it wouldn't help at all. These guys would let her go before the night was over, they didn't have the heart to keep her or kill her.

Their mistake.

"We're gonna bring you into the other room, please do not get aggressive, okay?" Stiles warned carefully as he walked into the room, the girl rolling her eyes in response.

The boy unlocked her chains and pulled her upward by them, Claudia cocking her arm back before elbowing him in the face. She smiled to herself, walking over to the bed where she figured she was supposed to go and sat down. The girl also knew she could easily get out of there, but she wasn't going to leave Liam by himself.

"Ouch, what was that for!?" The Stilinski boy screamed, holding onto his face as Scott brought the Dunbar boy in next to her.

The McCall boy took the tape off her mouth to answer, his friend still holding his face.

"You guys kidnapped me, did you accept a hug?" Claudia tilted her head to the side, the older boys somewhat understanding her point.

"Okay, fine." Stiles turned to the newly bitten werewolf, finally putting his hands down. "Liam, i'm gonna take your tape off now. If you scream, it goes right back on. If you talk quietly like your girlfriend, it stays off. Got it?"

The boy nodded slightly, making the older one step forward, ripping the tape off his mouth.

"We—.. we aren't dating." Liam said to them after grunting, the pain of the ripped tape hurting him. "Not yet."

"Yet?" Claudia's eyes widened at the comment, looking into the other direction to hide a blush.

"Really? Don't you come to practice for him?" Stiles placed his hand on his chin in thought, his best friend elbowing him to pay attention.

"Stiles." Scott whispered.

"Okay, right, you're right." The Stilinski boy stood up straighter. "Okay, Liam, now you've seen a lot of confusing things tonight and more confusing things are going to happen because of the confusing things that happened tonight. Do you understand?"

"I don't think a rocket scientist would be able to understand that." Claudia answered for the boy.

"She's right." Scott confirmed, knowing what he was talking about yet not understanding all at the same time.

"Good, that's good. I don't understand either. Maybe you should tell him." Stiles pointed to his best friend who nodded awkwardly, Claudia throwing her head back in annoyance.

"Tell me what?" Liam questioned nervously.

"Liam... what happened to you, what I did to you, which I had to do in order to save you, its's going to change you." The McCall boy explained, his words slightly more understandable than his friends.

"Unless you die." Stiles added on. "I shouldn't have said that."

"What?" The Dunbar boy frantically looked from Claudia, to Scott, and then to the Stilinski boy in shock.

It was true that if someone wasn't strong enough, the bite would kill them but, she had full faith that the boy could do it.

Or maybe she was just being hopeful, and completely out of character.

"Uh... is he—...is he crying?" Stiles stuttered out, pointing at the younger boy who let tears come out of his eyes.

"Liam, it's okay. You're going to be all right." Scott bent down, trying to give at least some ounce of reassurance. "You're not going to die."

"I'm pretty sure he's not going to feel any better about this when the person who put him in this situation in the first place is in his face." Claudia felt her jaw clench slightly, angry knowing that she could have done more to prevent this situation.

"Fine." Stiles bent down, thinking he would make it any better. "You're probably not gonna die."

"Stop it." Scott snapped, yet it was in a low voice and not at all hostile.

So much for an alpha.

"Just let me go, and let him go. Who wouldn't be scared that they are tied up?" Claudia raised a brow, the two boys before exchanging frantic looks, knowing she was correct yet again.

"Why aren't you scared?" Stiles questioned, tilting his head to the side.

"Would you just help me untie them?" Scott rolled his eyes, looking at his friend to get himself together.

"Fine, but i'm untying him, not her." Stiles narrowed his eyes at the girl as he handed his best friend the key to her chains carefully.

"Okay, fine." The McCall boy got up to his feet, and unlocked the girls chains as the Stilinski one pulled all of the tape off of the Dunbar teen.

"Liam? Are you okay? We're sorry about that, we're really sorry." Scott voiced, Claudia leaning forward to get a look at his face as the boy simply panted in response.

Then, he got up from his chair before smashing it over the McCall wolfs head. He fell to the ground, and Stiles stepped forward, not understanding why he was angry. The Jelani girl smiled, finally seeing her friend was ready to fight.

"What the hell is your—" she got up, cutting the Stilinski boy off as she cocked back, punching him harshly in the face.

"Come on!" Liam yelled, the girl nodding her head and running after him as they barreled out of the room and down the hallway. "Wait, my foot isn't broken."

"That's the last thing we should be worried about right now!" Claudia yelled, looking around frantically before seeing there was steps leading to a door outside.

She realized it was too late though, and cursed under her breath as she heard Scott and Stiles yelling as they ran towards the pair, all four of them rolling down the steps together.

Luckily, they still weren't the brightest, and while the two of them weren't looking, Liam picked the girl up, and they were off into the night.

"That was super badass of us." She said as the boy put her down at the edge of the driveway, folding her arms across her chest.

"Yeah it was." Claudia breathed out, shocked by how much fun she'd just had.

Liam would get through this, she just knew.

PRETENDING LIKE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAD happened the night before as she got off the bus wasn't exactly hard. Sure, Garrett and Violet had been questioning where she was the whole night but, she managed to dodge the whole I got captured by an alpha talk pretty well. Now, all she had to do was make sure that Liam wouldn't say anything.

If she knew where he was.

The boy had dropped her off where she instructed and ran off, not giving her a call or text afterward. She could say she was worried but, she wasn't going to. Things like worry and care were not in her vocabulary.

"I'm not watching another movie on a Friday night." Garrett voiced as him and his friends made their way around the bus. "Mason, there's gotta be something going on."

"I kind of like movies..." Claudia shrugged her shoulders lightly, putting a comforting arm around Mason who was no doubt offended by his blonde friends comment.

"Yeah, me too and, you remember we're Freshmans, right? We just got off a school bus. We're not exactly gonna be hitting the clubs till 4:00 am." The Hewitt boy tried to reason with them.

"Okay, fine, movie at your place. 9:00." Violet agreed, taking her boyfriend's hand. "See you guys later."

"Bye." Claudia waved as they walked off, secretly throwing up a middle finger at them behind their backs.

"Isn't she your best friend?" Mason asked, tilting his head to the side.

Right, she forgot about that.

"Totally, but all best friends get on each others nerves, right?" Claudia shrugged, figuring that was an appropriate answer.

"Yeah, I guess so." Mason brushed it off, looking around the school yard. "Speaking of best friends, where's Liam? He usually rides with us."

"There he is." The Jelani girl pointed forward to where Liam was frantically running towards them.

"Hey, Liam. Why weren't you on the bus?" The Hewitt boy questioned.

"I ran." He answered back, Claudia facepalming at his answer.

"You ran three miles to school?" Mason asked in disbelief.

"I dared him, yeah." The Jelani girl realized her idea was much, much better than the other boys. "He said his leg was fine so I dared him to run to school, I didn't know he would actually do it."

"Fine, so his leg is okay but, what happened to your arm?" The Hewitt boy pointed to Liams arm that had a small bandage wrapped around it.

The Dunbar boy started to breathe heavily, doubling over and sweating like he was about to faint.

"Shit, I forgot! We have to do some studying together for a test we have in class." Claudia grabbed ahold of the boy, letting him lean on her for support. "See you later, Mason?"

The Hewitt boy nodded, and as the Jelani girl looked up, she seen Scott watching them.

She obviously went in the opposite direction.
