Chelsea's POV:

I was visiting my grandparents in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I was spending the summer at my grandparent's house. so far the only bad thing about Tulsa is the heat. It is SOOO hot out here. It's a good thing that I wore comfortable clothes. Im wearing a light purple tank-top, purple sunglasses, jean shorts, a purple belt, a purple headband, and purple flip- flops. As you can probably tell, i LOVE purple! so anyway, as soon as i got off the plane, I was met with a wave of heat. And that sun was just brutal. Its a good thing that i have extra sunscreen! i don't want to burn! My grandpa is supposed to be here to bring me to their house. I looked around and saw my grandfather. I got my suitcases, 2 purple ones, and got onto his car. i was pretty tired so i fell asleep. when i woke, we were at the house. I went into the house and went upstairs to my room so I could unpack. Apparently my grandparent's roof was being fixed. I went to the window and opened it. Boy, what a nice view! As i looked out of the window, part of a man's body blocked my view. Probably a worker fixing the roof. I tapped his leg, "excuse me sir but could you please move?" i asked nicely. The guy looked down at me, smiled and said, "sure, i'm sorry." Oh man, was he cute. But he was too old for me and not my type. "Its fine," i replied. He got down from his ladder and walked to the front door. I ran downstairs and opened the door for him. Man, he sure was cute! "please come in" i said. I offered him water, which he gladly drank. " I'm Darry!" said the guy. "I'm Chelsea, and im living here with my grandparents over the summer!" "Oh cool, i live next door" Darry told me. cool, I thought, Darry is my neighbor!

Darry's POV:

Man that girl was a real cutie! She was so nice! I bet Pony would like her. He's been complaining that he needs a girlfriend. That Cherry Valance thinks that just because Ponyboy talks to her at school, means that she is Pony's girlfriend. For goodness sake, he is 14 and she is 16! he has told her a billion times that they are not a couple, but she never listens. Plus she is a Soc and he's a greaser. i've told Pony that Cherry just wants to be friends with him so she can use him to get good grades (he always gets As) But he will learn sooner or later.
